WOYWW #603

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

It's the day before Christmas Eve! Everyone ready? We will do our Christmas Eve tradition with our DD and SIL over Face Time. Should be interesting!

Here is my desk, last minute gift, using up some of my stamping blocks! This one is for my Mom.

This one is for my brother's fiancée, again using up those blocks!

Here are some photos of my "Entertainment" Tree. Our collection started when our DD went to University, she started bringing back film or TV related ornaments (she was taking film studies in uni). We each got one every year up until last year I think, so the tree is pretty full. Here are some of them:

Many of them move, or make sounds, or talk!

And here are Inky and Mittsy being cute...

I came across this big bump when I went into my room yesterday...It could have been either cat...

It was Mittsy! She was fast asleep before I took this, and promptly went back to sleep afterwards.

(Inky was asleep under the tree...)

I heard there is another form of the virus going around in GB, please stay safe! I can't wait until we can hang our coats up again...

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

My boys were very impressed with those ornaments!! It makes a fun and very different display that’s for sure. The cat bump in the bed made me hoot! I think those street scenes are fantastic too, clever you! Yep, the virus has mutated but I think it’s in lots o places not just the UK. We are hunkering down for Christmas, that’s for sure. Hope you have a good festive season too,

Hi Linda. What lovely decorations - because it makes your tree so very personal. John and I used to buy a small new ornament every year from somewhere special we went to. Now my tree is hung with those bits plus things the girls and the grandies have either given us or made for us. I love it.
Yes, the virus has indeed mutated - but then, all viruses do that, so it wasn't a surprise. What is distressing is the speed with which it is transmitted. Large swathes of South East England are in Tier 4 - which means non-essential shops are shut, no socializing, you can only meet with one person outside and no-one other than your family "bubble" indoors. Here in Wales we are back in Lockdown - shouldn't drive more than 5 miles, no mixing, shops shut, only one day of relaxation for Christmas. That won't bother me much as I am not going anywhere in a hurry. I shall be on my own on Christmas Day, but that's ok. Over the years I have spent much time on my own, especially as John grew more and more unwell and spent so much time in hospital. But, I shall "meet up" with the girls and their families via WhatSapp on Christmas Day with a three way video call. That will be fun, if messy!
Have a very special Christmas.
Take care. God bless.

What a great tree that is, it sure is a talking point I can see why you call it the entertainment tree, fab!! Loving the makes using those blocks, nice little gifts, I don't have many things festive around me this year but my little Tree to put outdoors does the job for us three. Yes it will be nice to hang up our coats to a better world right now, here's to 2021 and much hope.
Stay safe & have a great Christmas Tracey #6 xx

Those tree decorations are so much fun! What a lovely tradition! Your desk description "various things piling up" made me chuckle - yep, that could me my motto too! Those 3D displays look awesome - I expect they were given instead of cards? What a great idea! Mitsy looks cute under the throw. I always tell my husband to check before he sits down anywhere! Hope you have a lovely Christmas, Linda! xx zsuzsa #21

Loving the ornaments they look brilliant and that's a great way to use up the stamp blocks too. The mutated virus is in the UK but is probably in other countries too it's just that we have scientists working on this all the time and they are quick to identify and report their findings whereas I suspect some countries don't admit it even if they do identify it. If countries had been more honest about it in the first place we might not have been in such a mess now. I hope you have the best Christmas possible. Hugs, Angela x10x

OMG! Ralphie! I covet that, big time. One of my favourite movies, but, as ever, the book was as good, if not better - Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories and Other Disasters and some form In God We Trust, all Others Pay Cash. Both classic Jean Shepherd.

Your stamping block scenes are fabulous. LOVE THEM. I still have a lot of wood mounted stamps and always think I should unmount them, then I never do.

Happy VERY late WOYWW - Christmas got in the way!
