WOYWW #491

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

 Happy Halloween!

This was a journal page I made in 2012

Whether you celebrate or not, I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall (or Spring!) weather! We will be awaiting the little (and sometimes big) Trick-or-Treaters tonight! Hubby always buys more candy than we can give out. . .we look forward to the older kids to get rid of the leftovers! (and then he will eat the rest, or the one's he's stashed away for later!)

I haven't done much this week, my desk has hardly changed, but I did work on my Junk Journal, and am starting another art journal page inspired by Effy Wild.

Here's another view of my Hallowe'en box from last week-it doesn't close, which is why I put the spider web part on the front!

At work we have been encouraged to dress up as often as we like for the month of October (I work in a thrift store), so here are a few of my costumes this month:

I also dressed up as a crazy cat lady, but that one still needs some work. Not sure what I will be today!

That's it for me! If you are taking any little ones out tonight, be safe!

Inky says "Happy Meow-lowe'en!" Have a great week!

WOYWW #490

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! It is getting colder and colder here in Southern Ontario, but not below freezing yet, thankfully. But soon. Here is my desk this morning:

Messy again!

I made a Halloween Card:

And a Halloween Box from the cigar box I found last week:

The quote says: "Not all poison was bitter, some of the deadliest poisons were in the world tasted sweet. They were that much more dangerous because of it" I just need to add a couple of Halloween candies to the box! (do you see the Coke bottle?) The quote is by writer Nenia Campbell. Scary!

Hope you are having a wonderful October, Halloween is next week, and everyone here is gearing up for it!

Inky says a spooky "meow", and I say "have a great week!"

WOYWW #489

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Brr! Getting very chilly here! Just changed over my spring summer clothes for fall winter! Of course, now that I have done that we will get record breaking heat! (hope not!)

My desk last week was so messy, I only had a small space to work in, so I decided yesterday to tidy up:

But. . .I got distracted by a cigar box I found while continuing my clean up to the side, and had an idea. . .

Remember the stencils I got last week?

Here is what I have used them for so far:

In my junk journal:

on the matting of these photos:

and these two birthday cards for friends:

That's it for me today, Inky is camera shy today, so I will say "meow" from her, as I'm sure she means it, and "Have a great week!" from me!

WOYWW #488

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! I hope you are all enjoying nice weather - we actually broke a heat record yesterday with 21C. I don't know if that is good or bad considering the news we got yesterday about climate change. But the weather is nice anyway.

My DD was visiting last week, and so I really didn't get to my desk at all, except to make her a (pretty lame) bookmark. I will make her some more this week (hopefully). As you may or may not know, we had our Canadian Thanksgiving this past weekend. Do you have Thanksgiving where you are? It is a time to feel thankful and grateful for what we have in our lives. I feel that everyday, but it is nice to celebrate it with loved ones as well!

Here is my desk this morning:

and my new stencils!

Now for some weekend pics-we went to a place called Upper Canada Village on Saturday night, usually a reconstructed village from the 1800's, now transformed into Pumpkin Inferno! All of these are made from carved pumpkins!

Owls. . .

This one was part of a 60's theme presentation, complete with music and flashing lights
  Under the sea...

famous paintings. . .

and so much more! You can google it and see more photos if you want!

Here we are tat the end, I bought myself a spiderweb hat!

and now Thanksgiving. . .DD and her Grandma (my mom)

DD and her Uncle Ken (my brother) (he made the pumpkin pies!)

and dinner! Turkey fresh out of the oven. . .

and my plate. . .

and Monday we went for a walk down to the lake while the soup was bubbling away

It was sad to see her leave, but we had such a lovely time!

Here is my fall garden this morning:

and Inky overseeing it all!

If you had Thanksgiving this weekend, I hope yours was as lovely as our was! Inky says "meow!" and I say "have a great week!"

WOYWW #487

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! It's cold and rainy here in southern Ontario, hope you are having better weather! I was only in my stamping room a couple of times this week, and my desk looked like this this morning:

I had a good friend in hospital this week who had an emergency triple bypass, so I gave her this card that I had made previously, as a get-well card. (she's doing well!)

And I have prepped my junk journal page for Thanksgiving which we are celebrating in Canada on the weekend. The white page on the left is waiting for my new stencil to arrive, I have plans. . .

And my Day of the Dead journal page is finally finished! All I needed was the white to finish it off, and I was able to do it with a fine liner bottle of white paint + extender to get some beautiful fluid white lines

And here is Inky, all tired out after "helping" me change the sheets on the bed!

Inky says "meow" and I say "Hope you have a wonderful week!"

PS: I'm hoping to get to as many of you as possible, but my DD is arriving tonight while I'm at work and we have a lot planned for the next few days, so I do apologize in advance if I don't get back to you this week, I will try and make up for it next week!
