WOYWW #458

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

My desk, yesterday afternoon:

I was working on my journal page, when I lost my main image (the Goddess), and couldn't find it anywhere. That's when I thought I should take a break! I never did find it, I had to make a new one.

This was my 2nd desk this week - my dining room table. I am teaching myself watercolour sketching for a nature/daily journal. I started on this is the fall, then dropped it for some reason, and now I picked it up again because I found a fab teacher online (Gay Kraeger)!

This is the page I did yesterday from this journal, from a quick sketch I did in October 2017
I hope I can keep this journal up!
I made myself a traveling bag for my watercolour things - they all fit!

and the bag is about the size of my journal

I made 2 journal pages last week:

This one was kind of a look back on my youth in California. AND I found my lost stencil! (along with several more that I didn't know were missing yet!) I was so happy I used as many as I could on this page!

And this one I decided to start with a quote, and go from there
It was this one that gave me talk-back. I think it hated the first image I cut out of the Goddess, and lost it, and it is still lost. I was forced to make a new one, but NOT the same paper! I chose the paper, but then (the page) had me turn the paper over and stamp on the back - which was the real side that it wanted! I think the page was right, this looks much better then the first one I cut out. Listen to your pages! The quote is "The present moment is a powerful Goddess" -Goethe

It is STILL winter out there. . .

and this is still Inky's favourite place to sit and get warm after venturing outside! Can you see the heating vent just peeking out from under her tummy?

I hope someone out there is enjoying Spring weather. . .we can't wait!! Have a great week,

Great watercolour journal. And a good idea!

I discovered the water-colour-pen-brush
recently and it is so fab to work with!
Before that I find it very hard to work
with watercolours. Now I love colouring
stamps etc with them.

Have a fun woyww!

Your journal pages are lovely, I like the idea of listening to what they tell you!! And what a great idea to do the watercolour one, you are so talented.
Love your snow pictures. We seem to have got rid of ours for a bit although they are forecasting more at the weekend. Oh how I long for the summer and to be able to get out in the garden amongst the flowers again.
Happy WOYWW and keep warm. Inky has the right idea.

Love the Goddess page, so nice when you can respond to the colour and paper like that, always always makes for a finish that’s makes you happy. Good for yo. For picking up the water colouring again, it’s no different to when we were at school is it...the ‘groove’ of the right teacher makes all the difference to a subject!

Lovely picture of the snow outside but I think Inky has the right idea.
Great journal pages, I especially like the 'hark to youth' page - lovely girl you found to adorn it.
Stay safe in the snow, stay in and watercolour.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

great looking desks and works. Love those pages! DD bought me a watercolor booklet that has watercolor paint dried on pages that is really highly pigmented and I can't wait to get them. Have a great weekend...Vickie #34

Awww... look at Inky, finding the warmest spot! Lol! Ruby and Lily send hugs and purrs to her and to you. Ruby doesn't have any spare ones for me at the moment - Mummy is definitely not flavour of the month as Ruby continues to be her delinquent teenagery self for now! Lily is a bit better but not much! They are just too busy-busy-busy with their own affairs at the moment. Lovely snowy picture, and great art this week too - I love your hippy California look! I think I was a frustrated hippy wanna be and still dress the part a bit, lol lol! (Is that appropriate for a nearly 65 year old...?) Thank you for your great comment - so glad you liked the flowers which did look pretty amazing en masse. I made far too many but some were starting to run out even so. The rest will go in my stash for other projects. The mystery project is all but finished now and if I hadn't been so tired after my day out today I'd have been in the studio this evening, but I've got tomorrow. Snow permitting, we are meeting the recipient for lunch on Monday, after which it will be the Big Reveal!

Happy belated WOYWW,
