WOYWW #479

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello! Well, I'm back from my week in Niagara Falls (Canada), and never even saw the Falls, so many other fun things to do! Here is my desk this morning, just the way I left it when I went off to catch the train.

I worked on my travel journal everyday (which I am planning to show when I have finished). The highlight of the trip was a 7-course meal with wine pairings, all made by a Canadian celebrity chef, Matt Kershaw! Here is the menu:

It was to be a typical French-Canadian meal based on the "Order of Good Cheer", which was originally a French Colonial order founded by suggestion of Samuel de Champlain upon arrival in New France, present day Canada. It was absolutely delicious.

I will make today short and sweet, just like our fearless leader likes it, but I leave you with a picture of Patrick, my Inky substitute in Niagara Falls while I was away. Apart from being a male cat, and much bigger than Inky, it was nice to have a black cat around!
Patrick

And Inky was very happy to see us when got home! Have a great week,

So glad you had a great time away even with an Inky substitute but I can't imagine how you went to Niagara and didn't see the falls!! That menu sounds gorgeous, everything appeals to me :-D

Well, hello Patrick! He looks a handsome chap - wonder what Inky would think of him?
Love the menu - especially the mussel garlic sauce, mind you it all sounds as if it would have gone down a treat with me. But what pray, is Sugar Pie? Was it composed of those spirits or did they accompany the pie?
Have a good week now you have come back to earth.

Lovely busy desk and I am glad you had a fun time away. I only went to Niagara briefly about 18 years ago and the only thing we did see was the falls! Patrick is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a lovely week. Caro x (#14)

You must have been busy Linda if you visited Niagara and didn't get to see the falls this time. That meal sounds delicious, glad you enjoyed it so much. I look forward to seeing the travel journal when it is complete. Meow to Inky (my brother is called Patrick and he has a black cat so your Inky substitute made me smile). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8

Goodness that menu sounds delicious, although I doubt I'd be able to remember the first course by the time I got to the last course with all that alcohol!
Patrick definitely has a 'don't mess with me' look - I bet Inky was pleased to have you home again.
Have a great week,
