WOYWW #481

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! Wednesdays sure do come around quickly! We have been enjoying lovely sunny days (except for yesterday's rain, which we needed) and cooler weather. Hope all of you are comfortable too!

Here is my desk this morning at 7:30am:

I have finished my Niagara Falls journal, and now starting a new one, a junk journal as before. I am really liking this technique! I am preparing the pages as I go, so you can see a few finished pages, and some that haven't been touched yet.

I really want to make a little video of the NF journal, so hopefully I can do that next week sometime and share with you on the next WOYWW. But I will share what I've done so far on this new journal:

The half circle page was a fan I got at our Canada Day celebrations! The other half will show up near the end!

You can see that the rest of the pages are just this and that, flyers from the mail, envelopes from the mail, a chocolate box. . .

. . .and I "discovered" Artist Trading Coins! Decided finally to make a few myself, I think this could become addictive! And they would go great in my journals! Anyone want to trade?

That's it for me today, I'm off to the gym! (there, I've said it, now I HAVE to go! LOL!)

"Meow" from Inky, and have a great week!

Love the new junk journal you've started Linda. Great use of junk mail and flyers. ATCoins are addictive aren't they? They make great embellishments and toppers for cards, tags and journal pages too. Perhaps next WOYWW anniversary we should all have a go at some of these instead of normal ATCs. Happy WOYWW and meow to Inky. Sarah #21

I can't get to grips with those ATC coins as you will see on my blog. Somehow my brain does not work with them, unlike yours - love what you have done.
Great new journal - I was thinking about making a journal myself. I love the 92 page one by Little Birdie but it is so expensive over here and I wonder how bulky it will end up when you start using it, So I thought I could make smaller signatures and enclose them in some kind of folder. Will have to see - got so many UFO's around maybe I should clear them first.

Wow, that new journal is looking great already. I see the little book of quotes on your desk...finished? Referred to much? I like the look of the ATCoins, but like most things, still havent got round to trying any and at this rate, the trend will have changed shape again before I manage any coins!

Hi Linda, sorry to be unclear. We often call them folders, although they are actually 3 ring binders. Hugs, Shaz X

I love your junk journal, Linda. There's something so free about junk journals - anything goes, and it takes away the fear of "getting it wrong" because there is no wrong! Also, I do love an annotated photo - they are always fun. I haven't done one for ages, but then that's because I haven't done much at my desk for ages lol! Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad you enjoyed the kitty pics. As for the bread, cling film would stick even worse - you need a low-gluten flour to create a barrier, and it's getting this to stick to a non-horizontal surface (up the sides of the bowl) that's the problem. Time to look at some more sourdough forums, I think!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Linda, sorry I'm late vusiting. The journal looks great! So colourful and bright. Lookjnv forward to seeing your NF journal. I've been there a few times, not sure if we are going again next month when we come back to Canada - my sister already has a few things planned. I don't know anything about ATC coins, my first ATC cards were for the Crop. Yours look great! Have a lovely week Heather x #10
