I had fun with my stamp carving, but was not happy with the postcards, so I have come up with something I like better. The colours are Sepia and Ultramarine. I realized that sepia was the colour of old photos, not "brown". So I went to my Altered Pages cache and found some sepia images I really liked!
Not sure what I'm going to do with the old postcards yet. I'll save them, and someday they will be "Just the thing I needed!" for a future project!

Linda!
So nice to see someone from Kingston. I got your blog from the Home Retreat group which I am part of too. I just got done looking through your blog and love all your work! I love stamps as well, I have no where NEAR 1000 though. That would be wonderful.
I live about an hour and 20 from you up by Bon Echo park. You say that there is a stamp convention in Bancroft each year. I had never heard of that! We just went up there last Sat. It about 50 min from here. We go to Kingston all the time and I would love to hear more about the altered artists group you are part of. Sounds very cool! I also have one daughter who is looking at going to school in Kingston - she's not sure yet.
My email is cconnell@mazinaw.on.ca
Hope to hear from you!
Cheryl
I tried my hand at carving my own stamps. So far, I'm not very proficient at it. I'm going to keep trying, maybe it will get better. I've enjoyed reading your blog and will be back.
