WOYWW #593

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hi everyone! Boy, we are getting close to 600 posts! Last weekend was Canadian Thanksgiving, and on the day (we celebrate on Sunday) the weather was incredible - warm, sunny, a gorgeous fall day! The downside was we weren't allowed to have guests, it was just the two of us and my Mom. But that was OK, we still had a good time, and Face Timed with our DD and her new family. "Next Year!" seems to be the battle cry these days!

Here is my desk today:

I have been busy though...

Background: Hero Arts; Leaf Stamp:  unknown

and more Christmas Cards

Stamp: Magenta; Background music: Bohemian Crafting; Sentiment: unknown

Background: Hero Arts, Stencil: Tim Holtz; Snowflake die: unknown

I used my new brushes for the stencil - I was even able to get just the little red berries with the smallest brush!

Here are some Thanksgiving photos:

                Table for 3...

Deviled eggs - usually DD makes them, but hubby made them this year...

Our spatchcocked turkey - only takes 1 1/2 hours to cook a 10 lb turkey!

Pumpkin soup (real pumpkin, not from a can!)

Turkey Soup the next day!

And my Showstopper - Apple Cinnamon Crumb Cake and Maple Leaf Sugar Cookies

missing family...

And last but not least, Inky and Mittsy were playing through the window yesterday...

Mittsy was outside and Inky was inside, and they were batting at each other through the glass! And then I got this gorgeous photo of Mittsy!

Well, we all say "Have a great week! Meow meow!"

Hi, Linda!

So glad you celebrated and shared your Thanksgiving! It has been so easy to let holidays and birthdays just “slide by” for me and become just another ordinary day!

Love your kitty pictures. Did you see on the news? In Florida, a huge alligator came up to someone’s front glass door and put his belly on the glass! Their cat, inside, wasn’t phased! Just sat there staring at the gator! The homeowner snapped a picture!

Stay safe! Thank you again for the Thanksgiving pictures.

Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn

Yummy! Now I cannot wait until the American Thanksgiving day. All the goodies. We’ll have a small group too. My son and daughter live with us so we’ll have four. Maybe the leftovers will last longer! LOL. Thanks for sharing all your projects and photos. Dorlene #30

How lovely your thanksgiving table looked Linda, and the food...fab, of course the dessert grabbed my eye, what a great idea and a lovely combination! All that and you’re busy at your desk too, I do admire you for getting some Christmas cards done...in a turn of coincidence, I coloured a couple of angels yesterday and reached for a big old music stamp to make a background for them. Great minds?!!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, Linda - what a pretty table. So sad not to be able to celebrate with family, though, but I'm glad your mum was able to be with you. Your real pumpkin soup looks fabulous, and I think I'm in love with the maple leaf biscuits on the apple cake!! We are eating apples pretty much constantly at the moment and with cinnamon it's a winning combo isn't it. Sweet pics of the two kitties! Give them a stroke from me! All your cards are gorgeous, and again, I have to choose the maple leaf as my favourite one.

Happy belated WOYWW,
