WOYWW #567

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Another week of social/physical distancing. Hope everyone is faring OK and staying indoors. One perk for me is that hubby does all the groceries now - I can't go to the stores! Has anyone watched the series Psych? I'm binging that, and Locke and Key on Netflix. Probably a kid's show, but I'm enjoying it! Also playing Best Friends on my tablet.

Here is my desk today:

See all those scraps at the top of my desk? They needed a home, so I'm making them one out of this:

I covered the hole with plastic so I could see inside, and it will have a magnet closure.

I have been working on my journal. I saw the cutest little project from Bohemian Crafting:

The tag pulls out from the egg! They were meant to hang as a decoration, but I like mine in my journal. On the flip side I will be putting pics of our Easter dinner, which was lovely. Usually our DD is visiting for Easter, and hubby goes all out each year as the Easter Bunny. He did not disappoint this year!
So I decided to go all out with dinner, and have it as festive as usual, even though it was only the 2 of us. But the big surprise was that my DD called on Face Time while we were both cooking dinner, and we cooked dinner "together"!

I hope all of you had a lovely Easter as well, making the most of what we already have, being thankful for what we have and where we live (it sure could be a lot worse), and welcoming Spring with open arms!

Inky and Mittsy say "Meow!" and I say stay safe, and have a lovely week!

Your husband did a great job with the Easter Bunny, it looks brilliant! And how lovely that you ended up cooking dinner with your DD together, goodness technology has been so useful, life would have been very different without it.
Keep well and stay safe,

It's nice to see people having time together although I'm sure we would sooner be back to normal. Dinner looks good and the journal too. Take care and have a crafty woyww, Angela x17x

Hi Linda. Looks like the Easter bunny did a great job! Your meal looks scrummy. How lovely to cook "together" with your daughter. I played a game of perudo with all my family last weekend - all 10 of us, 50 dice, took the whole allowed hour on Whatsapp!!! I love Peter Rabbit in the egg.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I love all your pretty Easter stuff this week, Linda. So glad you were able to have a family virtual get together! Technology is so great, isn't it - we've been WhatsApping and Zooming family and friends. Glad you've got your hubby to shop for you. Mine does for me, as well, if I can't get a delivery slot. I was highly amused at your annotated desk this week - "Space"!!?? What's that?! Haha! Love the repurposed tissue box as well. Great idea and I'm all for recycling.

Thank you for visiting. I'm really pleased you like my mandalas so much. I love combining technology with my art. And awww... I agree with you that our kitties are the cutest in the UK (no, the world actually, barring perhaps Inky and Mittsy! - don't want to offend them!) It's funny how the wool box is now completely out of favour and they haven't been near it. They aren't cuddling up together so much either. I'm glad I got all those photos of them in the box, though. Thank you for your kind words about my cooking! I've always enjoyed it, but it's become a real adventure since going mostly whole-food plant-based, and I'm learning a lot, as well as finding delicious recipes online. My hubby is really enjoying it too, which is so nice for me!

Keep safe and well, and Meow to Inky and Mittsy,
Happy WOYWW,

FaceTime has been a regular thing in our home too. I love that we can still be “connected” while being at a distance. Happy WOYWW! Dorlene #32

Lovely to see that you could have a wonderful lunch with your DD and enjoy those eggs. I do like a little repurposing and it will be useful for all those potential little bits. Hello to kitties.

Lovely journal pages - the Easter egg is gorgeous and I love the bunny stamp on the opposite page too. Lovely that you managed to cook dinner with your daughter - aren't we lucky having the technology that we have during these strange times.
Hope you have a good week, stay safe and well,

How good was that - to have a virtual cooking session! love the table your husband set and the food you made looks absolutely delicious.
i enjoy making things out of other things - used to use cat food boxes (that hold the pouches) to make lots of containers in my craft room but since the cats left next door I don't have to buy them any more. Your repurposed Kleenex box looks lovely and covering the hole with plastic is an ingenious idea.
Stay safe and well
