WOYWW #471

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

June 13 already! Where is June going so fast? So far we have had a pleasant June, cool mornings, sunny afternoons. Gardening has been done. Plants have been bought. We are planning a belated Birthday Party for DD in a week, and we bought a dining tent so we could have it outside, now we will just need good weather that night! Forecast for tonight-severe storm with possible tornadoes. Something to look forward to.

Here is my desk this morning, kind of boring:

However, it doesn't mean I didn't do anything this week! My i-Pad cover was starting to fall apart, so I did this with some of my Gelli Plate paper:

Seems to be working fine, I just need to do some adjustments, and maybe tape the edges? Not sure yet. But is it unique! I also made a card for a friend who often peeks at my blog, so I won't show it today.

So I have been in my garden, if you want to see garden pics, here they are:

My perennial garden is nice and full, I added a couple of annuals, and some Lobelia hanging from a little pot, and I put all my herbs around the border.

My birdbath has become a jungle of Nasturtiums, the birds still go in there though! At some point (I am assured) the nasturtiums will cascade down.

My side garden is next on my list. This garden has been neglected for more than 20 years.

So I have made a start:

We have this lovely limestone flower border that has essentially been covered up for years. I pulled out all the Lily of the Valley that spewed into the lawn (I know it will probably resurface next spring, but that's OK) and trimmed some of the bushes. There is one we have to dig right out, a forsythia, which will be hard work. And we have to trim down our giant flowering bushes which have gone tall and spindly. But it's a start! At least it's starting to look like a garden again!

Well, that's it for me! Don't forget to stop and smell the spring flowers!

Inky says "meow" and I say have a great week!

Hi Linda, great job with the cover. Love how the garden looks, and yes Nasturtiums will cascade down! I've had them go 6 feet or more! But you can get slightly less crazy versions. :) Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz#8 XxXx

Just LOVE that garden. Here in Texs there is nothing so wonderful. At 90 to 100F everything shrivels up, even me!
Have a good week

WOW, that is NOT a boring desk. The cover is unusual and well done. Paper engineering at its best.

Your garden is starting to look like something I envy. I'm really impressed with all your hard work and it seems to be paying off. I love the idea of herbs so close, too.

Hi to Inky from Bleubeard and Squiggles. Happy WOYWW from # 6.

Your gelli print paper is just gorgeous -I love the textures and colours, and especially the pearlescent shine (unless that's just the sun shining on it!).
Your garden is looking fab but it takes a lot of hard work doesn't it - my back is suffering after yesterday's battle with a Buddleia!
Hope you have a great week, and thank you for stopping by earlier.

Hi Linda, love what you did with your iPad cover. I haven't tried those crackle paints you have - they might be just what I'm looking for! Lovely photos of the garden - I wonder if Inky and Oreo would get on well together? They've forecast some storms around here too. Thanks for your visit earlier. Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #22

Hi Linda. Some lovely shots of the borders in your garden - well done. I love lily of the valley and have a great area of them - I'll even get to see them again after tomorrow, when Mr and Mrs D will take their garden pots to their new home...
Take care. God bless.

I worked on Gelli print backgrounds today...was so happy to have time to myself.maybe can post them next Wednesday. We had a stormy day...south of us 7 inches of rain, a real mess. Time is just flying by. I didn't buy flowers this year, so much wind and watering required and with us being gone a lot I thought the cost was too high. He did plant some wild flowers so will have fresh ones. We planted mostly perennials 2 yrs ago so I don't have to mess with them. Enjoy a good weekend

Nice way to give yourself a unique iPad cover. If you tape the edges it will last longer probably , but as you can always make another and have a chameleon iPad.....I am reclaiming our neglected garden too, putting shrubs in and changing the Layout a bit. I don't enjoy it particularly, but I want it to look nice and above all tidy, it drives me nuts!
