Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html and all will be revealed!
Today is the 36th day of isolation for me. I've been out of the house (except for exercise) 3 times. We bought a car on March 19, I've never driven it. I never thought I would miss grocery shopping, but I do. I'm eating a lot, baking a lot, so I've gained a lot. I'm trying to do something about that as well! My DD and I are challenging each other with Weight Watchers points, seeing who can get closest to what we are actually supposed to have! I'm sure most of you are in the same boat as I am. We can do it! Life will, someday, get back to some kind of normal.
Here is the most normal day of my week, this blogpost and WOYWW visit! Here is my desk this morning:
I pulled out an old unfinished journal from years ago, my "ABC Quotes" It's made from handmade paper, and all the backgrounds are prepared. I got to the letter "g" before other projects took precedence, and I haven't worked in it for years. It has been speaking to me for a few weeks now, and the quote for "h" was obvious in this period of pandemic.
I found a little flower face stamp that looks like the virus!
And another card to cheer someone up:
And I finished my scraps box. The magnets were very tricky, they just weren't working until I discovered tape to hold things down while they were drying. The inside of the box is covered in dictionary paper.
And I've been making masks, for what they are worth. Apparently they don't do much, but I'm anticipating that we will all have to wear one to go anywhere in the near future. This one at least kept the mayflies out of my mouth and nose when I went for a walk!
Every Wednesday in April I have yoga at 12:30. Mittsy likes my yoga mat!
That's it for me, I hope you are all healthy, happy, busy and safe!
Mittsy and Inky say "meow!"

I love your Hope page in your journal, the card is beautiful and the mask is fantastic. Happy WOYWW. Stay safe and take care. With love and God Bless, Caro x (#25)
that hope page is fabulous - yes, definitely the way to go! they are talking about making masks compulsory here too.. we'll see! I haven't been getting any exercise (unless you count weightlifting fromthe shopping bags!) take care and stay safe.. Helen ##2
I do hope Mitsy enjoyed her yoga for the day. Well done for making a mask. I had great intentions but then was overwhelmed with the contradictory advice and gave up. Much better to stay home and limit contact as best we can. Your card and quotes journal look perfect. Stay safe and keep crafting.

I laughed out loud at that picture of Mittsy Linda. It loks like she is all ready to join in with a yoga session. I have a few pages of my ABC tag journal to finish too. I got as far as W two years ago and then stopped. I think that I should get the last three pages completed before things go back to normal (whatever the new normal will be). Lovely card and journal page. Meow to the kitties, stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6
Hi Linda. Oh my - sounds like there is a lot going on over there with you - baking a lot isn't on the options list here as we are short on flour supplies. I like baking, but don't do as much of it as I used to - fortunately, for my waistline! An ABC journal - sounds interesting. Well done on deciding to crack on a little with a UFO. My hubby never ever called tem that - to him they were unfinished symphonies!! On the principle that if Schubert could... so could I! Good hey?
And with that thought in mind...
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi Linda, great job with the card & journal. Love the ABC idea. Hard to do much baking here, there was so much panic buying, a lot of basics like flour are just like gold dust. Mittsy looks like she's inventing her own positions!Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #11 X
I think Mitsy wants to join in with the yoga, she looks ready. I think everyone knows that the masks would help to stop the virus being past on to others but the government are reluctant to say this as masks are not readily available for public use. One doctor on the TV tonight said we should cover our faces with a scarf, if that's not telling you that masks would help I don't know what is. The one you've made looks really good. Loving your box and the card too. Take care and wishing you a happy creative week, Angela x17x
Happy belated WOYWW! Yes, our home is about the same as yours. I’ve got a full house of 6 adults and 2 children so it’s pretty lively which makes it tough sometimes. LOL. Take care. Dorlene #36
I like the idea of your quotes book - that is a nice exercise to have to do and especially your choice for "H".
I too have been in complete isolation for just 5 weeks today. Well I guess it is really tomorrow as I did my last journey five weeks ago today. Only been for a walk in the garden on a few occasions too so I must get our more and have more exercise. Too easy to do this baing, eating, sitting lark.
Love Mittsy joining in with the Yoga - is she waiting for teacher?
I too need to get sewing masks. I have some fabric somewhere, just need the motivation (ie a kick up the proverbial) and I know once I suss out what I am doing I will be fine. Send me some vibes please Linda.
Stay safe and well don't let it get to you
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
I think you’re right, whatever they do or don’t do, I see masks as being the next best accessory. Love the colour of yours! It will be interesting to finish the alpha journal, to see if and how your style has changed since the a to g years! You are good, I recently dug out a few album/journal type things I made and never kept up with. stuck ‘em in the recycling bin! Am impressed at your yoga too. After a long session of digging in the garden on Sunday, I really know that I should do more bendy exercise! Keep well Miss Lindart!
Hi Linda, I really like the idea of a quotes journal I may have to borrow that idea along my creative journey, really glad you came across it again. I think you may be right regarding the masks it's a scary thought though as our Keyworkers struggle to have enough equipment, maybe we all should learn to make them. Mittsy looks forward to your Wednesday Yoga lesson too judging by the photo hee hee... enjoy your creative time & stay safe Tracey 3 xx
Hi Linda - I've been making masks too. We might not have to wear them but I am sure as we come out of lockdown something will be needed so that we can try to carry on with life. Good to see you have kept busy with all your crafting activities. xx Jo #9
I love how Mitsy took over your yoga mat! She's a proper cat now - no longer a kitten, but cute just the same. Got the same white whiskers as Oreo. It's always good to resurrect an old project - I have several of those as well. Love your scrap box too! Good job on the mask. I'm a big advocate for masks, but our government still hasn't cottoned on. The masks won't protect you from other people but other people are protected from your coughs and sneezes and breaths - so if everybody wore them, we would all be protected! They need to be made compulsory, otherwise they don't work. Check out the website https://masks4all.org/ which explains how this could work. I firmly believe this could be our way out of the lockdown, until we find a vaccine. Thanks so much for your visit Linda - keep safe xx zsuzsa #20
Sorry to hear about your weight gain, Linda! We both lost another pound each this week. Not that I'm really trying to lose weight now - just maintain the healthy weight I've already achieved, but it made me feel good nonetheless. I hope Mittsy enjoyed her yoga session! Sorry to be so late visiting but I seem to have got behind with my WOYWW visits this week, being busy with lots of other stuff!
Happy belated WOYWW,
