Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html and all will be revealed!
Hello everyone! I hope you are all well, we are well here, just starting to enjoy the Spring weather, although it is still quite cold, and warm days are few and far between. But the leaves on the trees and bushes are just starting to pop out!
On to my messy desk, I finished my junk journal, and am now making a new one, copying the style of my old one. I'm making the cover, then will add my signature of coffee dyed papers.
Here is the last page of my old junk journal, including the big tag inside:
Look who we found in our backyard on Sunday morning:
Don't worry, she looks dead, but is just sleeping in the sun on a soft leaf mattress! Hubby and the baby went off jumping the fences in the back, Dad was teaching the little one how to climb (he can easily just jump the fence), and the kit was trying hard, but just couldn't get it. I'm sure it wont take long. This is why Mittsy and Inky stay close to home, and are always on the lookout when they are out. Also I usually go out and sit or garden while they are out, and then they come in with me.
So we leave with Mittsy in her usual spot in the kitchen, watching me while I make dinner!
I hope you have a wonderful crafty week, Inky, Mittsy and I say "meow!" and stay safe!

I don't remember where the dog with wings is from
and I leave with the Global Pandemic numbers from April 1- May 1, pretty horrifying.

The numbers finishing your journal are certainly food for thought....
The fox photo is lovely, we have a male fox who visits in the night, marks everywhere he can, checks the chickens and then leaves! One day I am sure he will recognise the smell of those darn chickens and they will wake the neighbourhood!!
Stay safe and well

Hi Linda. Oh well done - finishing the junk journal. Please do enlighten me... why is it called a ju8nk journal? What goes into it to categorize it that way> As you can guess - I don't journal... And do tell - does coffee dyed paper smell of coffee?? I have dyed paper with tea - but as I don't ever drink coffee I hardly ever have it in the house to use.
The fox is lovely - how beautiful to have them in the garden - I know they can kill etc., but they are still part of creation, so can be called beautiful, I'm sure. But yes, very wise to keep the cats near home unless you are out with them.
Spring has well and truly sprung here - flowers, leaves, lots of lawn mowing going on, everything growing very fast. I have spent time out in the garden today, and it is SO warm - but the nights can still be somewhat cold!
You are right - the numbers dying from this virus are large - and especially hard for those whose families have been affected. But I reckon we need to keep everything in perspective. The 1918/19 flu epidemic saw 79,000,000 people die over that year - more than all those who died in WW1, when 1,000,000 died on a single day. Makes me feel we are fortunate in the way we are tackling the virus and staying at home...
Take care of yourself. Stay safe. God bless.

It is certainly scary how the numbers of those affected by Covid 19 have jumped in just a calendar month Linda. Look forward to seeing your new journal when it is ready for use. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
I love that pic of the fox sleeping peacefully - they must be confident in their environment if she feels safe enough to do that! I do like your labelled photo at the beginning, it points to things that might have been overlooked otherwise. You've made some lovely things this week, I'm enjoying not feeling guilty at spending so much time crafting!

That Mitsy is a great cooking companion indeed! Wow, fox sightings. Cool and scary at the same time. Your art is beautiful. I love the hat on the dog. It's so cute. Stay well.

Congrats on finishing that fab junk journal. I don't think I will ever finish any of mine, far too many on the go but i'm glad to see you have started another. The numbers are really shocking, I try not to look or read anymore, there's only so much sadness my little heart can take.
Cute pic of the fox, I was a little worried before I read, nice to see young and old together teaching them the ways of survival.
Mittsy looks so lovingly at you, hoping to catch a treat whilst your cooking maybe hee hee.. Happy WoywW & stay very very safe Hugs Tracey #6
Your junk journal is great - the numbers are so awful though ..all those people.
How wonderful to be able to watch the fox at the bottom of your garden - looks adorable. Take care xxSoojay#22
the junk journal looks amazing! I recognise that image of the dog but no idea why or where I'd have seen it, unless someone has used it and that's where I saw it.... Have a good week and stay safe.. Helen #1

Busy desk and I lpove the look of your junk journal - that dog looks familiar but not sure where from! How cheeky is that fox having a nice lie down in the sun! Happy WOYWW, Stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18
Your journal tags are great, Linda. Worth chronicling these unique times, in a beautiful and creative way. That little baby asleep in the leaves... And darling little Mittsy doing what we call a "gloop" lol! I showed that one to my hubby - he loves gloopy kitties and Lily is certainly a champion glooper! I like your busy annotated desk this week. Thank you for visiting, and for your very kind words! I'm so glad you like my latest projects. The recipient of the birthday card was delighted, I'm pleased to say! I went out and picked a few herbs to go in the salad tonight, to accompany our wraps, and I could taste just how fresh they were. So nice to be able to start using them now. Thanks for the recommendation for the pea sprouts. The peas and a couple of other packs of sprouting seeds arrived today so I can get started now. The whole-food plant-based way of life is excellent for weight loss. I eat as much as I want, and maintain a steady healthy weight at around 133 lb, and the food is also absolutely delicious. It's also really good, knowing exactly what's going into it as I buy nearly 100% raw ingredients. I do adapt recipes according to what I've got in. Ruby did look really cute all wrapped up like that, didn't she, and she didn't mind being carried around and held while I grabbed the iPad to take a photo! Hugs to Inky and gloopy Mittsy too!
Happy WOYWW,

How wonderful to see the foxes. I once woke in winter (snow) when the security light came on at the back. Got up to investigate and there were two foxes, one off across the garden but the other stood directly below the window with its head turned towards me. It was beautiful against the white snow. Never seen them since but no doubt they do call.
I wonder if they will venture more now that there is less movement on the roads with vehicles?
Love your desk. Love the junk journal and especially the little dog with the top hat and wings. Reminds me of my little dog that sadly left this earth a long time ago and took a bit chunk of my heart with him.
Stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
I so love your journals they are brilliant. Great photo of the fox too, lazy thing. They are around all the time though we don't always see them but we can often hear them where we live. Kittie looks comfy too. Wishing you a rather late but happy woyww and a lovely crafty week, Angela x21x
What a treat to see the fox having a little nap in the sun. My kitty totally supports this activity. Those numbers are sobering ... hopefully with the lockdowns things will slowly improve. Stay safe and keep creating wonderful art.
