It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! Well, March went out like a lion here, with a massive ice storm on the weekend, and now we are expecting another one over the next 2 days. Hopefully it will not be a bad as the first one. But first, here is my desk this morning:

I have gotten into a strange habit of putting everything away before I leave my desk...weird for me!

Last week I was working on making some houses to have on hand, so I made these:

Check out the window in the first house! I used one of my houses in my new journal. I think I will be using up extra fodder from my Fodder School as backgrounds in this journal. Should be interesting and different!

Well, that's in for my art room contributions, I didn't get into my art room very often this week.

I will end this post with photos from the ice storm. The eeriest sound was all day on Sunday, the ice from the trees was falling on the roof, sounding like a giant was throwing and breaking glass on the roof all day long!

That's it for me today, hoping that we don't get as much ice tonight as we did on Saturday! I hope everyone is enjoying a warmer start to spring than we are! Have a great week!

Hello! We have had a bit of a snowy weekend this week! A bit more than usual...

But the roads are all plowed and everything is good.

Here is my desk:

Nice and clean, a frame on top which I am giving to the thrift store, but otherwise pretty clean. That doesn't mean I didn't make anything last week - I made my hubby's Valentines card!

Other than the card, I am still working on organizing my art room. This week I organized all my stencils, among other things.

My Mother's 90th birthday went very well, she was very pleased! Getting ready to blow out her candles!

And here she is with her best friend...

And here is Jasper, so excited about Valentines Day!

That's it for me today, I'm off playing Pickleball this morning, so will visit tomorrow! Inky and Mittsy are saying "will Spring EVER come??"!

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Today is the 20th Anniversary of my Blog! A Blogaversary if you will! Hard to believe I've been doing this for 20 years!

Anyway, I am still in the midst of cleaning and organizing. Here is my desk, looking a bit better than last time...(taken yesterday)

Things are looking more organized, and neater, and I have more room to move! I would say, if you drew a line down the middle of my room, the left side would be done.

Here are a few highlights:

And here is a big box of storage boxes etc that I'm not using anymore (there's even more in Jasper's room)

We had a beautiful snow last night, large fluffy sticky snow, and this is what we woke up this morning (taken from the second floor looking down onto the street) -that's not the sun - it's my bedroom light!

And the view from where I am now sitting, a bit different than last week!

Well, that's it for me today. As usual I'm off to Pickleball this morning, and will get to everyone tomorrow!

Have a wonderful week, Inky and Mittsy send their purrs,

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! As usual I am writing this on Tuesday as I have Pickleball on Wednesday mornings. I do try to get to everyone on Thursday!

I am in the middle of re-organizing my art room, so everything is either in Jasper's room, in the hall, or just in a pile on my desk, as you can see here:

I am working on the area in front of my desk and behind me as I sit at my desk, putting the things I use or need the most there.

Looking into my room, I managed to get a lot of stuff off the floor and either in the garbage or in the hallway. The red tower used to be on the floor under my desk in 2 sections. I could never get to it.

This is the little rollie cart that was piled high with my Fodder School lessons, and things I could not get to. I do not need my Fodder School lessons available at all times. I will put them in my File Cabinet when I can get to it! Now I have things in it that I use all the time.

This is the wall behind my chair. I have not moved the cardstock, but the Distress Inks which used to be behind me have been moved (I don't use them every day) and I have there 3 baskets of paper items, cards, ephemera, etc all organized in bags so I can easily find what I want. This idea came from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5Vb919_Tlw&ab_channel=TheCraftyOrganizer   She does this with everything, including all the little metal pieces of ephemera, and in other places in her home, but this will probably be the extent of what I will be doing with it. It isn't an entirely new idea, as I had already done something similar with my Fodder School scraps. I also have all my single words in a basket, and my word and sayings books underneath it, all in one place.

This rollie cart is now beside me. It used to hold all my large stencils in accordion folders, and my 12x12 stencils. It also acted as a catch all with things piled on top of it, and was behind me. It is now beside me with all my stencils organized in alphabetical order, and the large stencils in large bags behind the small stencils. My 12x12 stencils are on the shelf under the "words" basket. I think this is the perfect spot for these!

Here you can see most of what I have done in the last week. Still a lot to do!

Here is Jasper's room and the hallway...

Except the rollie basket is now in my art room. So I still have a ways to go!

Here is the view from my office window this morning...

Isn't that pretty! We are expecting a bunch more snow overnight tonight. I guess winter is finally here, this is more snow than we've had so far his winter!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week, purrs from Inky and Mittsy!

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Once again writing this on Tuesday, Pickleball starts again tomorrow! It is a rainy fall day today, they are threatening snow on the weekend, but I can do without it!

Here is my desk this morning:

I had just finished making 2 more Christmas cards...I now have 5 cards in total.
I'm sure you know how to make these cards, but just in case, here is how they started:

I used watercolours and Posca Paint Pens to finish them off. Here are the three I previously made:

I wanted to try a couple of nighttime scenes, but I think I will stick to the daytime scenes! I also might add some sparkly snowflakes.

I have also finished a stage of my masterboard. Last week I showed you the collage, this week I stenciled over both sides.

Wait until you see what I do next week!

I can't believe our next WOYWW will be in December! Time flies! We are getting ready for our annual Christmas Party this weekend - our 50th if you can believe it!(I have a hard time...) These are all people from Uni, the boys all lived in the same house, and us gals married some of them! I will leave you with a picture of Granddaughter Jasper, getting excited about Christmas - her Mom has the tree and decorations up already!

Have a wonderful week!

PS: I don't get a chance to visit WOYWW until at least Thursday, so check your comments on the weekend! I usually try to visit everyone.

What lovely October weather we have been having! Temperatures going up to 21°C! We have been able to sit on the porch for wine time most of the month! Crazy...

Here is my desk, taken yesterday:

Not much happening, although I did buy 2 tins for upcoming projects, and a couple of new paints. Other than that it has been a slow week, not much action here! Hopefully next week I can get back to working on my accordion book.

Here is a page from my JIYA journal. The skeleton is something that I have had for years and years, that was made by a woman named Tolegranny that belonged to a group I was in many years ago. I've always loved this skelly, and was glad to find a permanent home for her before she fell apart!

This past Sunday was our 40th wedding anniversary! It's hard to believe! Here is the card I made for my hubby from one of the collages I made in the spring:

We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar on the Friday night, and we got a snap of us, 40 years! It seems like a long time, but doesn't feel like a long time!

                                                                            2024

I made a special anniversary dinner of roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding, and this time the Yorkshire Puddings worked! First time for me!

Well that's it for me today. The cats are enjoying the fall weather, but come in often to get warm, then pop out again. They do love the afternoon sun!

So Mittsy and Inky say "meow" to all their cousins across the pond, and I say "have a great week everyone!"
