WOYWW #438

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Another very busy day, late getting to my blog! It has started to cool down a little bit here in Eastern Ontario, but last night we were walking around in T-shirts still! Crazy weather! It is often very cold by this time, with frosts!

Here is my desk this morning. Not a lot different from last week's as I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to my journal, but I did get a little bit done to it. Hopefully I will have more time this week!

Playing with my gelli plate! Starting to get the hang of it! Lots more to learn though!

We had our 33rd wedding Anniversary last Friday - here's the card I made for hubby!

Also some sketching:

This is my view, sitting in bed watching TV, of the wall in front of me. The bird is part of the wooden lamp.

We had a lovely "fakesgiving", our version of a late Thanksgiving when everyone could get together! And the next day we went for a drive.

Amazingly, we were able to have our apps on the porch!!

Appetizers!

My Mom and Step-Dad

 Spicy Moroccan Peanut Butter-Tomato Soup!

My DD, me, and my niece in the background! (she made the delicious soup!)

Sketching on the dock
The 3 of us!

Well that's it for today, a hearty "meow" from Inky (no she did not drink the wine!) - she's only allowed on the table when there is no one at the table, in case you were wondering!

I hope everyone has a great week ahead, sorry if I can't get to everyone these days, my time seems to be limited! I will certainly get back to those who leave a comment, and to all whose number includes an 9, since I will be #29!

Hi Linda, belated wishes for your 33rd Anniversary. Lovely card.
I really like the journal page and think the leaves standing proud of the page will look fabulous. Close up next week?
You have done some lovely gelli prints there - I don't seem to have much luck with them myself. I think I give up too soon and don't put enough layers on,
The Fakesgiving looks great - fun, lovely food and so many happy faces - plus the weather! Lovely to see something lie this being posted.
Hoe the week continues to be sunny
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

What a lovely, feel-good blog post! I love your gelli printing - such gorgeous autumn colours with that perfect touch of green - they make fabulous leaves. Lovely to see your surrounding area - it looks very picturesque.
Have a great week,

You're the same vintage as me then because my hubby and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Sept!! (I was a child bride, lol!). Lovely pics of your Thanksgiving, it's so nice to see how families celebrate in other parts of the world. Thank you for telling me about your skipping rhyme too, we do something similar in the UK, except the chant is Salt, Mustard, Vinegar, Pepper. That took me back, I can tell you.
Thanks for visiting me, sorry I'm late replying, it's been a busy 24 hours!
Hugs LLJ 7 xxxx

Hi Linda, thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I was looking for yours on Wednesday but you must have come to the party late! Better late than never though, right? Love the different ways you used your gelli prints - cutting leaves for the hair is genius! Lovely family photos - we've had a couple of warm days too that felt almost like summer - it's pretty chilly at the mo though. Hope you're having a good weekend! zsuzsa #18

Linda, I owe you a huuuge apology for not replying to your lovely comment a whole week ago, and publishing your comment on my blog... if you read my blog this week you will see I've not been too well and finding it hard to keep up with everything. What a lovely post you wrote - so full of interest and happiness! Congratulations on your 33rd wedding anniversary - we've been married 31 years. The card you made for your hubby is truly gorgeous and I love the way it folds out. Your dining table looks so appetising and wonderful all laid up and goodness, doesn't that soup sound delicious! Your appetisers had my mouth watering too. Nothing like a good foodie post, I always say. A gelli plate is on my long-term wish list but it will have to wait for now, until I can discipline myself to get down to doing stuff again, and using the things I've actually got! I love the results you'v got so far, especiallly the sheet you've punched the leaves from - fabulous colours, just right for the time of year.

You are right - the double dose of kitty cuteness can be hard to deal with at times, especially when one has Things to Do lol! Do get a new kitten - or perhaps 2? 2 are fun! I am glad that Inky still plays. Our 2 old ones got too old and staid and we'd forgotten what all this naughtiness was like! So glad you liked my cards. Close up, they weren't brilliant because the top part was made of paper that had buckled. Ah well. I'll do better next time.

Happy WOYWW (belated for last week, on time for this!!)
