WOYWW #587

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings to everyone! I hope everyone is doing well, and things are getting more "back to normal". It is difficult, with our new "normal", but hopefully everyone is coping OK.

I haven't been in my craft room at all this week, except to add things to my desk.

I have added a new stamp set that should be fun in my journals, and some Alcohol lift-ink, something to play with!

but I haven't been totally idle, I experimented with adding colour to my coffee dyed papers:

which I thought turned out well, I want to make more!

And I've been getting ready for my daughter's wedding ...She's having a "boho-style" wedding, and I have made little macrame "hangings" to go on each plate, they will also serve as name tags when I make the little salt dough circles to attach to them...

and with the leftover hangings (originally there were to be 120 guests) I made these buntings to decorate the venue...

My macrame cord came on one of these:

I almost threw the empty spools away when I suddenly got a thought...what do you think I can do with these?:

Maybe next week I can show you what my thought was!

Hubby and I made it all the way to the lake this morning - about double what he has been walking for the past few weeks! Yay!

So that's it for me. Inky and Mittsy are still living the "good life"! They say "Meow" and I say "have a great week!"

Still my favourite poster!

Hi Linda. Hey, well done hubby!!! A big moment to go so far. Brilliant. Hmm... those empty spools look interesting - have fun. The results of the hard work for your daughter's wedding look great - I do like the bunting! I just love the effects on the coffee dyed papers - they are great. Well done.
Take care. God bless.

So glad your husband is getting about better Linda. Love the macrame you've made for your daughter's wedding. The coloured coffee dyed papers look great as does that new stamp set. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

Hi, Linda!
I’d be tempted to stay at the water’s edge! What a nice reward for the trek!

How are your hands holding up for all that macrame? I never made anything worth showing.

Nothing to post from me. Still trying to chase down the water leak and damage in the basement. That is where our bedroom and my craft room are. Books and boxes moved everywhere and in the way! The insurance guy says it might be from ground water! Don’t know what this will take to repair.

I have a similar poster. Love it to and it hangs in my craft room. I’ll try to share a picture of it.
How long until the wedding? Relax as they can be stressful.

Take care, stay safe and Happy Wednesday!
Kathryn

Hi Linda, wow thats a lot of work with the macrame. I take it the wedding guest list has had to be seriously cut back? I know here it's a max of 30 people. Look forward to seeing what you did with the tubes. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #14.

What a lovely post, Linda. Love the new stash, but not sure what the alcohol lift ink is - never heard of that one before! Your dyed pages are absolutely stunning and mouthwatering! Fabulous. Ah... macramé! I haven't done that since the 70s! Brought back happy memories. I am sure your daugher's boho wedding is going to be brilliant, and I hope you share some photos with us, because it's a favourite style of mine. The macramé cord spools definitely need another look and I am sure you will come up with something interesting with them. Mittsy definitely looks as if she's living the good life there, and yes, you are right, they are royalty and must be treated as such lol! Thank you for your visit and your sweet words. In answer to your question about the oil, the key words here are "added" and "refined." We do not need this. As you will see from this week's piece on my blog, you can get all the essential fats and oils you need (including omega 3) from a whole-food plant-based diet - nuts, seeds and oily vegetables such as avocados and olives. They are much healthier and are bound up with the fibre and other phytonutrients in the food. You certainly don't need to cook with oil and I never do now, nor do I add it to salad dressings. If you think you need olive oil, eat olives lol!!

Give Inky and Mittsy a cuddle from me, and Lily and Ruby say Meow.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi! Yes, I want to see what you did with the empties ~ I also want to see what the hangings will look like with a plate, I'm not getting a visual. Boho style sounds like fun. Beautiful kitty ~ Enjoy!

Loving the look at the new stamps. I've kept some little spools like those which I thought I could include in a Mixed Mdia piece but I'd be interested to see what you do with these. Great pics of hubby and kittie too. Take care and have a happy creative week, Angela x10x

The macrama bunting will look lovely. What a great idea. I bet you are looking forward to the wedding. My nephew has had to postpone his until next year, like so many people.
Well done to your hubby for walking so far.
Have a good week

That stamp set is now on my wishlist!
I am very impressed with all the macrame for your daughter's wedding. What a shame numbers have had to be cut down.
Lovely view of the lake!

Ooh the lift off ink is rather fun, but I have to say the results I got were pretty much spectacular or not spectacular at all. Probably should have another go before the pad dries up, although did buy the re-inker. Happy Wednesday, Cindy #15

I love the color on your coffee stained papers. Even though you say you didn’t do much, you still had great photos and post. Enjoy your week. Dorlene #26

Oh well done hubby, that is great progress. It’s a big old lake too, blimey, and choppy. Must be lovely to have that within reach of your home. I don’t know what the maximum guest numbers are for a wedding in the US, here it’s only 30, so a much reduced affair. Won’t stop it being awesome though, I love that you’ve managed to repurpose some of your work to make bunting, it’ll look great. Great proof that just because a desk is untouched doesn’t mean we’re not being creative.
