WOYWW #635

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! posting quite late today as we just got back from Niagara Falls last night, and I had to catch up on a lot of things this morning.

We had a great trip, saw lots of friends we haven't seen in a year and a half, and got to see Granddaughter Jasper twice!

But here is my desk this morning,

Not much to see since I haven't been home all week, but I did start a new journal page using an envelope that a bracelet came in - I couldn't resist! And on top of that is the box of photo papers for my Kodak Mini-printer that I use to print photos for my journals. I took it with me, but I still need to add a bit more before I can share last week's journal with you. Until then, a few photos of the trip:

visiting Jasper!

On our way to Niagara Falls! Driving by the CN Tower in Toronto

We stay with a friend who lives in Niagara Falls, so we often don't go and actually visit the Falls as we have been so many times, but this time we took a White Water Walk along the gorge that the (about half) of the water from the falls goes down, and then into the Lake Ontario, where it then flows into the St. Lawrence River and finally into the Atlantic Ocean.. The other (about half) of the water goes to power the hydro electric plant.

The Canadian side is very well looked after, safe, and spectacular. It was very loud, very beautiful and super energetic! But if you look at the last photo you see two people on the American side. We were on the Canadian side, and looking across the gorge is the USA. They are on the US side. We have no idea how they got down there, super dangerous, the man had been standing on the rock jutting out into the water in the middle just before I took the photo. They seemed to go behind a rock, so perhaps there are some stairs or a ladder of some sort. Niagara Falls Canada and NF USA are totally different.

My friend and I went for a day out in this beauty of a BMW with the top down - so much fun! This is her new toy! I buy stamps, she buys a BMW...Hmmmm...

and on the way home -

3 generations!

So that's it for me today. Next week I hope to show my finished little journal, and maybe another project as well. I just joined a FB group of a weekend of art projects hosted by Marji Kemper, hopefully it will help my Mojo!

The kitties were so glad to see us yesterday, but they were well cared for while we were gone. Inky stuck to me like glue the whole evening, purring away, and Mittsy did the same with hubby!

Have a great week, Meows from Inky and Mittsy,

oh Linda, how beautiful is Jasper, what a cutie. Somehow it doesn't surprise me that the Canadian side of the Falls is better organised than the other.....Glad the cats are pleased to see you home. Have a good week, Helen #4

Hi Linda. What a special trip! She's some cutie, isn't she!! So glad you had such a good time. We had hoped to stay your way for our silver wedding holiday in Canada - but the lovely couple we were due to stay with weren't well, so we stayed over on the West coast area.
Take care. God bless.

It must be great to be able to get away for a while, seeing your friends and little Jasper too. It always feels a bit strange when you get back for a while after being away, back to normality I guess. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x17x

Why am I not surprised that Canada takes more care of their side of the falls than the US Linda! Looks like you had a fabulous trip - Jaspwe is beautiful! My son has a BMW cabriolet (a hard top though)and I really don't like travelling in it with the top down. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

That is such a gorgeous photo of the 3 generations, truly that is the best thing in life….BMWs just end up in the cruncher like all cars but family is the best!! What fun to see Niigata, I’m not surprised the Canadian side is better, we really loved Canada on our trip!

Lordy Linda, where to start!! Jasper is just beautiful isn’t she, and I’m so so glad you’ve had time with her and your daughter now, you must have been so excited and relieved! The picture of her with her Grandpa is just lovely, but of course, the one of you three girls is marvellous, definitely one for the records. And then…Niagara! how amazing, the weather looks gorgeous too. I think I’d quite like the white water walk, safe but wild enough to make me feel intrepid!

What an absolutely lovely post, Linda. Little Jasper is totally adorable! How lovely to get to see her twice, too, and I love all the beautiful family photos. I loved the photos of Niagara Falls - I would love to visit one day but it's almost 100% unlikely that that will ever happen lol! I am so glad you had so much fun while away, and I laughed at your friend buying BMWs and you buying stamps! To have the equivalent value, you must have a LOT of stamps. I'm with you - I'd rather have the stamps than the car! I'm so glad the kitties were pleased to have you back. Some of our previous ones used to pay us back - one of them in particular, Chloe, would count the days, and pay me (personally, not my hubby!) back for the exact number of days I'd been away! We haven't been away since having our current two, apart from me being in hospital, and my hubby being away for the odd night.

Thank you for your visit - yes, it's been a busy week! So glad you enjoyed seeing my various projects, and it's interesting to hear how others store their stamps and dies. I'm glad you enjoyed the kitty content this week, too. You would not believe just how soft Lily is - her fur is quite different from Ruby's which is almost harsh by comparison (though not really - just kitty normal!). Lily developed her soft fur within about 3 or 4 days when she was a kitten. I was amazed how quickly it changed as she shed her kitten fluff. She's an immodest little soul, though, isn't she!! I've done some more kitty videos since then and hope to share them next week.

I still haven't heard back from the friend on the forum about sharing the recipes she gave me. The Worcester sauce has lots of spices in it and it tastes wonderful!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Enjoyed reading and looking at what you have been up to.
I haven't been active on WOYWW for such a long time and I lost my Artistic mojo ages ago. I am hoping for inspiration looking at prolific artists like yourself.

what a fabulous trip, and Jasper is gorgeous.
