Still having troubles getting photos on my PC, I need a big block of time that I can devote to it along with an Apple tech guy. The last download was the end of August. So I thought I would try doing my blog from my tablet, and so here I am.

I mentioned that I was purging, and nothing has changed since then, still trying to spend time each day on that project. Here is my desk this morning:

Some views of the partially new and improved space (in progress):

This is what I have removed so far,

all sitting in a spare room. What doesn't go back will be donated:

And the item I found behind the magazines....

Writing this post on my tablet was definately more difficult than on my PC so I have to get the I-cloud problem fixed for sure!

(Update-when I was editing this post on my PC, the new photos showed up! I believe my i-cloud is working again!)

Tuesday was Mittsy’s first birthday! Happy Birthday Mittsy!

She has grown up so much, such a beautiful and smart kitty!

We all wish you a wonderful week!

Hello everyone! I missed last week, just ran out of time...but I'm here now. My problem this week is that my photos on my phone are not immediately downloading to my PC from the Cloud. It used to happen immediately, even though it took a long time to find the new photos. With all this tech we have these days, why can't we upload/download from the cloud in chronological order?

So I've been looking for the last 15 minutes, can't find this morning's photos, and have an appointment in about 1/2 an hour, so I will have to use what I have.

This week I've been cleaning out my craft room. There is sooooo much stuff in there! I even found something I didn't know I had, hidden on a bottom shelf, behind a pile of magazines, never would have looked there. Probably would have bought another one!

So here are some pics of my messy craft room prior to this week, and hopefully next week I can show you the pics I took this morning.

Well, I thought I could...I have to go now, my PC is not being nice this morning. So sorry for no pics today, I will try again next week, but I may be able to upload later to my instagram (lindart61) if you are on Instagram.

Hopefully will be able to catch up next week..have a great week!

Greeting to all, this rainy Ontario day! Finally, after a few weeks of little or no rain, we have a whole rainy day! I must confess, I have done a lot of nothing this week. I really need to plan to make a time for working in my craft room, or it just doesn't happen. I think about it, dream about it, watch You Tube videos about it, but have a hard time actually getting in there. It's kind of like "you can't have dessert until you've eaten all your dinner". Everything else comes first. I need to start having dessert first!

Here is my desk this morning, with the one thing I have done all week:

I am making a cover for my junk journal, following Marit's first challenge for the summer, that shows how far behind I am! I can't believe it's the 21st of August already and people are talking about Fall.

And here's Inky saying "What? Are you crazy? It's wet out there!" Mittsy doesn't care and went on to chase a squirrel up the fence! She never catches them, just chases them for fun.

Well, that's it for me. Still dull and raining outside, but it's nice. Hopefully you are having pleasant weather where you are, Inky, Mittsy and I wish you all a great week!

PS: Thank you for all the You Tube advice, I will get to it soon, hopefully!

Greetings to all! We are enjoying wonderfully pleasant summer temperatures for the past few weeks, this morning it was only 19° C!  (66°F). It will probably warm up to about 24°C. I hope all of you are also under more pleasant weather conditions than before.

Today will be short and sweet. I was only able to get into my craft room once this week, and I added the last page to my junk journal that I started in January. Here is my desk this morning:

I am slowly trying to clean out this room, as I hardly have room to move in here!

The biggest thing that happened this week was that I went from this craft room chair:

to this one!:

I bought it used, and I think the previous owner smoked, so I am in the process of getting rid of the smell. Almost gone! My chiropractor wanted me to switch, but this chair takes up a lot of room!

Next week I am hoping to share my completed junk journal with a video. I can make the video, but how do I get it on my blog? Do I have to post it to You Tube first? I know some of you do this, please give me some tips! Thanks!

Leaving you with a photo of nimble Mittsy patrolling the porch for pesky squirrels...

Have a great week! Mittsy and Inky are sending happy meows your way!

Hello! I missed last week as I was in Niagara Falls Ontario, visiting a friend, and didn't have access to a computer. I brought my junk journal things with me though and did some journaling, but still have some catching up to do. Here is my very messy desk this morning:

I did get some journaling done while I was away. I used my new journal that Eva sent me:

On Tuesday my printer decided to give me trouble, and I lost a cartridge of film, but then it decided to co-operate again

My friend's 100 year old mother had a fall early Friday morning, and we spent the day in the hospital, but she is recovering nicely! It changed a few plans, but that was Ok. Hubby came down for the weekend and we went to the Falls, and a place just after the Falls called Dufferin Islands. Beautiful! A nice escape from all the hype at the falls!

Some ducks on a log!

We saw a giant turtle!

Lots of little waterfalls

beautiful views-you wouldn't even guess Niagara Falls was just over those trees!

just so relaxing!

And we did drive by the Falls - VERY busy on a Holiday weekend, but I managed to get a photo with only a few people in it! This is the "American Falls"

BTW, My friend loved the journal I made for her!

I hope everyone is well, and not too hot...it's nicely raining here today, I think we will get an all day rain which is nice. The cats are out enjoying the cooler weather, and I am recovering from something that started up before I left for Niagara Falls last week, so it will be a quiet few days for me.

Greetings all! Another short post today as I am (once again - will it never stop?) feeling under the weather, and I still have to work tonight. So short and sweet so I can go and have a nap before work.

My desk this morning:

And my recent journal pages:

and hubby turned 64 on Friday!

Next week I'm in Niagara Falls for the week, I will try and post from there!

Off to have a nap, kitties say meow, and I say have a great week!

Greetings! I hope everyone is well today! I am very late posting, but I am sharing my project (finally!)

First, here is my desk this morning

And, finally, here is the project (gift for a friend) that I have been working on for weeks and weeks! I know it will be hard to picture in your head how all the flips and flaps work, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

The front: her name is on the metal tag that hangs with the giant pearl

The front opened:

The front flips up!

Fold the front back down, and open like a book:

The flap on the left open:

Close up of wildflower tag:

the right-hand flaps are opened:

Each pocket has a place for photos or journaling:

Looking to the right...the flap has a magnet, and there are tuck spots for tags, and a place for one of my i-cads I made a few years ago

The left side opens...and there is a little booklet for journaling tucked into the side

and more tuck spots and flaps on the right side      (This pic is sideways!)

The right flap is opened as well

Finally we are the end! This is the back

The journal tutorial came from Bohemian Crafting on You Tube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfXRAFpDadI&t=129s, and the paper I used was from a package called "Moments in Time", by Michelle Coleman, from Photoplaypaper.com

If you watch the You Tube video, my book might make more sense as you can see it undecorated, and how things move.

I hope everyone has a great week! The kitties and I are enjoying the summer, and loving our shady porch!
