WOYWW #564

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone. I hope all of you are well and secluded away from the virus. If you have to still work outside your home, stay safe and thank you for your part.

Here is my desk this morning: (I just tidied it up)

I've been making lots of cards to send to friends who are shut in as I am. Hopefully it will bring them a little cheer!

I made a whole bunch that I forgot to photograph before I sent them off. Most were like the one above with the bird and wildflower dies.

I am also journaling about the Pandemic, maybe someday it will interest someone, or maybe we can look back and say I remember those days...

What we need right now is some beauty, some semblance of "normal", and my hibiscus gave that to me this week!

Have you seen Patrick Stewart reading Shakespeare Sonnets?

I guess that's it for me, at least more time gives us more time to create!

Lots of good wishes and virtual hugs and purrs from Mittsy, Inky and me, have a great week and stay safe!

WOYWW #563

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are well. We are all dealing with the ramifications of Covid-19, and it is such a blessing that we can still be in touch. I think about what life would be like if we didn't have computers to keep everyone in touch in times of crisis like this, to keep on top of the news, to make sure at least part of our lives continue as normal. With that said, I am self-isolating, as I'm sure many if not all of you are as well. We have been very lucky to only have (as of yesterday) only 3 cases in my city. I am so happy that I have a craft room chock full of things to do!

Here is my desk this morning, not much is happening, but I have plans...

I made some previous stencil play into cards:

And that's about it.

I thought I would show how I am storing my unmounted stamps today. I unmount them, usually just by heating the stamp with my heat gun, and they pull right off the wood. Then I put a couple of drops of this stuff on the back and let dry.
I prepare the top card which shows the stamp and maker, cut a piece of the photo protector page that comes with photo albums for the base that the stamp sticks onto.

They go into an album like this

 into pages
that I have pre-prepared by sewing pockets to fit the stamps.

They are all stored here:
very easy to get to and find the stamp I need!

That's it for today. Hopefully I will get the rest of my stamps unmounted during my time at home.

Mittsy says "stay safe, self-isolate and social distance!"
Inky and I say "have a great week!"

WOYWW #562

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings all! I hope you are all in fine health! Today will be short and sweet as I'm writing Wednesday morning and don't have much time. My chiropractor is awaiting!

Very messy desk today, I finally got my mini-printer working and I've printed off the last two photos I need for my page on the Dufferin Islands. My workspace seems to be shrinking, so a clean-up will be next!

I made a bookmark for a co-worker's birthday (I'm making everyone a bookmark for their birthday-my project for the year). Next one up will be Celtic/Viking oriented for a 19 year old boy with Celtic tattoos all over his arms!

Mittsy was so cute last night watching me in bed, playing on my tablet, with her head tilted, I couldn't resist a photo!

Stay healthy everyone! And have a great week! Happy early St. Patrick's Day!

WOYWW #561

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I hope everyone is well, we are doing fine over here! My DD and her fiance are off to Costa Rica next week, must be nice to be them!

Here is my desk today:

I have some new toys to play with! My belated birthday present to myself, there was a Tim Holtz sale online from a US company, unfortunately, with converting to Canadian dollars, and an added $25 fee from the border, I probably paid more than I saved. :-(

I now need to buy the stamps that go with the Tickets, of course! I didn't realize when I bought the die set that the stamps didn't come with. Always something...

A new bookmark,

it reads: I was going to do something today, but I haven't finished doing nothing from yesterday.

And two new pieces I made after playing with my new stencils and stamps. I think they will be cards.

Here are Inky and Mittsy playing, Inky being the laid back one on the chair giving a swipe once in awhile, and Mittsy putting in all the effort!

And finally, they are getting closer and closer on the bed, this is as close as I've ever seen them!

Have a wonderful week!
