WOYWW,#549

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! Finally made it again, though very late. It is all because of working Tuesday and having early chiro on Wednesday. Oh well! Today will be very short and sweet, just how Julia likes it!

I have not visited my desk once this week, so it looks exactly the same as last week. What I have done though, is turned this:

into this!

I have the stamps I still need to work on here-still a lot of work to be done!

And finally, Inky sitting on the bannister - Aaaaakkkk!!!! Not a care in the world, except for the huge drop down the stairs just beside her! Apparently only I am aware of that danger!

We are just starting to get ready for Christmas, the tree is half decorated, as is the rest of the house. So far Mittsy has been a good girl and not climbed the tree or knocked off any ornaments!

Hope everyone is well and happy, and that you all have a wonderful week! Meows from Mittsy and Inky!

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I made it! I wasn't sure, it's already afternoon, but I did it! Short and sweet today, here is my desk:

and the 3 cards I made this week-this is still the only Christmas paper I have!

We had a big snow on the weekend, and both cats are outside!

and finally, my hibiscus has bloomed again! The third time since I brought her in from the porch in September, but only one flower at a time. But, it's the first time she's flowered in 20 years!

I'm sorry I didn't get back to everyone last week, you sent me such wonderful caring comments, made me feel so nice and loved! Thank you! I will try to do better this week!

WOYWW #547

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I'm back! I don't know if you missed me, but I did miss you! I went into a bit of depression where I couldn't do much except go to work and sit in bed watching TV. Very unmotivated, couldn't even go into my nice neat craft room :-( Last week I bought a bread machine and started making homemade bread. The first few trials were horrible but then I found the "perfect" recipe and it's been uphill from there. Then I got another bread machine, the horizontal kind, and I like that one even better. I read today on Twitter that if you start making homemade bread, it means you are depressed. I must have been, because I feel better now!

my first loaf from my "horizontal" machine- cuts more like a regular loaf

Here is my desk:

And my Christmas stamps, ready to go!

And my first two, very simple cards, using the only Christmas paper I have! I will probably make a few more of these.
The tree that looks hand-carved was bought in London, England, by my Dad, who passed in 2001, and is one of my favourite Christmas stamps.

Thanks for looking, that's it for me today, I'm so glad I was able to do this post! Inky and Mittsy are fine, chasing each other all over the house, sounding like a herd of elephants, but I love it! Have a great week,

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone. I have been so busy this month - they have me working days which makes writing this post very difficult, I'm too tired (and so I forget!) on Tuesday night, and then don't have the time Wednesday morning. So I did miss last week. I do have today off though, so here I am!

I did take a photo of my desk this morning, but I can't find it on my i-cloud photos. Why can't they make things easier to find? I also have a photo of the card I made for our 35th wedding anniversary, but it hasn't shown up either. So I will start with my work costumes.

We have a big University in my city of Kingston, called Queen's University. Every year they have Homecoming, and as it was homecoming, I thought I would dress as the Queen's student I used to be 40 years ago! (Graduated in '79!)

This one is the Crazy Cat Lady. My shirt says "Mother of Cats" I have Inky on my shoulder and Mittsy at my side, along with a few more cats! I am wearing cat pajamas, and did not brush my hair, just popped it into a kind of bun, and put horrible make up on.

Scarecrow! This one I thought was very good, and got lots of compliments!

A witch, kind of like the ones in the movie Hocus Pocus

The Mayor of Halloween Town...

A leopard...

And I am getting better at the make up! Again I was Disco Cat, but with better make up this time!

Well, I finally found my desk photo, not much to see, but I at least got to it once this week, to make an Anniversary card for Hubby!

Well, I didn't actually make the entire card, I had so little time that I bought a card that had a lot of empty space on the front, and the perfect words inside, and added my own to the front!

I added the birds, the branch, the heart and the numbers! It worked out well!

As we are nearing the end of October, I am hoping to have more time to spend in my craft room, and therefore with you! I wish all of you a wonderful week,

WOYWW #540

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed

Greetings all! Hope you are all happy and in good health. I have been working so much this week - October is our busiest week of the year and we are short-staffed, unfortunately. When I'm not working I'm recovering. Last week my Fit Bit steps were 37,565 steps, mostly at work. So my desk has not changed much, except that I've cleaned my hallway, which meant my Niagara Falls things had to come into the room...

Being as we are a Thrift Shop where people come and buy costumes for Hallowe'en (it's very big here), we are allowed to dress up for work, so this is who I've been this week:

Disco Cat:

Grumpy Old Man:

a Gypsy/Fortune teller:
and a pirate (forgot to take a pic!). I may be a Pirate again tomorrow so I will be sure to take a  pic! I have a few more identities up my sleeve, so I will share some next week.

This weekend is our Thanksgiving, so our daughter is coming home for the weekend, we are very excited! I hope everyone has a wonderful week, I know the kitties are asleep somewhere in the house...

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed

Happy October!! It is raining today, probably until tomorrow. The leaves are starting to turn, the weather is cooling off. In Alberta (no where near me, Thank Goodness!) they already have masses of snow.

Short and sweet today, I just don't have time this morning for more:

This is what I have removed from my Craft Room so far:

This is what I still need to work on:
And this is what the rest looks like today! I can even leave the door open, it looks so nice!

Working tonight - I get to dress up all of October, so tonight I will be a pirate! Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! Gimme your money! (I work as a cashier!)

Wet kitties and I say say "have a great week!"

WOYWW #538

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed

Hello to all! Hope you are having lovely Fall weather (or Spring, down under!). We are having wonderful warm days and cool nights. The leaves are just starting to turn, summer is leaving us behind until next year.

I had a strange week, starting with breaking a tooth, that turned into a rather large abscess, now on penicillin, but was ordered not to work for two days to allow the penicillin to get to work. Back to work, abscess is much better, back to normal until I have to have the tooth pulled in October. It was a choice between root canal and pulling, and pulling will be far less painful than the root canal I had last year.

I am very proud that my workspace is still neat and tidy, cleaning as I go:

I finally was able to get to my new purchases from Amazon that were ordered in July, and only just opened yesterday. I also went on a trip to my local stamp store (which is close to my dentist!) and got a few things...

The Big Shot accessories were from Amazon, the rest from the stamp store. I didn't know I needed the Big Shot accessories until I tried die cutting the bugs and the wildflower TH dies...apparently I needed a magnetic base, and this brush thingy to push out all the tiny bits.So I cut out all my bugs...

And then UTEE'ed them so they are nice and solid and shiny, ready to use!

And I can't believe I can still see my guillotine! I've even used it a few times!

So that's it for me, here is Mittsy saying "meow" from the highest spot she can sit in the house - on top of the headboard bedpost!

Have a great week, from me and the kitties,

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

First of all, many apologies to all of you who commented and I wasn't able to get back to. Thank you so much for your comments and your encouragement of my decluttering and tidying endeavors! I should be better able to comment this week. And Mittsy is enjoying all her birthday wishes!

Here is my desk today:

My new project is to make a box to keep my cards in that are ready to go. At the moment there are not too many of them, but I hope to change that soon!
And because my room is feeling so clean and tidy, I was actually able to make some cards! (These all already have homes!)

This post is short and sweet, as I have a chiro appointment in a few minutes! The kitties say "meow" and I say "have a great week everyone!
