WOYWW #547

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I'm back! I don't know if you missed me, but I did miss you! I went into a bit of depression where I couldn't do much except go to work and sit in bed watching TV. Very unmotivated, couldn't even go into my nice neat craft room :-( Last week I bought a bread machine and started making homemade bread. The first few trials were horrible but then I found the "perfect" recipe and it's been uphill from there. Then I got another bread machine, the horizontal kind, and I like that one even better. I read today on Twitter that if you start making homemade bread, it means you are depressed. I must have been, because I feel better now!

my first loaf from my "horizontal" machine- cuts more like a regular loaf

Here is my desk:

And my Christmas stamps, ready to go!

And my first two, very simple cards, using the only Christmas paper I have! I will probably make a few more of these.
The tree that looks hand-carved was bought in London, England, by my Dad, who passed in 2001, and is one of my favourite Christmas stamps.

Thanks for looking, that's it for me today, I'm so glad I was able to do this post! Inky and Mittsy are fine, chasing each other all over the house, sounding like a herd of elephants, but I love it! Have a great week,

I missed you but thought you were away - sorry you've had the blues, it hits all of us occasionally. And it's good just to have time out, I think us girls are very bad at doing that. Your cards are really lovely, I love the colours, patterns, script - everything!!

Lovely to see you again, Linda! I do love a freshly baked loaf! My problem is that I love bread too much, so a bread machine wouldn't be a good idea for me! I just couldn't resist the smell of freshly baked bread hmmm. I hope Inky and Mitsy are doing well and you'll be back in your craft room soon full of ideas and inspiration! zsuzsa #20

Just thought you were busy but pleased you're back. I had to smile about the reason for making bread, not sure my friend would agree as she got one to try and stop her sons eating so much bread but now they eat even more because they love the homemade stuff even more though they have started making their own too so guess that can't be bad. Love your cards and pleased to hear the kitties are well. Have a lovely creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x15x

Happy Wednesday!
No kitties this week? I’m sure they want to help (and offer suggestions) with the Christmas cards!

Like the plaid your are using. I’ve gotten hooked on it too. Have used it on several cards.

Happy Wednesday!

Hi Linda. Sorry you haven't felt up to much - trust things are going better for you now. Whoever said that about bread making??? What a silly idea - I confess to making my own bread the whole time - just love the smell when it is rising and being cooked in the breadmaker - yum!! Useful when selling the house to have a loaf cooking when viewers come round apparently!
I like your Christmas cards - good for you, using a real favourite again and again.
Take care. God bless.

I did miss you, but thought it was just a busy time - sorry you've been suffering like that. the bread looks yummy. I've not heard that about making bread, but the smell of it if nothing else would lift your spirits! take care of yourself. Helen #2

I missed you Linda I was wondering if work had taken over, I know how it can get sometimes it's not possible to fit everything in some weeks.
I bet the house smells wonderful with all that homemade bread, my Hubby used to make it years ago when the children were young but as they grew one loaf was just not enough and it took far to long to wait for another.. There would be fights over the warm bread haa haa!!
Glad you've got that smile back on your face and have started on your wonderful Christmas cards, have fun with your collection. A great way to document them. I must do this one day.. The Tree stamp your Father brought must hold a special place in your heart. Sending WoywW Hugs Tracey #4

So glad to see you back Linda and sorry to hear you have been feeling so low. The Christmas cards look good, the hand carved stamp is lovely. The bread has me drooling, it looks very impressive and tasty. Meow to Inky and Mittsy and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #8

Hi Linda, glad you are feeling better. I keep thinking about getting a bread maker, I do love homemade bread, but our kitchen is so tiny, storage is the problem. I think I really need to have a sort out in my cupboards! Great job with the Christmas Cards. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #18 X

Aw Linda, I thought you were probably flitting about the warmer climes on a holiday. Sorry you’ve been low, it’s a bugger and I’m glad to hear that you’ve been able to surface and get off the eat sleep work repeat thing. When you work its hard onto fall into that routine because its tiring to work and you do have to beast yourself into doing anything else, specially in the winter. Let’s hope the madness of December keeps you away from the cycle. Of course that Tree is one of your favourite stamps, how sweet that your Dad bought you something so useable - a fab and useful gift, love that. I had some tea towels printed with my mum’s handwritten recipes on for my sisters and I and it is lovely to have something that I use that reminds me of her, so I do understand how the stamp means to you - and it makes a lovely card!! Also pretty impressed at the organiser in you - and that it’s Book ONE of christmas stamps, makes me very happy!!
