Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Greetings all! I missed last week as I was babysitting my granddaughter for the week. I had a blast! Except for the one day (Wednesday) when she was sick with her first tummy bug :-( But that's how things go.

When I got home I decided to re-vamp my art table so that I would have more room to work:

Now to keep it this way! That's always the hardest part!

This is my desk this morning, after going through my paints and finding the colours I like best. Next I will put the swatches in my book for reference. I had never thought of doing this before, but it makes sense!

While in Toronto Jasper and I went for many walks in this park, played in the sand, went on the swings, and the toddler climber. Even went in the wading pool! Such a great place so close to her home!

And hamming it up is fun too!

Anyway, it's nice to be home, to my own little garden...

Tomatoes - almost fruiting, can't wait!!

the fountain - it's in the shade in the morning when I took this, so no fountain of water yet, but it's pretty! It certainly attracts the thirsty birds and squirrels, I think we have the busiest yard in the neighborhood!

Well, that's it for me today. As usual the kitties are out playing, watching the squirrels and exploring the yard, or sleeping in the sun. All wonderful activities for cats in the summertime! I hope you are all having a good summer (or winter), are staying safe, and having fun!

Have a great week,

Hello everyone! Let's hope the computer behaves for a few minutes! I'm going to look for a new one today, I want to move from a tower to a laptop.

Anyway, short and sweet today. Here is my desk this morning:

I'm almost finished my newest Junk Journal "Childhood" which hopefully I can share next week. I'm still working on my previous Junk Journal, which is about 30 pages long! That one is un-themed, so lots of different things in there.

I finally was able, this year, to plant some bulbs. I have never planted them before, and since we have loads of squirrels, I found out that they don't like Daffodils, so that's what I planted. We will have something to look forward to come Spring!

Here is a peek at my walk everyday...

You can just see the lake (Lake Ontario) peeking through the trees...

And here is what I see every morning after I get up...

Who can resist that cute little face!

Inky didn't want to go out at first, it's getting a bit cold in the mornings!

Well, that's it for us, "Meows" from the kitties, and from me - have a great week!

Hello to everyone out in cyberland! I hope you are all well, and starting to enjoy the Fall (or Spring) season! This weekend is our Thanksgiving, and since everyone is vaccinated we are so happy to be hosting it this year! We haven't had a proper Thanksgiving for a couple of years now, so this will be awesome! There are only 6 of us (plus little Jasper), so well under the limit of 25 in Ontario.

So this week, here is my desk:

I am making "things that will fit in my hand" for my Marjie Kemper challenge this month, starting off with tickets and coins. I will either make a ton of these, or choose something else that will fit in my hand...

It's the first week of October, here is the view from my Office window, and a bunch of garden pics:

My cherry tomato plants were prolific this year, but now their time is up...

My hibiscus has been blooming all summer, and there are still little buds on the end of each branch! This is from a plant that only flowered a couple of times in the last 2 years, after 20 years of no flowers! I think it must be happy now...we will need to bring this massive plant indoors soon...

And this one is still going strong, I can't remember the name but it has been super prolific all summer, and is a tropical plant, so either  I bring it in over the winter, or let it die...seems so mean...but have so few windows in our house! And it's so big!

And yes, the leaves are indeed starting to fall...

The cats are still happy to go out, the temperatures aren't a lot cooler, and they are probably a lot more comfortable. They do like to drop in from time to time throughout the day so say "hi!". They get a good brushing every evening, especially since SIL is allergic to cats, I'm trying to keep the hair down as much as possible. They love it!

Here is Inky in her favourite spot...

While Mittsy is "out and about!"

I hope everyone has a lovely week, and that all my Canadian friends have a wonderful holiday. Stay safe! Inky and Mittsy say "meow"!

Hi everyone! I was MIA last week because of computer problems, but glad I am back on track today! I will start with last week's desk:

And today's:

Not a lot of difference, but I did manage to sew my signatures into a book, and put the cover on that I wanted. This piece of fabric is something I made eons ago, and had it tacked to my Bulletin Board. I'm glad I was finally able to use it!

Here is the finished journal:

I just need to fill it up!

Here's my beautiful Granddaughter at 3 months old, she's getting very expressive!

And Mittsy in the crab apple tree (in front of the bird feeders)...

