WOYWW #533

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greeting to all, this rainy Ontario day! Finally, after a few weeks of little or no rain, we have a whole rainy day! I must confess, I have done a lot of nothing this week. I really need to plan to make a time for working in my craft room, or it just doesn't happen. I think about it, dream about it, watch You Tube videos about it, but have a hard time actually getting in there. It's kind of like "you can't have dessert until you've eaten all your dinner". Everything else comes first. I need to start having dessert first!

Here is my desk this morning, with the one thing I have done all week:

I am making a cover for my junk journal, following Marit's first challenge for the summer, that shows how far behind I am! I can't believe it's the 21st of August already and people are talking about Fall.

And here's Inky saying "What? Are you crazy? It's wet out there!" Mittsy doesn't care and went on to chase a squirrel up the fence! She never catches them, just chases them for fun.

Well, that's it for me. Still dull and raining outside, but it's nice. Hopefully you are having pleasant weather where you are, Inky, Mittsy and I wish you all a great week!

PS: Thank you for all the You Tube advice, I will get to it soon, hopefully!

One of my all time favourite card sentiments was "Life's uncertain, eat dessert first'!!! So there, you are most definitely allowed to do your crafting before anything else :-D. Hope you manage to catch up with the junk journal - I must admit, I'm useless at keeping to time schedules, hence why I never join in challenges.

Oh, no, naughty Mitsy! Is that really a black squirrel? I don't think I've ever seen one before! Lucky Mitsy doesn't catch them - that would be sad. I can see why you can't let go of that card on your desk - it looks very compelling - I could hardly drag my eyes away from it LOL - so full of colour! Happy #533 Linda! Those squirrels they just ask to be chased. There was one day in the garden recently where their were so many that Maisie and Stan didn't know which direction to go in. Needless to say they didn't catch any! Nice colours you've used for the cover. Have a lovely week and a very happy woyww, Angela x13x

I'm afraid crafting never gets to be first in my life - there's always something else that has to be done first, and if I don't tackle it, it just mounts up. Boring, but true!! That's probably why I spend so little time at my desk these days! Actually, with my new lifestyle diet, desserts don't really come into it at all haha!

Lol at Mittsy chasing squirrels. One of our previous kitties chased a squirrel into the kitchen once, and I was seriously worried about all my stuff as it careered around the room in complete terror! The kitty didn't catch it, of course, and it left as quickly as it had arrived!

Thank you for visiting, and I'm glad you are enjoying my kitchen antics! Do try the yummy sauce - it really is yummy! As for the veggies losing nutritional value when cut, most people in the plant-based world do meal prepping and it doesn't seem to be an issue. One person was questioned about it and they said the benefits far outweighed any small consideration in that direction. Eating low caloric density foods does mean you eat a lot of it, so you get through it fairly quickly and it's not as if it's sitting around very long. It's a valid question, though.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Linda. I'm with you - brought up on the "no dessert until you have finished your first course" principle... but sometimes, you just NEED dessert - no question! Well done on the start of your journal cover - it will happen, never fear - and you will be so thrilled when it is completed. What a considerate young cat - never catches the squirrels! Is that by design, or are they too fast for him?
Take care. God bless.

Hi Linda finally catching up, I’m like you dessert if eat all my tea and I generally don’t eat all my tea so no dessert just scraps for lunch next day 😆😉 yes must say today I’m doing one or two jobs then craft time. Except today the house was so messy I didn’t get in tocradt onoy to tidy things back away in there!
Love your desky share, gorgeous colours in that cover. I guess you’re not looking forward to Ontario cold but it will be lovely to see fall or autumnal leaves and colours, do you ever collage them I wonder?
Not a cat person but that being said we had one I really loved so guess I’m selective 😁😉 yours are pretty in their colours, if naughty, and cat like. I just am concerned about wild life especially here, lots of wild or domestic cats kill our smaller native animals.. I get upset when I find the remains which I did the other week from a neighbours cat two doors down, saw the culprit in action. One of the rainbow lorikeets. The birds band up against him and squawk like crazy to get a humans attention.. as he dues have a habit . I haven’t seen him since that incident so hopefully the owners are watching him now.

Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.
