Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

It's finally starting to feel like Fall with temperatures down to 1°C this morning!

Here is my desk. I took this photo yesterday, today my desk is boring, nothing on it!

I did get the Plaster of Paris part of my project done, and everything is now dry and hard.

Everything drying after pushing the Plaster of Paris through the lace onto some of the fodder pieces

And now the last step before assembling, adding some color. I'm almost done!

I have also been working on my leaves during drying times...

A couple are finished and sealed. The ones below are just started.

Inky is outside this morning - Brrrr! Mittsy decided watching through the window was the way to go this morning, but when it warms up a bit she will be out! Inky and Mittsy say "meow!" and I say have a great week!

Wow! 700th post of WOYWW! Amazing!
Congratulations to Julia, our fearless leader, who started this blog hop 700 posts ago!

Here is my desk this morning:

I have discovered dot painting! And I have been dot painting some of our beautiful fall leaves, and giving them away to friends and family. The Plaster of Paris is waiting for when I have enough time to do the next step of Fodder School.
Here are some of the leaves I have painted:

This is the one I'm working on that is on my desk

And here is the card and Peace Catcher I made for my friend in Niagara Falls:

I also sent her a leaf!

Finally, the pumpkin we carved for Halloween this year, now being devoured by our many squirrels!

I wasn't able to reply to some people last week, and there were some questions about burning the holes in my paper. If I had burned the paper when it was dry, I think it would have gone up in a "woosh!" and I wouldn't be able to get the controlled burn that I got when the paper was wet, and yes it did burn very well! Cindy commented that Fodder School could be called "extreme crafting" - I agree!

That's it for today, the cats are out enjoying a beautiful fall day today! Have a great week, and meow from Inky and Mittsy!

Wow! #699! Almost there! I hope everyone has had a nice week, we have been enjoying the fall leaves with almost summer weather!

Here is my desk this morning, still working on my Fodder School. Here I am wetting all my pages with rusty water, and burning holes in some of the wet pages.

Last week was our wedding anniversary, here is hubby's card (idea straight from Pinterest!):

I made a similar birthday card for a friend that I will show next week.

Here are a couple of photos of Mittsy taken by my next door neighbour at her place!

And a final photo of some hydrangea from my garden, drying for the winter.

you can see me peeking out from behind!

Have a wonderful week! See you at 700!

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying the fall colours, we certainly are. But it's also getting so cold the cats think twice about going outside in the mornings. I love Fall, I dislike cold. I'm already looking forward to Spring! I've been collecting a few leaves on my walk, so that I can make some art on them. If I am successful I will show you!

Here is my desk this morning. I am pressing the leaves I picked up yesterday.

And here is Monday when I was doing some marks using styrofoam meat trays that I had inscribed onto. I used my Grandmothers very fancy pen that doesn't work to inscribe! This was step four I believe in this process that I am doing for Fodder School. The next step uses the teas that I made for dying the fabrics, which is why you can see the jar of tea in today's picture.

That's about it for today, short and sweet! I leave you with a lovely photo my SIL took on Thanksgiving weekend - 3 generations!

Our 38th wedding anniversary is tomorrow - boy, time flies!

Have a wonderful week, we are closing in on 700! Ink and Mittsy say "meow!" (Mittsy has located a mouse under the stove, and we are now in the process of getting rid of it, either by live-trap or Mittsy, whichever comes first. Isn't Fall fun!)

Last week was so busy that I didn't spend any time in my art room, so here is my desk this morning:

I think all I did this week was throw some finished and dried papers on top of the papers from last week.

Here is the view from my door. I can hardly move in here without knocking something over!

Last weekend was Thanksgiving, and my DD, SIL, and Granddaughter came to visit. We had a great time! We went to the park, Jasper had her first wagon ride, she learned how to mash egg yolks for deviled eggs, and she rode her mother's rocking horse for the first time!

She has grown so much since the last time we saw her!

The leaves are starting to change and are looking beautiful, we will go on our annual "leaf tour" next weekend and I will share some photos then. Have a wonderful week, and I will try and get into my art room this week! Inky and Mittsy say "meow"!

Hello October! It ranges from 4°C to 21°C in one day these days! The cats are now waiting for it to warm up before they venture outside. I missed last week's post because I got Covid from my hubby who got it several days before. Try as I might to avoid it, it found me. It's over now, and I'm left with a terrible sounding cough that seems to be getting better every day. But I did mange to get some things done in my art room when I felt better.

Here is today's desk:

It looks like I'm just making a mess, and you would be right. It's called "mark making" and I'm using found items to make marks on different types of papers. There is a purpose to all of this which will be revealed eventually. I also dyed some fabrics using natural dyes that I found around the house, mostly teas, but I also had some very old saffron that I used to get a bit of a yellow colour. I wanted to use turmeric, which I couldn't find, but then did, of course, the next day. I'll use it next time.

That's it for me today, I leave you with a picture of my SIL walking with Jasper - she's walking now!

                                                                                Twins!

This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada, we will have a small gathering (it went from 10 to 6 over the last few days), but best of all we will get to see Jasper and her parents!

Have a great week!

Hello everyone! Hard to believe September is almost over, only one more week. After avoiding Covid for 3 years it has finally come to visit hubby, but I seem to be OK for now. I hope I don't catch it.

Here is my desk this morning, I'm just ending one phase of my Fodder School I and will probably start the next phase today. It looks like a lot of fun, lots of experimenting! But I will have to totally clean off my desk.

I've started working on another little book, which I will add to throughout the next phase of Fodder School.

Here are the stamps I carved in the last phase:

And what they look like stamped. Some of these you saw in my travel journal. The one in the middle is two sided.

Almost everyday I go for a walk, and halfway is Lake Ontario. I know I've shown you pictures before, but here are two more:

I hope everyone has a lovely week, "meows" from Inky and Mittsy!
