Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you
want to know what WOYWW is, just go to
http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html and all will be
revealed!
Hello! I have to work on Wednesday, early, so I'm writing this Tuesday night, and it will be short and sweet!
Here was my desk on Monday afternoon:
The ideas going through my head had to come out! I saw , in a group on FB, a way to use my discarded wood mounts!
I cleaned up the big mess, and here is my desk today (Tuesday)
Finally making some Christmas cards! I made a design I liked, and am now making a set of ten the same. Also started a new Christmas decoration (plaque?) using a wooden picture I found at a thrift store for 99 cents. I have ordered the Tim Holtz Christmas cut out people, so may wait for them to arrive (if I can) to finish this!
So that's it for me today. Inky is upstairs sleeping on the warm waterbed (it has gotten very cold in the last few days!) but I'm sure she would say "hello" if she could! I will try and visit everyone I can next week, those ending in my number, those who comment, and hopefully a few more! Have a wonderful week!

This one I used the image on the wood mount as a part of the design! I'm not sure what to call these- stand alone Christmas decorations? Maybe you have some ideas?

Hi Linda, great way to use up wood mounts. I kept the suitable sized ones from mine, and made blending tools with them, by adding a handle to the top, and stapling on some Velcro ( hook & loop tape) to the bottom.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
Amazing cards! and great way to (re)use wood mounts! Happy WOYWW! xox Cheetarah #28
I make batch production Christmas cards too, I think it's the only way to get them done sometimes haha. The plaque looks very interesting, excited to see it finished

Despite the absence, "hello" to Inky.
I love the plaques you have been making, especially the one with the TH figures on it. So evocative.
Love how busy your desk is in the first photograph - interesting to nosey around for me.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
These look lovely Linda, a great way to use up your wood mounts. I think using one design for Christmas cards is the way to go, that's what I shall be doing although changing the colour now and again.
Inky has the right idea finding a warm place if it's getting chilly.
Have a good week

you've been so busy! Love the way you've used your wooden mounts. Helen #1
Wow that is some transformation from very busy to tidy, wonder if it will last. Happy woyww, Angela x11x
Well I'd call them 'little beauties'! They really are gorgeous - and using the old wood blocks is a brilliant idea. Love the look of the plaque so far - can't wait to see the finished thing.
Have a good week,

Love the Chrimbo decoration with the little girl great way to use your blocks. Thanks for the visit BJ#7
Those are really great Christmas cards and very different too, love the vintage look! I think INky is a very wise cat, are you not worried that her claws will puncture the water bed though?!
Hugs LLJ 15 xxxx
Oh I feel bad now - I thought it was unfinished because it is labelled as 'Plaque in progress' across the centre of it and I just assumed you hadn't finished it. Sooooo sorry!!

Meow to the absent Inky. What a great use of all those wooden blocks. I love the paper dolls too. I was lucky enough to finally get hold of the Christmas set, so have all three. They are so useful for finding a finishing touch. Love your use of them. Happy WOYWW Sarah #10
Always good to find a way to use up redundant wood blocks, Linda. I've used all my small ones to make blending tools with - they have squares of cut 'n dry foam stuck to them and they work a treat. Sorry not to see Inky but she's got the right idea, getting her head down now the weather is getting colder! Hope to see her next time - and then hopefully her new companion in December!! Thanks for your lovely comment and I hope your trip goes really well. So glad you enjoyed seeing our cutest little babies! They are adorable, aren't they! My hubby and I roared with laughter at Ruby with her wings! Lily's not too keen on her suit but is putting up with it. Only a few more days and we'll take them back to the vet's and hopefully she'll say they can strip off because their wounds have healed enough.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Linda. What a lovely use for those wood blocks. They look great - but, like you, I wouldn't know quite what to call them... Great for Christmas gifts, though!
Take care. God bless.

Do love before and after shots of desks spaces. And Christmas cards, I did count last night about halfway at a pinch I’ve 31 made or nearly done, but many More to do... hugs Shaz in Oz.x
Great idea using the wooden stamp mounts for christmas decorations. Thanks for your visit earlier.

They remind me of Chunky ATCs which were made with wood blocks!!
They are very cool and make stand alone Christmas decorations for sure!!

Sorry to be so late! I think it's perfectly fair to call the latest project a plaque, I expect you've finished it by now! Love it when you hit on a card design that means you dont mind repeating it for a batch, so useful! Love the Dawn houser stamps I spy on your lovely collage.
