WOYWW #523

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings! I hope everyone is finally enjoying some Spring (or Fall!) weather! We still have not put the AC on, last year it had already been on for a few weeks by now! Everything is about a month late here.

Anyway, here is why you are here, my desk, actually taken last night just before I closed up for the night:

I am just starting a new project, a gift for a friend

My recent junk journal pages, one page is missing, I can't find it in my i-cloud photos, but it's on my phone...frustrating! We went to see a show called Boom X, all about the history and music of the X-generation (1965-1979), as seen from the playwright/actor. It was awesome! The theatre is right on the St. Lawrence River, and the water is very high...

the page before this one is missing somehow, here are photos of the water level, you an see the bench in the middle of the water! It is really sitting on a dock...

the story and songs are on the sheet inside the pocket

I went on a couple of shopping sprees...

So many new things to play with, I certainly seem to be adding more to this room than I am getting rid of!

Here is something I did using the fold-over packaging of the wooden circles, after decorating one of the circles. I will probably glue it to the side edge of one of my junk journal pages.

AND I learned something new (you all probably have done this before, but I have never done it!)

I went looking for a tutorial, found lots, and settled on this one, the woman said she had tried them all and liked this one best, so that's the one I went for! Worked like a charm!

Used my first coffee died page in my junk journal:

you can also see I am experimenting where to put that edge piece I made...

Well that's it, sorry for the long post! When I'm creative I seem be to overly creative, but it's better than when I'm not in the mood! So many projects, so little time! Just watched a video on Art Tiles...oh no...

No kitty pics today, but here are Mr and Mrs Mallard, on their daily visit to the feeder!
I think they are both bigger than Inky and Mittsy!

Meow from the cats, and have a great week from me!

Well, your airdried coffee pages and upcycled edge piece creation is brilliant! So much more than the sum of its parts. And wow, look at all that new stash...but a bargain too, that makes it all better!!

You are going to love those paper dolls. I have two sets, both different. MY dollar store has nothing this unique and unusual. Lucky you, Linda.

Bleubeard and Squiggles want to wave paws to Inky and Mittsy. Happy WOYWW from # 8.

Well it's all a bit soggy across the pond Linda with more rain forecast. This week they have estimated a months worth already with more predicted but the gardens are so green hee hee!! I love using coffee and Tea to dye pages, it makes them smell delicious too, I've recently started a new Junk Journal will have to remember to show it next week, it's filling up nicely.
Well done for treating yourself to such lovely stash I always feel relieved when there is pound stuff amongst it!! Look forward to seeing what you create with it all, over time of course.
Thanks for sharing WoywW & Tummy tickles to Inky & Mittsy Jugs Tracey #3

Forgot to mention, I use instant coffee to dye my papers. I've even sprinkled bits of instant coffee on the papers for a different effect.

"flaming" June, it's supposed to be, not flaming wet June! if I tried drying coffee died paper outside here it would be pulp! Looks fabulous though, you got a wonderfully deep colour. Have a lovely week Helen #9

What's air con? We've had the heating on and its almost mid June. It was like a day in March yesterday, cold and blustery - bitterly cold.
Love the coffee dying you have been doing outside in the sunshine (envious) and even more I love the stash you have been buying. I love a good spend when over in America. Wish we had the stores you do.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

What good idea for using that packaging Linda. Amazing haul from the dollar store too. I wonder if I can persuade my mum to go and find one in Cranbrook BC as she and my father are over visiting my brother. Meow to the missing kitties and an 'Aye up duck!' from the Potteries to the mallards. Happy WOYWW Sarah #7

Hi Linda, no chance of drying pages outside here - drowning them maybe! Nice shopping haul - I will ask sis to take me to a Dollar Store next time we go to Canada. Have fun with your new goodies, and have a lovely week, Heather xx #12
