WOYWW #462

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings from still cold Southern Ontario! Today is the warmest we've been in a long time, at +3C, or 37.4 F. But apparently we are getting an ice storm on the weekend. Something to look forward to (NOT!).

Here is my desk this morning, I did finally get back to it, since I had to make a birthday card for my SIL!

I also started a new page in my journal. I painted the page with black gesso to begin with, then found some TH tissue paper I had long forgotten I had, so plastered that down. Added some Washi Tape border, and now the pages are flattening under two boxed of mounted stamps. No idea what comes next - I have to wait until it tells me!

Here is the card I made for my SIL, who is off to Vancouver and will probably do some surfing, which he loves to do

I got the idea for the waves on pinterest, but didn't have any white core paper, so I embossed white on the torn edges - I think it works! The "sand" is sandpaper.

And here are Inky's true feelings about the weather lately:

I think she can't wait for the temperatures to go up! Just a little longer, kitty!

Here's wishing everyone a wonderful week, until next Wednesday. . .

Hi Linda and meow to Inky, she definitely looks fed up. I love the journal page as it is so far. I have two precious sheets of each of those tissue papers as the rolls are no longer available and use them very sparingly. Love what you've done with them. Have a great week and hope that the ice storm is brief and doesn't get too close. Sarah #14

Lovely card! The texture is amazing. Have fun with the journal page-hopefully it won't take too long to start talking. I sympathize with Inky and you; with luck tonight will be our last snow fall. Have a great week.

I have a similar photo of my jack russell. just his two back legs sticking out from under the fleece on my bed, he'd burrowed under there. So funny.

The card definitely works and great use of sand paper too.

Have a lovely week,

Poor Inky - although why I should say that when she is snuggled up so warmly I have no idea.
I thought it was cold here but that blast you are due sounds horrendous. Good idea to get journalling and I applaud you waiting for the next inspiration to hit - look forward to seeing what comes next - exciting!
Hugs, Neet xx

Boy, I'm with Inky! So tired of the cold. We've not fared much better with temperatures here in the US. Just plain crazy weather. I'm still waiting for Spring. Love how you created your white edging since you didn't have 'core'. Good idea! Improvising is part of the fun of... Creative Blessings! Kelly #24
