WOYWW #626

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

The 2nd of June already! I have taken a beginning of June photo here:

We have a lovely flowering bush that I can smell all the way up to our upstairs bathroom while I taking my bath! We lost a tree over the winter from this spot which was sad, it's much more open now on the corner.

Today's desk:

Some new journal pages:

The left side is a card (not the octopus though!) that a friend sent me on my birthday. I like to use cards I get in my journals!

And my June BUJO - I'm sure you can guess the theme!

This page still needs some work...

I have a different quote for each week

Mood and sleep, also recording when I'm in pain. I've stopped using my watch info for sleep, it's usually wrong.

I have found recording my dinners to be very helpful when I need to find, for example, the last time we had sausages for dinner! I need to keep my calories between the 2 red lines.

Well that's about it for today. I'm hoping to get around to more people next week, I apologize for being remiss. My leg has been extremely painful, so I'm doing a lot of resting, and my computer keeps crashing when I want to get things done. Thankfully I will be going to the physiotherapist next week and hopefully things will get better. My hubby keeps telling me I need a new computer, we will see...

Mittsy and Inky have found a nest of baby mice somewhere in the house, and have brought us two just this morning. Sad for the babies, but I really don't want mice in the house.

I will leave you with a picture Mittsy making friends with our next door neighbor, Loki. He's a beautiful cat, very passive for a male. But he had also found a mouse in the yard, and was playing with it, and wouldn't let Mittsy near it. His Mom said "Loki! Share!" I said, laughing, "Cat's don't share!". Anyway, they seem to be friends, and Mittsy can easily climb over the fence to his yard.

Have a wonderful June week everyone!
Mittsy and Inky say "Meow!"

Happy May! The leaves are just starting to burst out, everything is starting to look green again! But it's still cold, Brrr! We had a hard frost the other night, I'm glad I hadn't planted anything!

Today's view (Wednesday) outside my window:

I haven't done much of anything this week, just worked in my BUJO to get it caught up. I'm almost there, at least I have the important pages done! My theme this month is babies, since we will have a new addition to the family sometime this month. Since I don't know if it will be a girl or boy, my colours this month are pink and blue.

And my Craft Room desk is here. I tried to incorporate my stamps as well in my BUJO, and of course, found all kinds of stamps that need glue:

Yesterday (Wednesday) we changed internet providers, and so had no internet for most of the day as they had to install all kinds of things, so this post is very late, and I will keep it short!

Have a great week!

Hello all! Our last post in April! May will be an awesome month, especially since I will become a Grandma, and I will be vaccinated!

Time for another peek, my desk has gotten some use this week, but mostly for gluing unmounteds.

And my last week of April page in my BUJO, I'm really behind, I have a lot of work to do before Saturday!

I tried to get the flowers on this page to reverse - does anyone know how to do it? I tried stamping on an acrylic block, didn't work. I tried stamping on vellum (from a You Tube video) didn't work. I ended up just gluing down the vellum instead. Any tips?

This week has been rather exciting outdoors with foxes, raccoons and squirrels to chase! Mittsy did come nose to nose with Mr. Fox this week, and after I chased him off she stood guard on the porch waiting for him to come back! I think she thinks he wants to play...

I found this little guy in the backyard...

Mama having a little rest in our front yard without the kits...the cats were inside.

And another friend to play with...

It's funny, Mittsy sneaks up on the squirrel to surprise it, and that's all! She has never attacked one, sometimes chases it up a tree, but to her, I think, it's just playtime.

Well, that's it for this week, see you in May! I hope everyone has a great week, and Mittsy and Inky say "meow!

WOYWW #618

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Happy April!! It seems Spring is finally here, we've been having warmer than usual temperatures lately, with lots of sunshine! I can remember Easter Sundays of the past, when Easter came early, there still being a lot of snow outside, and the kids would hunt for their eggs in the snow! I guess Global Warming is at work.

Here is my desk today. I've been working a lot on my BUJO to get caught up for April.

And here are my BUJO pages

I haven't quite finished my gratitude page, and I have 2 more weekly pages to do. Hopefully it will all be done by the time I have to start May!

The Easter Bunny did come to our house, as he always does, kids or no kids! The chocolate pile is much smaller this year, as I am trying to lose my last 25 lbs...but he still gave me my favourites!

We had our deviled eggs on the porch in the sunshine (until we got too chilly!) made by hubby,

then a lovely crock-pot ham with pineapple, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus. I used frozen sliced potatoes for the first time, and it worked perfectly! Will definitely get another big bag of potatoes for the freezer!

So, we have a nice lot of leftovers to enjoy!

Dessert was carrot cake, made from carrots I had shredded a few weeks ago, and that worked out beautifully as well...but very high in calories :-( so only one piece for me and I gave away most of the rest of it.

It was a very nice Easter in spite of the fact that our DD, who usually comes for Easter, wasn't here for yet another year, thanks to the virus.

I think the nicest part of spring, besides the weather, is the sound of birds singing early in the morning when I open my front door. I'm really looking forward to having my coffee outside when it warms up a bit more! There is a Robin who sits in the top of this tree and torments Inky, who is watching it from the upstairs window. Anyone who has cats knows the sound of a cat watching a bird...

Inky had a run-in with Mr Fox yesterday, but she is very fast and scary and Mr Fox had a very surprised look on his face when I came out to shoo him away!

And here is Inky in her favourite spot once again...

And I just remembered I forgot to do an April 1 photo from my office window, so here it is a few days late...

That big dark spot is the cat's hammock, empty at the moment...no leaves yet, but no snow either!

Well, that's it for us, Inky and Mittsy say "meow, watch out for the foxes!" and I say have a great week, stay safe!

WOYWW #617

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

The last day of March! It seemed like a long month. Waiting for vaccines...and waiting...I'm very happy for all of you who have been vaccinated! the more the merrier! Someday our turn will come too...

Anyway, here is my desk today, I didn't do a lot this week, just working to get my BUJO ready enough to work in starting tomorrow!

And here is my first week in my BUJO. I have lots of tracker pages to do as well, so I will be busy today!

A funny (now) story. I was working on my BUJO at my downstairs desk, coffee cup to my left, and the cats are chasing each other as they often do in the mornings. Inky jumped up on the desk to get to the hammock, but her right hind leg went straight into my cup of coffee! It was a shock for both of us! Coffee everywhere! Luckily the cup didn't tip over, but coffee on the cat, the window, my BUJO, the table...I quickly dried off Inky's leg, then the window, then ran upstairs with my BUJO to the hair dryer. I had to dry almost every page. The edges of most of the pages had been affected. The worst, of course was the page I was working on, the one above. Luckily I hadn't added the large sticker that covers the left side, so the sticker is covering a big coffee stain, but on the right side you can see some damage covered up by the leaf stamp. Something to remember when I look at my BUJO in the future! I will be more careful with my coffee from now on...

Well, that's it for me today, short and sweet. Both cats are outside frolicking in the rain, they are spending more time outside now that the weather is nicer, but they will get a big shock tomorrow - Snow is predicted!

Happy Easter, don't eat too much chocolate - what am I saying! INDULGE!!!! Have a great week, get you jab if you can, and stay safe! Mittsy and Inky would say "meow" if they were with me, but they are having too much fun.
