It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.
Hello from a snowy wintery day! Here is my desk this morning:
I made a little addition to one of the pieces from last week, adding "Today will be a Peaceful Day". I also made a 12x12 woven piece with the same message. This is the message of the Bhuddist monks who walked from Texas to Washington DC. Did you guys get to see that? It was pretty incredible.
And I did work on my self-care journal a bit this week. Not sure it's completly finished...this page was to remind myself of my accomplishments.
Well that's it for me today. Mittsy went to the vet for her yearly check-up, and is now 16.44 Lbs! She is so heavy! But not fat, all muscle! (well, maybe a little fat!)
She used to be so little! And so cute! Now she is a "bruiser"! She is also now considered a "senior". Too bad that doesn't mean she gets senior discounts from the vet!
Have a wonderful week!

Oh what a pickle about the glue top!!! I'm usually awake in the early hours too but tend not to get up and craft then - LOL. Love what you added to the weaving no idea about the monks, defo an" over the pond" thing. Love your self care accomplishments list. I'd have to cross off the bottom three - LOL. Misty was definitely cute as a kitten but aren't they all. Hugs Bj#8
wow , she is a big cat! You have a long list of accomplishments, go you! great journal page. Helen #1
I tend to do things like that when I start crafting when I should be sleeping, bad habbit when it's nearly midnight. Love the woven strips it's a great way to use up left over patterned card. Your kitty is heavier than my girl dog, though Daisy is small for a Schnauzer. Certainly no discount from any vet Lol! Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x9x
Thinking about your accomplishments is an awesome thing to do, we’re so bad at appreciating what we do so well! I did read about those monks, well done them for protesting that way. Poor old puss, we all get a bit broader in the beam as we get older!

Oh Mittsy as a kitten is adorable. I do wish I had know Poppy from an early age. Love that saying. I hope it remains true, this day and every day. And yeah - glue! I keep a few pins I know fit into those needle tips right in the holding jars I use to store them tip down on my desk. Lifesaver! Love both weavings - what a fun technique. Lots for you to be proud of just in one post ;) Happy post-WOYWW catch up!

I am always leaving the top off my glue, the paintbrushes uncleaned and spitting things on top of glitter glue. Messy, forgetful and at times plain lazy. To be fair, I do usually intend to be right back but as always life happens.
Yes the monks were amazing. Have a good week, Cindyxx #11
I loved seeing the photo of Mittsy as a kitten! Your woven page is amazing.
I didn’t see a report of the Buddhist monks.
Have a good week

Hope the glue isn't a right off Linda. Love the finished woven pieces. Mittsy has certainly changed! Meow to her and Inky. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
I do like your paper ribbon weaving. Angela#12
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that is up to late hours of the night creating. I love that you did a piece to commemorate Peace Day, as we most certainly need it. Mittsy is gorgeous!
Loving the woven pieces! I may have to try this!
Happy March! Susan #7
