WOYWW #490

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! It is getting colder and colder here in Southern Ontario, but not below freezing yet, thankfully. But soon. Here is my desk this morning:

Messy again!

I made a Halloween Card:

And a Halloween Box from the cigar box I found last week:

The quote says: "Not all poison was bitter, some of the deadliest poisons were in the world tasted sweet. They were that much more dangerous because of it" I just need to add a couple of Halloween candies to the box! (do you see the Coke bottle?) The quote is by writer Nenia Campbell. Scary!

Hope you are having a wonderful October, Halloween is next week, and everyone here is gearing up for it!

Inky says a spooky "meow", and I say "have a great week!"

I don't do a lot of things for Halloween (well at all!) but love your box and card. We're due a cold snap here this weekend ; which I don't mind as long as it's dry! Thanks for visiting. Helen #1

Love the cigar box transformation and the card! I like the colours of Halloween but don't partake in it myself, I like the old folk tales but not Trick or Treating.

We don't celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands (although over the last years, the merchandise 'flew in' and we see quite some pumpkins and scary masks in the shops now...) I do love to see what you Americans make of it ;) The card is great and the cigar box is just fabulous! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland. Marit #19

Ha I do see the coke bottle that is fun paired with that quote. I Love how you did the quote like a ransom note too Linda.

Wow, I'm loving your Halloween card and box - what fabulous papers and embellishments. I love the spooky house stamp on the card and also the delicate cobweb - I'm trying to decide if that's a stamp or stencil, or perhaps neither! It's all just fabulous and spooky!
Have a great week,

Cigar box turned out fab, Linda! yep, gearing up for Halloween here as well. Thanks for the visit. I didn't get everything done I'd planned yesterday. Barely made it through the 4 cards for the challenge before a migraine sent me to my chair for the remainder of the day. Guess what I get to do today in 50* weather Creative Blessings! Kelly #27

Hi Linda, saw your question about the bonsai. Absolutely under no circumstances would you bring a native tree in-doors for the winter or they will die. If a tree is not healthy coming up to the winter it may die anyway but the biggest problem is the pot if it's not designed for Bonsai. If the soil is wet and then freezes the pots can break. More trees have died through people bringing them indoors than ever died being left out. They are unable to stand the temperature and dry air in the home. I keep mine in a sheltered spot but that's all. There are trees however, that can be kept in-doors usually tropical and sub tropical but I have never had much luck with them. Hope that answers your question. Have a lovely weekend, Angela xXx

I don't go for Halloween at all, Linda, but I do like to see a busy desk! Poor Inky being made to look spooky... Thank you for your lovely encouraging comment! So glad you enjoyed seeing our fabby meal out, and also my bread makes - you'd be more than welcome to break bread with me!! Keep an eye out for this week's WOYWW when you'll see Lily and Ruby having an adventure. As I write this, they are both on my legs and Ruby has practically washed Lily to bits over the past half hour. She's crashed out full-length and Ruby is hard at work, without a lot of room to move!

Happy belated WOYWW,
