It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.
First, I apologise for not getting to my comments this week. Thank you to all who commented and wished me well, it always helps! I think I was in a bit of a fog last week, still dealing with my cold, coughing and shingles, but I think we are on the road to recovery! Here is my desk this morning:
My journal is awaiting the next page to be started. I did manage to do a Fodder School 2 project, and I really liked it! Something I remember doing in grade school, but now I'm using my own papers!
I thought I would add a focal point to this one:
And I had cut off all the fringes. Bit then I thought I liked the fringes and made another one with a bigger focal point...
Which one do you like best? Or is it better with no focal point? I have some more ideas with this that I want to try. A great way to get rid of scraps!
My Mom turned 91 last week, here is her card:
I am so grateful to even be able to make him a card after his ICU scare two weeks ago.❤️
That's it for me this week, I will be much better at commenting this week, I promise!

I like both versions - but with the fringes best I think. and yes, with a focal point for sure. Glad you were able to celebrate Valentine's Day; after his scare - must have been very worrying for you.the card for hubby and your mum are both fabulous. Happy WOYWW Helen #1
Hi I've had that awful cold and it's taken ages for me to get back to anything like normal, hope you're on the way to recovery. I think I quite like the fringes they just seem to add that extra bit of detail to the design. I love any techniques that use up scraps. Love the cards too. Wishing you a very happy woyww. I like the fringed version too, can’t explain why, it just looks better to my eye! Love the Valentine card too, extra special after the past couple of weeks. Continue to take it slowly, we want you to get properly better.
Hugs LLJ 2 xx
I like the fringe and the bigger focal point :D I will get back to the still-undone Fodder School classes myself, but probably not for a while. 100 days approaching fast, which goes right into ICAD, so who knows when? Glad V-day went well and the scare was just that. My mom is 90 - how lucky we are to still have them this far into our own lives. Happy day after WOYWW!

Yes I like the fringe best unless you are going to put it behind an aperture. Great Valentine’s Day card. Hugs Angela #12
Sorry to hear of your ailments hope yo feel better soon. Super weaving project love how you have stitched it. I like both. Love your hands too and your Valentine. So must make me some birds. Hugs Bj#3
Great cards for your Mum and Hubby Linda. I like both versions of the paper weaving but prefer the fringes. Glad you are on the mend. Meow to the kitties. Stay safe and happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
