WOYWW #588

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well today. I managed to clean off my desk this weekend, so I have a place to work!

Here is my desk this morning:

You can see that I have started working on a scroll book, using the two macrame tubes from last week! It's almost done, so I should be able to show you next week.

I have also been working on making salt dough ornaments for the wedding, to put on the macrame ornaments. They will serve as placecards.

It's been a busy week, I'm trying to get back into the routine of cleaning a room everyday, but since it's been awhile (I hate cleaning) the rooms are taking a long time. Today is hallway, stairs and bathroom. Yuk. Although I do swipe the bathroom everyday.

Since we will be away for the wedding, I decided I didn't want anyone traipsing through the house while we were gone (pandemic and all) I have decided to board the cats for the first time. I found a really cute place called "Whiskers Inn" which is out in the country, and has large "rooms" as well as outdoor and indoor free space. I'm hoping Mittsy and Inky can share without killing each other! So I will be going out there this afternoon to check it out. Maybe they will take photos for me and then I can share!

So that's it for today, very short and sweet!

Meow to all from the mini-panthers, and I hope everyone has a lovely week!

Hi, Linda!

I hate cleaning too! And that is unfortunate! All of the things from the room with the leak is in the way, elsewhere. Waiting for a response from the insurance adjuster. May have to find and fix the matter ourselves.

No post from me again this week but I did manage to make the two Christmas cards for the groups I’m in.

Stay well and Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn

Interesting scroll! I've made mini ones years ago.
Cool that the ornaments will be placecards! Bet they'll be great!
Hope your cats board well!
And enjoy your trip!

A scroll book sounds very interesting, Linda. I look forward to seeing more of that. I join with you in hating cleaning, but am in the fortunate position of having a cleaning lady for a couple of hours a week, paid for out of my disability benefit - it's not really enough time, given the size of the house, but it prevents it from descending into the levels of squalor of our old house before I started having someone in to do it!! During the lockdown my hubby did a really good job too.

Poor Inky and Mittsy - I do hope they will settle into their luxury hotel for the duration! Any sort of upheaval is very upsetting for kitties, isn't it.

Thank you for your visit last week, and I'm sorry it's taken me this long to reply! I seemed to run out of steam a bit as the week progressed. I was very amused at Inky and Mittsy's washing antics - you usually find the junior cat is the washer, and the senior one is the washee! It's defnitely the case here.

You sound as if you are moving in the right general direction diet-wise! I have to admit to not being a great fan of kale myself, but the black variety is certainly nicer, and improved by a good massage with lemon juice too. We also eat a lot of spinach which is another really healthy dark green leafy vegetable.

I'm glad you liked my Romanian blouse. This week is my final Romanian showing and it's particularly beautiful - I hope you visit and enjoy it! No news on the new furniture yet, but they said it could be as long as 10 weeks, although it may come considerably sooner than that, depending on how many orders they have. Each piece is apparently made to order.

Have a great week, and give Inky and Mittsy a cuddle from me!

I love the idea of the macrame teamed with the salt dough tags - absolutely brilliant! It's going to look amazing! I'm sure the cats will be fine, Catteries are very good at looking after their charges.

Great projects in the making, and a clean desk too ~ That's great! I'm not a fan of cleaning either and try to work in doing something to treat myself when I'm finished

I'm going to pretend I didn't hear you mention cleaning, I do it but don't enjoy it. If the cattery is anything like the kennels where we take our dogs (they have a cattery too) your kitties will love it. Look forward to seeing how you get on with the scroll book. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela Xnow 13X

Hi Linda, your salt dough placecards have just reminded me I also promised my daughter I would do the place cards. I'd better add that to my list of things still do do for her wedding!! I don't like cleaning- it's a necessary evil in my book, although I do confess I now have a lovely lady who comes in and does the bulk of it, and I just do the daily bits. Leaves me time to do the things I like doing! Hope the cats settle into the cattery. Have a lovely week, take care Heather xx #14
