WOYWW #575

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! Hope everything is going well in your part of the world! Things are starting to ease up here as we are at zero covid-19 cases! We will see what happens...

Here is my desk this morning. One view is straight on, the other is from the end on my table! Big messy difference!

I have been working on my new journal all week, and today I worked on this insert for my last page (although the journal isn't finished yet).

This is the front with a little pocket,
then it flips up like this with space for journaling and 2 pockets

Here is one of the inserts

I got this idea from Bohemian Crafting.

Garden:

things are starting to bloom, like my favourite bush in my "grotto". We have a dead tree to get rid of right in the middle of it though!

Today I have to take Inky to the vet for her annual checkup and shots. They won't let me in, I have to sit in the car. It will be her first time at the vets without her mom. I'm sure I will be more traumatized than she will!

We still have to watch out for foxes, the cats had an encounter this week with one of the kits. It's funny how I am only alerted by the fox and not and growling or hissing on the part of the cats! As soon as I get them inside Mittsy goes crazy wanting to get back outside to see the fox!

Mittsy and Inky say "Meow" and I say have a great week! Stay safe!

Wow, your journal is clever, I wouldn't know where to start making something as complex as that with all the layers. It's really lovely and you could hide all sorts of secrets in the different compartments. You never know, Inky might behave better for the vets without you there, my cats always did...so and so's....
We're still in lockdown in Wales but G and I are in no rush to rejoin the madness anyway, we're quite happy to mosey around our own space.

Love what you have done with your journal. I always like a journal done in shades of brown/sepia. Also like the with pockets end moving bits etc. So yours ticks all my boxes.
Oh dear, foxes and kitties - scary!
We have been zero for the past two nights for new cases but we did this a few days ago and then shot up again so at the moment I am staying in. Will be out in July but only to medical appointments - and not looking forward to them either. Got housbounditis!

I so like your journals Linda, they are always so interesting with plenty of flaps and pockets to explore. Hope everything goes well at the vets. Meow to Inky and Mittsy, stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #17

Wow, what a fab job on the journal, its like engineering with all the folds and pockets and flaps. Looks great, love the cigar ephemera; you certainly know how to put stuff together. Pretty sure you’re right about Mittsy’s vet visit, you’ll jhvae the trauma AND she’ll be cross with you for a while! Still, I hope it all goes well. The sight of the long shot of your desk is very reassuring Miss Lindart, I would have been a bit jealous and grumpy about how you manage to keep it all together (as illustrated in the head on shot) when you’re so busy making such lovely things!

Hi Linda. A lovely little journal - well done. It looks good. Great desk shots - so re-assuring! Glad summer is a-coming in for you, with things beginning to bloom. You will be able to just cut out the dead wood in the middle of that flowewring shrub and then just allow the shrub to grow over the stump..
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I love your journal, Linda. I have just started something similar and am following a tutorial on line to learn how to make all the flaps and pockets. I'm loving it.
I bet the cats are fascinated by the foxes. Our garden has been full of baby birds this week so we have had to keep ours in. She doesn't chase them, just watches and it sends the mum birds scatty. I think they have all flown now thankfully.
Have a good week

Oh my the journal looks brilliant. I imagine the cats find the foxes interesting though they don't seem to interact. We have foxes and cats that come in the garden but the cats make the most noise usually falling out with each other rather than the foxes. Wishing you a lovely week and a happy and creative woyww, Angela x19x

Your desk looks like mine. LOL. From one point it looks ok but then span out and it’s full of goodies. I guess that’s how I work because no matter how many times I try to be more clean and organized...it doesn’t stay that way. Great journal page with the flip up. Awesome! I hope all is well with Inky and you have a wonderful week.

I love your journal, Linda, and especially the subtle colour scheme you have chosen. It's really gorgeous, and interactive too which is always fun. I'm glad the cats didn't get too involved with the foxes - we are always worried about that and have never let them out overnight just in case... I hope Inky was OK at the vet's, especially without her Mum to hold her paw! Our kitty MOTs always take place in the autumn so hopefully things will be back to normal by then.

Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to be so long visiting - desperately trying to get this in before the launch of WOYWW 576 in 45 minutes' time lol! I'm all behind this week as I simply have to take advantage of the sunshine and sit out when it makes an appearance, and then things get neglected. We've had some lovely sunny days just recently. Thank you for your kind words about my knitting, and also my cooking! I am getting on well with my knitting UFOs and have more to report tomorrow. I do hope your hubby's knee operation went ahead OK and was successful. I have absolutely no idea when my operation will take place, but I very much doubt it will be this year now.

Happy extremely belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #14 xx from Lily and Ruby too!
