WOYYW #475

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Wednesdays sure come by fast! We have been having lovely weather lately, and we are finally out of the heat wave! Just sunshine and perfect temps! We did have a "pop-up" thunderstorm yesterday that nicely watered all my plants for me!

Here is my desk today:

I started a new journal that I think I will use for my art journaling class that I will teach soon. A nice easy way to make our own journals! I watched Dorlene's You Tube video and was inspired! I don't have a long-arm stapler though, so I stitched it (rather badly) but it worked out!

So I will be working on the journal, which I want to use as a travel journal for my annual trip to Niagara Falls in 2 weeks. Should work out well!

Now to bore you with some garden pics! I haven't shown my little "grotto" yet this year, it has the new addition of a lovely bamboo windchime, as well as a bleeding heart plant (which blends in so you can't see it!)

The Hostas are just about to bloom. . .

The birdbath is a little more visible now. . .

I found a cute hanging birdbath/feeder when I was cleaning the garage - not sure what I will put in it:

and my little froggy birdbath is nestled in the perennial bed. . .

which now looks like this:

I love my hummingbird feeder turned garden ornament that I made (the stopper kept falling out!):

and my tomatoes are flowering!

all is good in my front yard! (Someday I will show you what I have to work with in the backyard - maybe next week!)

Inky oversees it all. . .

and says a happy "meow!" to all of you! Have a wonderful week!

Hi Linda, looks like that flash storm and rain did your lovely garden some good; everything is brown here! Have fun at Niagara Falls if I don't see you again before you go. Meow to Inky. Sarah #14

Hi Linda, your garden is certainly looking great, we've had no rain here in the UK for maybe 3-4 weeks now, that's almost unheard of!Enjoy your trip, Have a lovely week,Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

Oh your gaden is a treat. Our tomatoes are fruiting now, so was surprised to see yours at the flowering stage. Very impressed by your stitched journal, wow! Glad you’re enjoying Dorlene’s channel, I will be across to it myself soon, but dont look for any journals on my desk...I just like to watch!!

Hi Linda, we had a shower overnight and it has refreshed our garden after weeks of hot, dry weather. It's still warm out but feels fresher but the lawn hasn't recovered from the heat yet. I like your journal - though the sewing sounds a bit more work than stapling. Meow to Inky from me. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #29

Your garden looks great - the hostas look incredibly healthy, the ones in Halifax were amazing too!! Dont you have slugs in Canada? They love chomping on the hostas here in the UK. I know Poutine is supposed to be delicious, many of the Canadian delegates were encouraging us to try but it was the cheese curds bit, just not my cup of tea (or gravy, lol!!)

Although I have a lovely balcony at our new appartment, I'm a bit jealous when I see your garden... I LOVE all the bird-baths too!!! You mentioned before that you work in a second hand store, yes - go look for a nice (jean) jacket and alter it... it's soooo rewarding to 'make it special and unique!' Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, love from Holland, Marit #19

Your garden looks great. I have a brown thumb but I do try every year to grow anything green. LOL Thanks for the name drop on the junk journal. Man, it sure does make you look twice at what we used to call "junk". I just added another YouTube video (check out my blog) on another journal page and quick flip through. Can't wait to see how your class goes! Dorlene #34

What a very pretty garden you have and how lovely all those bird additions are. I just love your water feature - cute frog. Any tips on keeping the snails/slugs from the Hostas?
Am sure your stitching is fine in your new journal - I mess up when i use the long arm stapler - it begins to look rather pin pricked LOL.

Great photos Linda. I'm not sure where the time goes either which is why I'm so late this week. Happy belated woyww and wishing you a fun and crafty week, Angela x13x

I really do love your garden and porch Linda, it all looks so inviting. So many little intricate bits and bobs and treasures to discover. It's always a pleasure to see the photo's.
The upcoming Journal teaching class sounds like fun, sadly I was unable to watch Dorlene's video due to my laptop still misbehaving. It's taking me forever to get around everyone.
Thanks for sharing WOYWW Happy crafting Tracey #2

I apologize for visiting so late, Linda. My slow internet that my provider can’t seem to help me with, along with a visit from three young people has culminated with a cough, chills, sweats, and sore throat that my friends believe is the flu. This may seem like a cop-out, but I believe in visiting everyone, or I shouldn’t be playing. I appreciate you understanding. I was so happy that you had already visited and said Meow to Bleubeard and Squiggles.

I can't wait to see Dorlene's Junk Journal. I make some using paper and thread, no glue. The cover is always fabric that I tear and piece together.

I love your garden. My hostas are not anywhere near ready to bloom, but yours are looking lovely. Folks in the UK ask me about slugs, too. Thankfully, they aren't in my garden, either.

Have fun at the Falls. I can only imagine the beauty and I understand the Canadian side is even more beautiful and larger than the American side. Happy very belated WOYWW from # 4.

HI Linda!
Love the garden pics. Still hot here. We did get a good rain a couple nights ago that saturated everything. Looks as if to get more here in a bit. yay. Temps are still too hot to want to work outside and my garden beds are sadly lacking. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through yours :-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #31
