Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! I missed last week's post, but I made it back today. Actually, I thought that's what happened, but I just discovered I missed two posts! My moodyness must be worse than I thought!

We were away visiting my new Granddaughter last week - so wonderful! Such a beautiful child (if I do say so myself!) She turned 2 months while we were there!

I won't bore you with all the Grandmother stuff, but I was so glad to finally meet her, and we will see her again this weekend on our way to Niagara Falls!

My desk had not been getting any love at all lately, but I did get into the mood after watching a tutorial by Eva at Bohemian Crafting. I always have some sort of journal when I go to Niagara Falls every year (except last year ), so I thought this would be a perfect little project to get my mojo moving again. So here was my desk yesterday (after finishing the journal):

But here it was a few days ago:

I didn't have much room to work, so good thing it is a small journal!

And here is the finished project:

The cover flips up
and opens...

this is a tiny 3 page booklet that I just slid onto the side

some postcards to tuck in

a fold out page with lots of spots for journaling front and back

I'm not even sure I have it all here to show, but next week I will try and make a little video of it all completed and filled in with our trip. I never see these journals actually used, I often wonder if they ever do actually get used. I have made two for friends, and they haven't used them yet. I try to use all of mine. Do you make journals like this and never actually use them?

Anyway, time to see the kitties, here they are sleeping during our hot afternoons.

Mittsy finally using her new bed! When I first saw her she was sleeping on her back with all her legs up in the air - but I couldn't sneak up on her quietly enough to get the photo! Maybe next time...(and I returned the scratcher that neither of them touched)

and Inky on her perch, I thought it was odd how she lay her head on the side like that...

I hope everyone is well, safe, and happy! Have a great week, and a lovely "meow" from Inky and Mittsy!

I almost didn't post today. It's a very dreary day, and I don't know where the week has gone. I think I've been in my craft room once. We did get our 2nd jabs, with little or no side effects, maybe a little tiredness and soreness. But on the 13th we are free and clear, and on the 14th we are going to see our Granddaughter! The cats are getting a cat-sitter to stay with them, I hope they like her! Here is my July 1st photo from my office, nice and green, but the spring flowers on the bushes are gone :(

And here is my sad little desk:

Our new Spirea bush is blooming!

And our hibiscus bloomed for the first time ever outdoors! And there's another bud on the way.

I bought the cats a new scratcher because their old one was totally demolished. They haven't used it yet, but hopefully soon. Mittsy has a new bed too, but hasn't used it yet either. Luckily I can return these within 30 days if they are not used.

And that's it for me today. I leave you with a video of Inky trying to catch her tail...we have the perfect bedposts for cat sitting, sometimes we have one cat on each post!

Inky, Mittsy and I hope you all have a safe and happy week,

Greetings to everyone out there! I hope you are all comfortable in whatever weather you are having!

We got our 2nd jabs yesterday, a lucky break for us and now we don't have to wait until July 13th! Just that much closer to meeting our Grandbaby in person!

Here is my desk today:

And my partially finished project. These little things to clip onto journal pages, but I just need the right paper clips. This was fun to do, and I will have a bunch to choose from when I need some decorating done. I like the little paper pad that I can pop into a journal, even take out and journal on a trip, then pop back in

And a Dollar Tree buy for $1.25, I love these butterflies, they are on sturdy cardstock, and so work well on my little clips.

Last week I promised you pics of Inky, since she hasn't been in the last few posts. Here she is on the porch, with Mittsy on the grass. They spend their days either on the porch, or making sure their territory is safe from intruders! They pop back inside every few hours to say hello, have a nibble and a pee, and then they are out again!

Inky in her favourite indoor sleeping spot, on a shelf I made for her in our bedroom window. I'm thinking she might need a bigger bed...

And here she is on my lap on the porch. She often sits on my lap when I'm sitting outside with my coffee or wine.

We all say "Meow" and "Have a great week" !

Hello to all my cyber-friends! I'm not sure I could have survived the last year and a few months as well without you! My count is 462 days since I left work due to the pandemic, and I will be counting until I am fully vaccinated, which will be on July 13th! Then I am (sort of) free again!

You are here to see my desk, well here it is. I am in mid-production of my latest project, which hopefully I can show you next week. You saw the first step last week on my desk.

We had Father's Day last Sunday, which I think most of you did as well. Here is my card to my hubby

And from the kitties

(Tim Holtz cats)

We had a Father's Day feast of Take-Out Chinese food - our favourite! We always order way more than we need so it will last a few days!

Now for that project, if you watch Bohemian Crafting videos you will know what this is, if not...

That's all you get for now!

Garden: You have been so kind to me about my garden, thank you. I do not consider myself a "gardener" but over the years things have started to look good! Hubby got a birdbath fountain for the birdbath for Father's Day, it's so mesmerizing to watch! It works through solar power, so on sunny days we get this, and on cloudy days we get spurts...

These Chinese Bellflowers were given by a neighbor last year - so pretty! Purple and white ones

and my rosebuds...are now roses! We don't get too many, so this is the best way to enjoy them

Here are Mittsy and her friend Loki hanging around the watercooler...

And Mittsy approving our new addition, a Spirea bush with 3 different coloured flowers when it blooms!

My DD finally gave me her permission to post a picture of my new granddaughter, Jasper Jane! Here she is at just over 1 month old...smiling at her Mom for the first time (usually she only smiles for her Dad!)

I will leave you with Mittsy at her finest, lounging in bed with hubby and me as we watch Dr. Who...

I will try and get some pics of Inky next week, she's a bit less active and less flamboyant!

The kitties say "meow!" and I say "Have a wonderful week!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited, I am going to lunch at a restaurant patio with my Mom today - the first time in at least a year! Hopefully we will get a table, since patios just opened last Friday and everyone wants to go! We have been very lucky lately, only 4 covid cases in our area, so I feel pretty safe, even with only 1 jab.

Well, you are here to see my desk, here it is!

I fixed my mistake from last week (the photo last week was just a computer edit) to spell "pathway" correctly", and made a new page for "J" - Joy!

The stamp is Viva Las Vegas, and the stencil is homemade. Next comes "K", hopefully I will get to it next week.

That's it for me today, I've been going to Physio for my shoulder and my hip, doing the exercises, trying to walk, and generally lazing around watching the birds enjoy the new birdbath.

Father's Day is coming up on Sunday so I will need to make a card for hubby, he is a great father!

My Perennial Garden, small but pretty!

Mittsy and her new friend Loki, just chillin' by the Weeping Willow...
And that's it for today! Inky and Mittsy say "Meow" and I say have a great week!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying beautiful June days as we are! In spite of continuing computer problems, I am finally able to get this blog done. I have been in my craft room this week, mostly working on a journal and a Quote Book I started several years ago. It's an ABC Quote Book, and I am on "J" right now, just having finished "I" the other day.

So here is my desk this morning:

You can see my Quote Book sticking out from under the box!

 Here is the "I" page:

It's a long book made from handmade paper. When I went to edit it, I noticed, to my shock, that I had left the "h" out of Pathway! I added it in in editing, but I must have looked at that page a hundred times and not noticed it until I took a picture of it! So I will fix it today.

The next two pages are in a little square journal with lined pages that I started years ago as well. The images in this first one are from a Jane Davenport paper pad.

This one already had the blue left hand corner painted when I got to it, I must have been using up extra paint. I just added collage pieces from my stash.

And here is my favourite part of my garden that I call my "grotto" . Can you find Mittsy? She loves it in there!

Anyway, that's it for me, Inky and Mittsy say "meow", and I say have a lovely week!
