WOYWW #634

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! I missed last week's post, but I made it back today. Actually, I thought that's what happened, but I just discovered I missed two posts! My moodyness must be worse than I thought!

We were away visiting my new Granddaughter last week - so wonderful! Such a beautiful child (if I do say so myself!) She turned 2 months while we were there!

I won't bore you with all the Grandmother stuff, but I was so glad to finally meet her, and we will see her again this weekend on our way to Niagara Falls!

My desk had not been getting any love at all lately, but I did get into the mood after watching a tutorial by Eva at Bohemian Crafting. I always have some sort of journal when I go to Niagara Falls every year (except last year ), so I thought this would be a perfect little project to get my mojo moving again. So here was my desk yesterday (after finishing the journal):

But here it was a few days ago:

I didn't have much room to work, so good thing it is a small journal!

And here is the finished project:

The cover flips up
and opens...

this is a tiny 3 page booklet that I just slid onto the side

some postcards to tuck in

a fold out page with lots of spots for journaling front and back

I'm not even sure I have it all here to show, but next week I will try and make a little video of it all completed and filled in with our trip. I never see these journals actually used, I often wonder if they ever do actually get used. I have made two for friends, and they haven't used them yet. I try to use all of mine. Do you make journals like this and never actually use them?

Anyway, time to see the kitties, here they are sleeping during our hot afternoons.

Mittsy finally using her new bed! When I first saw her she was sleeping on her back with all her legs up in the air - but I couldn't sneak up on her quietly enough to get the photo! Maybe next time...(and I returned the scratcher that neither of them touched)

and Inky on her perch, I thought it was odd how she lay her head on the side like that...

I hope everyone is well, safe, and happy! Have a great week, and a lovely "meow" from Inky and Mittsy!

What a lovely photo with your first grandchild - will always be precious! I follow the Bohemian Crafter too - she's so creative! I don't think I've seen that particular project - you did a marvellous job - I love it! Oreo's got one of those fancy beds too - he tried it once and never since! I don't get it! It's almost like they're doing it on purpose just to spite us LOL! Have a lovely, creative week! xx zsuzsa #16

What a sweet picture of you with your new little granddaughter, Linda. You must be so thrilled. I am envious of you going to Niagara Falls - that is something I would simply love to see! Lovely to hear about the kitties and their antics. I've given up with posh kitty beds because ours just won't use them. If you visit Elle (Empire of the Cat) she has a tale to tell about that - last week's post, I think - she went to the trouble of making beautiful cat beds and you can guess the result! Mittsy is a good girl to use the bed.

Your journal is stunning. I always want to get my hands on hand-made journals and albums and just handle them and enjoy the experience! The pictures only tell half the story. I particularly love interactive ones like this. Gorgeous grungey colours!

Thank you for your visit and for your wonderful enthusiasm over my positive results! I am feeling very optimistic. I have more or less made up my mind to refuse chemo whatever they say, unless I'm in imminent danger of death without it, which hardly seems likely, given the other results. I don't think I can face going through that again as it was truly horrible and made me feel more ill than I'd ever felt in my life. If it's not absolutely necessary I think it's best avoided. I still have ongoing effects from the previous lot 6 years ago.

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing Phoebe's family. I am amazed those 2 are still alive - creaky old geriatrics! It's rather funny thinking of Monty, the equivalent of a human 80 year old, still living with his mother, though - aged about 100! You'd think she'd have chucked him out years ago and told him to get a proper job and support himself haha! Anyway I'm thrilled to have those pictures to add to my album.

Sorry about your garden woes. That bad bag of seeds sounds horrendous and certainly not what you'd expect. Our second pink lily has now come out and they look gorgeous together, and there's an orange gladdy on its way, which I hope will open before the red one fades.

I think you may be right about Ruby and the neck pillow - she can probably smell me on it! Lily seeks out my hubby's dirty clothes to curl up on - he leaves them on the bedroom floor! (Typical man...)

Oh, no, please, do "bore" us with photos of both beautiful baby and beaming Granny! They are pure bliss on a miserable windy rainy day. And that journal - OMG it is really lovely. Bet the Falls are too, so let's see a bit of all three next week, please!

Happy windy day, very late, Desk Hopping!

How special to meet your new baby granddaughter - she's beautiful. And you get to see her again soon. The journal made for the trip is fabulous. I don't make journals, but if I did I would certainly fill them. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #22
