Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day (or Galentines Day as my single friends like to call it!) We had a lovely evening with music, dancing, homemade dinner, and candy! Anyway, here is my desk today, I was busy last week but I haven't been here at all this week. I think it's lonely!

Last week I made my mother's birthday card, and hubby's VDay card

I used Gelli Prints for the background of both. I also made a little Tag Book that I gave to my Mom for her birthday:

These were a set of tags that came with hubby's new winter coat, so I snatched them! I used my gelli prints for the backgrounds, and Tim Holtz's people, and some stamp embellishments I bought years ago. Also TH's words, some from the snarky set.

Last but not least, I managed to get a picture of Inky, laying in a most uncomfortable spot on top of my piano book on a small table beside the piano! Poor thing feels a bit lost in the winter!

Mittsy has found a new favourite spot down in the basement on a comfy chair in my hubby's office, I don't see her all day, I think she's hibernating!

Well, that's it for me, have a wonderful week, and "meow" from Mittsy and Inky!

Well, here we are at the beginning of a new month! I call February the longest shortest month of the year, because to me it seems to go on forever...too cold, too much snow, I want Spring!!

Here is my desk today. My hubby got a new coat and it had a neat set of tags all connected together, so of course, I had to snag it and play with it!

And here is what surrounds me! Yesterday I was playing with black stencilling on my gelli plate on top of some prints I had made a few days ago. As you can see, some worked and some didn't, but once they are all cut up you can see more possiblities!

And we had the most beautiful little snowstorm on Monday! Lots of snow forecast for the next few days. I so love February (NOT!)

No kitty pics today, I don't even know where they are at the moment! Not outside, that's for sure, -10°C out there!

Have a great week, and "meow" from the kitties!

Hello all! I'm writing this on Tuesday, and it is a lovely sunny but cold day. Look how beautiful it is!

Here is my desk this morning:

So finally I'm happy with my my Gelli Plate and I've ordered a large one to replace my old one.

Here are some things I've done with my pulls:

And two more journal pages in my exploding journal:

I may add something to this gelli print page, not sure yet...

And finally, here is what Inky and Mittsy were doing this morning, Mittsy is longing for Spring...

And Inky is hunkering down for the rest of Winter...

Have a great week everyone! Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the week! Mittsy and Inky say "Meow!"

Hello! On Monday we had a big snowstorm that left us with 40 cm, 15.75 inches. It slowed us down for a few hours, but everything is moving normally now. I am writing this on Tuesday, where our temperature today is -11°C, or 12.2°F. A wee cold, but it was much colder last week, and will be much colder in a few days. I am so grateful I don't have to go anywhere!

Here is my desk:

I need some page dividers so I am making them. You can see the punch I used to make the tabs. This is the first of 10.

I have been playing with my gelli plate this week with frustrating results. Either I use too much paint and the brayer just slides around, or too little paint and it dries before I can get my paper on. I can't seem to hit the right amount. I've watched several videos, some use teeny tiny amounts of paint and get great results. I have a "cheaper" gelli plate, wondering of that has anything to do with it, also it is fairly old. People keep saying "don't clean your plate" so I don't, but I'm not getting the neat effects they say I should. I have ordered a small ATC size plate, so at least I won't be wasting too much paper as I try to get the hang of it. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Here is my plate:

I've tried a few kinds of paint, craft, and a few types of acrylic. I haven't tried Distress Paint yet, it's supposed to be good.

Here are the results. I have since cut them all up to use in my journals or as card fronts.

I have made one card so far just to try it. My black needs re-inking.

Enough of that, I may continue to try this out while waiting for my small plate to arrive. I also used some prints in my journal.

Here is a photo of me and Jasper at Christmas. I love this photo! She has such a happy smile!

Well that's it for me today. The cats are getting fat and lazy because they can't go outside, but once in awhile I see them tearing around the house like they are being chased by a fox! Sometimes they are chasing each other, hiding in their tunnels, around corners, behind doors, in boxes,  or their tent, ready to pounce when one of them goes by!

Have a wonderful week, stay safe and warm! The cats say "Meow"!

This isn't Inky, but if she were brave enough to plow through the snow, this is what it would have looked like on Monday!
