Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

This has been a bit of a strange week, so a short and sweet post today.

My desk this morning:

Still working on unmounting and organizing my stamps, the good news is I'm almost done!

Mittsy had a close encounter with a young fox yesterday, but I scared it away, and she was very appreciative! As we walked back to the front yard together, she rubbed her head on my leg...so sweet!

That's it, Julia will be proud, have a great week, the kitties say "meow"!

It's the first day of Fall!

Some people are happy, some are not. To me Fall is pretty, but Winter is not far behind, and I don't like winter.

Today my computer is so slow, I type in my words, and wait for the computer to catch up. Frustrating.

Anyway, here is my desk this rainy fall morning:

I still have a lot of unmounted stamps to put into my binders, but two broken sewing machines. So I finally came up with this idea:
The bottom is a magnetic photo page, and a trading card sleeve is stapled to it. Less efficient than my old ones as I only can use one side, but stronger due to the magnetic photo page. For larger stamps I'm using photo pages stapled to the magnetic pages, but it means only 2-3 stamps per page. But I like it, and it's easy. I get the magnetic photo pages and binders from thrift stores. So that's been keeping me busy.

I finished the cover of an old Dylusions Journal that I left blank for years (since 2017!), waiting for the right inspiration to arrive. As you know I joined Marjie Kemper's year long group, and voila! The inspiration I needed! This used a bunch of metal items that I had been saving for years with no plan. My favourite was the brass keyhole, so I left it as is. The rest I coated with black gesso, then used metallic rub ons.

Of course, I had to do the back as well!

So that's my week, the cats are out in the rain,  Inky in her chair in the porch, and Mittsy probably in her favourite spot in the bushes beside the house. They both pop in and out several time during the day, just to say "hi" and get a bite to eat, and then They're out again! They have been well trained now to come in for the night around 5pm, all on their own, which is when they get their treats!

Well that's it for me today, the kitties say "Meow" and  I say have a great week! I think today will be a lazy day spent in my art room!

Greetings all! I hope today finds everyone happy and well! We are feeling "fall" these days, the days are shorter, sitting on the porch with coffee in the mornings is cooler, but still lovely! Apparently we had a big loud thunderstorm last night that I slept right through!

My desk this morning:

I had just finished 2 cards, and anniversary card for DD and SIL, and a BDay card for a dear friend, so things look a bit tidy. Here are the cards:

I also completed a challenge in my new Mixed Media Group with Marjie Kemper, the challenge was "Time", and so I did a journal page:

But I felt it was missing something in the middle...

So I added the word Time. I think it works!

I am now working on the cover of one of my journals, which is the Project of the Month in the Mixed Media Group. Hopefully it will be finished by next week!

Both cats are out wandering this morning as usual. Mittsy had a big ugly clump of hair on her back so we bought some cat brushes, and hubby has made her beautiful again! that's about it, I hope everyone has a marvelous week, and the kitties say "meow!

Hello everyone! Finally made it on a Wednesday! My computer decided to play nice today.

Here is my desk this morning. I had just finished my Mini Art Journal that I made in a workshop with Marjie Kemper, and it was such a mess I decided a good clean-up was in store...

so this is just a start!

Here is the Art Journal I made in the Workshop:

Sue Renshaw also did this workshop! I have since joined the year long group, so I will have some method to my madness from here on in!

The cats are both outside on this rainy day, Inky just watching the world go by on her cushioned chair on the covered porch, and Mittsy wondering what's going on inside the house. She didn't want to come in though!

So that's it for me today, the kitties say "meow", and I say have a great week!

HI all! I'm a day late...waiting for the pictures on my computer to co-operate, which I just figured out how to do. But I forgot yesterday how to do it...senior moment I guess! It's taking me ages just to post this one photo!

Here is my desk yesterday morning:

I couldn't even add notes to it this time. Hopefully next week the computer will be co-operating.

Here are some pics of a project I'm working on. I signed up for a week long workshop with Marjie Kemper to make a Mini Art Journal. Marjie is the Queen of Distress Inks, and I hadn't worked with them for a long time, so I thought I would do a "refresher course"! So here is day one:

Next week I will (hopefully) be able to show you the next 4 days.

Last Wednesday we went on an adventure to Ottawa to the Van Gogh Exhibition. Not real Van Gogh, but a really neat "show" of his art. It was in a big room (unfortunately it was a very hot day and there was no AC or ventilation) with images projected on the walls and the floor. The images were constantly changing, it was very cool!

The "show" was about 45 minutes long of constantly changing, morphing and evolving Van Gogh paintings and quotes, it was amazing! And of course it leads you out through the (very expensive) Gift Shop!

I started a Keto (low-carb) diet a month ago and I'm experimenting with ways to have bread without having real bread. So I made some "Chaffles". Waffles made with cheese, eggs and almond flour. Here was my Chaffle sandwich the other day:

Cute, isn't it? It's made with a mini-waffle maker!

That's it for me, a day late, I will try to get to as many as I can this week, last week was a bomb :-(

The kitties are doing well, the heat has gone away (for awhile), and it feels like Fall already.
