WOYWW #611

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

This is a very sad day for us deskers, as we have lost one of our own to a battle with cancer on the weekend. Shaz Silverwolf was an avid stamper and crafter, a good friend to all, even those she had never met in person, and a delight to look at, with her multi coloured hair! Her husband was her rock, her supporter, her enabler, and her caregiver at the end. I send all my love and codolences to Doug and his family during this sad time, and hope that the memories of Shaz, alive, enthusiastic, and trailblazer will live long in all of us.

Well, we must all carry on, so here are my desks for today.

My cold desk, in the cold room:

And my warm desk where the heating vent is!:

Here is the tag I made for last week's tag challenge in my 52 tags challenge - "bevy of buttons"

and then turned it into Hubby's Valentines card!

This is in our downstairs "powder room", where I have several framed Valentines cards on the wall, and this display of Valentines ATCs

Valentines Day was an event on Sunday (we need those little events, especially now during the Pandemic), we had take-out from a very good local restaurant that we usually eat at on Valentines Day, but...

Anyway I decorated while hubby was out picking up the meal, and then we had a lovely time (he got to have more scotch than usual, and I got to have more wine!) Afterwards we played a game of Cribbage which was nice too!

That's it for me, but I couldn't go before showing you the cutest picture yet...

Have a good week, and "meow"!

Goodness your post has made me feel very hungry indeed! I love the idea of the hearts dangling with thoughts of love and that card that you created from the tag is inspired. Much love on this difficult day, Lisa-Jane #7

So sad about Shaz but isn’t it amazing how many fab comments and memories are being shared today, shows how much she was loved. That image for the tag then card made me smile, I drew my husband and I as Orang Utans! That meal looks amazing and well done for decorating the house so beautifully.

Oh, your meal looks absolutely delicious. Best way is to have a take away and then you are not afraid of drink and driving - someone has to remain teetotal in that case.
Love the tag/Valentine - brilliant!
The photo of Inky and Mittsy is adorable - one to treasure.
Hugs, Neet xx

"trailblazer" is a good word to describe Shaz - we'll all miss her very much. You've certainly made an effort for Valentine's - we always conveniently forget it! Love the idea of your hanging hearts and the food looks delish - in fact, it's made me so hungry! Lovely card with the buttons and your stand looks fab with all those ATCs! Glad you managed to sneak in a picture of the kitties as well, even though they were not in their usual spot by your desk. Hope you're having a good week. xx zsuzsa #31

Beautiful and moving words - Shaz will be sadly missed.
I love your Valentine card for your hubby, that is such a cute image, and I also love the idea of the hanging hearts with nice things written on each one - what a thoughtful idea. The meal looks delicious and no pans to wash up afterwards - great idea.
Have a good week,

Linda, love your button tag come Valentine card!! How crafty are you!! Super cute too! And what a spread!! WOW, what a lovely evening it sounds like you two had together! It's so nice to see couples that still do that! Unfortunately, I NEVER had that in over 20 years of marriage, so I envy those who do! I hope you both enjoyed your special day! Blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia #34

Hi Linda, your valentine meal looks fabulous - I can understand why you eat at that restaurant. Hubby and I completely forgot it was Valentine's Day till later on, and I just wasn't in the mood to make a card then. Shaz will be missed - and it has been lovely to read how much everyone thought of her. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #19

I started off okay today with the visits, walked dogs and went into the cabin and now I don't know where the time went to! Pleased you had a nice Valentine's Day and the photo of your kitties is so sweet. Shaz will never have really left us because her blog will keep her alive for us and I can tell you it wont be the last time I pop over there for some ideas when I get stuck, God Bless her. Glad you got to celebrate Valentines day Linda, looks like a grand meal. We don't do cards anymore but i cooked a steak dinner with homemade chocolate cake & chocolate custard one of hubbies favs. Love that cute as a button tag.
I still can not take in the news about Shaz, how I wished I had met her.
Take care & keep those feet cosy whilst crafting Tracey #3 xx

Wow. You really know how to do Valentines day right! I so want the recipe for that cauliflower Parmesan soup. Looks yummy. Love the idea of your use of ATCs as decoration - mine are all in my craft room, mostly on display but it's only me that gets to enjoy them LOL! Clever to make your tag do double duty, challenge and card. Love it.

And yes, we are all a little shell-shocked this week I think. Shaz is not one to ever be forgotten, not as long as we deskers hop.

Hugs to all on a sad WOYWW week.

What a delightful post, Linda, and a lovely tribute to Shaz. The picture of Inky and Mittsy kissing for Valentine's day was just adorable - such a great picture. I love the "tree" of ATCs which look like autumn leaves! Gorgeous. As for your table decoration and the beautiful meal you cooked, well, what can one aay? Your hubby is blessed indeed!

Romance all round.

Love your Valentine tag and I am sure your husband did too. That’s a very romantic picture of the cats kissing. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, but a good meal seems a great way to do it. Angela #21