This is a spectacular photo I took of last Thursday night's full moon over a church tower...

And our first Hollyhock blooms from seeds I planted THREE years ago! We finally got 3 stalks, and two were diseased so I cut them down. I think I will try fresh Hollyhock seeds next year!

And finally, Inky, who hasn't been getting much press recently, so here she is!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week, "Meow" from Inky and Mittsy!

I almost didn't post today. It's a very dreary day, and I don't know where the week has gone. I think I've been in my craft room once. We did get our 2nd jabs, with little or no side effects, maybe a little tiredness and soreness. But on the 13th we are free and clear, and on the 14th we are going to see our Granddaughter! The cats are getting a cat-sitter to stay with them, I hope they like her! Here is my July 1st photo from my office, nice and green, but the spring flowers on the bushes are gone :(

And here is my sad little desk:

Our new Spirea bush is blooming!

And our hibiscus bloomed for the first time ever outdoors! And there's another bud on the way.

I bought the cats a new scratcher because their old one was totally demolished. They haven't used it yet, but hopefully soon. Mittsy has a new bed too, but hasn't used it yet either. Luckily I can return these within 30 days if they are not used.

And that's it for me today. I leave you with a video of Inky trying to catch her tail...we have the perfect bedposts for cat sitting, sometimes we have one cat on each post!

Inky, Mittsy and I hope you all have a safe and happy week,

Greetings to everyone out there! I hope you are all comfortable in whatever weather you are having!

We got our 2nd jabs yesterday, a lucky break for us and now we don't have to wait until July 13th! Just that much closer to meeting our Grandbaby in person!

Here is my desk today:

And my partially finished project. These little things to clip onto journal pages, but I just need the right paper clips. This was fun to do, and I will have a bunch to choose from when I need some decorating done. I like the little paper pad that I can pop into a journal, even take out and journal on a trip, then pop back in

And a Dollar Tree buy for $1.25, I love these butterflies, they are on sturdy cardstock, and so work well on my little clips.

Last week I promised you pics of Inky, since she hasn't been in the last few posts. Here she is on the porch, with Mittsy on the grass. They spend their days either on the porch, or making sure their territory is safe from intruders! They pop back inside every few hours to say hello, have a nibble and a pee, and then they are out again!

Inky in her favourite indoor sleeping spot, on a shelf I made for her in our bedroom window. I'm thinking she might need a bigger bed...

And here she is on my lap on the porch. She often sits on my lap when I'm sitting outside with my coffee or wine.

We all say "Meow" and "Have a great week" !

Hello to all my cyber-friends! I'm not sure I could have survived the last year and a few months as well without you! My count is 462 days since I left work due to the pandemic, and I will be counting until I am fully vaccinated, which will be on July 13th! Then I am (sort of) free again!

You are here to see my desk, well here it is. I am in mid-production of my latest project, which hopefully I can show you next week. You saw the first step last week on my desk.

We had Father's Day last Sunday, which I think most of you did as well. Here is my card to my hubby

And from the kitties

(Tim Holtz cats)

We had a Father's Day feast of Take-Out Chinese food - our favourite! We always order way more than we need so it will last a few days!

Now for that project, if you watch Bohemian Crafting videos you will know what this is, if not...

That's all you get for now!

Garden: You have been so kind to me about my garden, thank you. I do not consider myself a "gardener" but over the years things have started to look good! Hubby got a birdbath fountain for the birdbath for Father's Day, it's so mesmerizing to watch! It works through solar power, so on sunny days we get this, and on cloudy days we get spurts...

These Chinese Bellflowers were given by a neighbor last year - so pretty! Purple and white ones

and my rosebuds...are now roses! We don't get too many, so this is the best way to enjoy them

Here are Mittsy and her friend Loki hanging around the watercooler...

And Mittsy approving our new addition, a Spirea bush with 3 different coloured flowers when it blooms!

My DD finally gave me her permission to post a picture of my new granddaughter, Jasper Jane! Here she is at just over 1 month old...smiling at her Mom for the first time (usually she only smiles for her Dad!)

I will leave you with Mittsy at her finest, lounging in bed with hubby and me as we watch Dr. Who...

I will try and get some pics of Inky next week, she's a bit less active and less flamboyant!

The kitties say "meow!" and I say "Have a wonderful week!
