WOYWW #538

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed

Hello to all! Hope you are having lovely Fall weather (or Spring, down under!). We are having wonderful warm days and cool nights. The leaves are just starting to turn, summer is leaving us behind until next year.

I had a strange week, starting with breaking a tooth, that turned into a rather large abscess, now on penicillin, but was ordered not to work for two days to allow the penicillin to get to work. Back to work, abscess is much better, back to normal until I have to have the tooth pulled in October. It was a choice between root canal and pulling, and pulling will be far less painful than the root canal I had last year.

I am very proud that my workspace is still neat and tidy, cleaning as I go:

I finally was able to get to my new purchases from Amazon that were ordered in July, and only just opened yesterday. I also went on a trip to my local stamp store (which is close to my dentist!) and got a few things...

The Big Shot accessories were from Amazon, the rest from the stamp store. I didn't know I needed the Big Shot accessories until I tried die cutting the bugs and the wildflower TH dies...apparently I needed a magnetic base, and this brush thingy to push out all the tiny bits.So I cut out all my bugs...

And then UTEE'ed them so they are nice and solid and shiny, ready to use!

And I can't believe I can still see my guillotine! I've even used it a few times!

So that's it for me, here is Mittsy saying "meow" from the highest spot she can sit in the house - on top of the headboard bedpost!

Have a great week, from me and the kitties,

I think going to the dentist definitely calls for treats from the craft store! Have a good week Helen #1

Of course you needed a treat when visiting the dentist, good for you. I 've got to the age now where I have the tooth out rather than root canal filling. Have a good week Ani #5

Your desk is a great example to me. I just have to get mine tidy first, so I can try to keep it tidy. *cough*. I dont have the magnetic bit, but I do use one of those brush things on the complicated dies. Do you think I’m missing out a magnetic plate? Would love your opinion.

Hi Linda, great job on the bugs. I do find the magnetic plate helps with some intricate dies. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

Hi Linda, yes teeth can be painful to the mouth and to pocket, sorry re abscess I’ve had them and they’re no fun.
Mitsy is so funny up there, and love your new goodies, I’ve seen that magnetic plate in use and thought it would be good, but not bought. I really love your bugs, well done.
Just as well there are no stamp shops near me..
Happy very belated WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #14

Oooh Linda, I love those dies! And what a smashing idea to UTEE them! They are brilliant. Nice to get new stash, too - I've got a lot this week too. I'm very sorry to hear about your tooth problem - very unpleasant, and I hope they can do the extraction for you soon. A few months ago I had problems with one of my wisdom teeth and was given the choice of root canal or extraction (with extraction being recommended) and I did choose that, and I'm very glad it's all gone now.

Thank you for your visit and I apologise for the delay in replying - I seem to have been pretty busy lately and have got behind. Yes, we had a great meet-up. I don't get to meet WOYWW-ers very often because I live right at the bottom of the country and don't travel! You aren't the only one to find rotting veggies... I'm getting better these days but when I first started with the whole-foods plant-based eating I prepped too much and kept it in the fridge rather than freezing, and had to throw quite a bit away. I hate wasting food... It still happens occasionally that things get to the back of the fridge and forgotten! Thank you for your commiserations regarding the Klingons - I'm really fed up with them and all the stress they've added to my life recently, and there's no guarantee I'll be given the disability benefit at the end of it all.

Adorable photo of Mittsy!!

Happy very belated WOYWW,
