It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! I am looking out of my office window at tons of snow...

My fence is almost comptely covered! Here is a view from Toronto at my DD's place...

We got a bit of snow this week! Pickleball  was cancelled 2 weeks in a row due to snow☹️❄️.

Here is my desk this morning. I am working on my Gratitude page for my self-care journal from watching You Tube videos by Megan Quinlan.

I finished last week's page on Books and Movies/TV shows I like:

That's it for me this week! I will leave you with Jasper making snow angels!

Have a wonderful and creative week, Inky and Mittsy send their purrs!

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! I hope everyone is well! Today is a typical winter's day, expecting 15-20cm of snow. So I am tucked up in my nice warm house in my nice warm fuzzy pajama bottoms! Inky has the zoomies this morning, she really wants to get outside!

Here is my desk this morning. I was working early this morning between 2 & 3am because I couldn't sleep. It happens sometimes...

I made that whole 2 page spread early this morning.

I am working in my Self-Care Journal that I started, It's a journal essentially about me, my favourite things, gratitude, etc. I'm following a You Tube tutorial by Megan Quinlan. The pages I did this morning will be about favourite movies and authors.

Here is the one I worked on last week, I did add somthing to the page on the right. I haven't filled in anything yet on this page, but it is about my favourite things and things to do. And I used my new house stamps! I love how this page turned out.

I made a new page in my tiny 3" book, the first one since November I think:

And finally, a shout out to my good friend Therese who sent me a funky birthday card! I love it!

Well that's it for today, hunkering down for a snowy day! I will leave you with Inky, dreaming of warmer days...

Have a great week!

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

I have played in my art room several times this week, and my desk this morning still looks like this!

Amazing! I don't know how long I can keep this up, and it's a little boring...

I did some "tweaking" of my desk arrangement...

We were purging our many cups the other day, and so I brought my favourites that DD had brought from the many places she's been to into my art room. They were perfect for my Posca Pens and other paint pens! And they fit perfectly on my large lazy susan! So I think ths arrangement will do very well, and I can still enjoy my favourite cups!

But here is what I have been working on. Megan Quinlan has a free You Tube Self-Care Journal tutorial that I have been following (only 3 videos so far).

Making words and phrases with her stencils

I made the journal, the first page, and the next two pages where I write the things that give me joy. Already these 2 pages give me joy! My DD gave me some Washi Tape for Christmas, one was very shiny so I thought I would use it, but it turned out that it was blobby shapes instead! Very cool, I've never seen that before! So I will be adding to this journal, also I want to make another "regular" journal.

I got $50 (£26.77) in Gift cards for Christmas and my birthday for Michael's (a big nationwide craft store, the only one we have here), and of course, spent ot all at once. It doesn't go very far! But I got a 12x12 scoring board (something I've needed for awhile), some new brushes, some house stamps, and 3 white pens.

These house stamps are so CUTE! I think I will do something with them today!

Yes, we are finally at the end, and here is a photo of Mittsy and Inky playing. Yes, only playing, even though it can sometimes be alarming, they never hurt each other!

Well, that's it for today, Mittsy. Inky and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Warning: Long post!

Happy New Year everyone! Inky, Mittsy and I hope you all have the best creative times in 2026 !

Well, I missed two weeks with traveling, and hosting etc. Christmas fell on an awkward day this year! But here we are, in a brand new year, all kinds of projects ahead of us. To be able to do those projects I need room on my desk. I was, once again, down to a teeny space to work on, so (as I seem to do every January) I re-organized my desk. It really was a mess! I started on Monday...

and got rid of my big lazy susan storage units which just seemed to take up space, and just used the lazy susan trays with cups and glasses. I bought a make-up lazy susan that was double tiered which fit nicely, and put all my glues on it.

Tuesday: I worked on my markers and paint pens, and tried to get things I actually used a lot closer to me. I wanted to get everything off of my wooden work space.

Wednesday: all done! I will probably tweak it here and there, but so far I like it.

And finally it looks like this:

Woo hoo! I hope I can keep it like this! The glue book in the back is a telephone book, not good for much anymore, so I use it as extra paper for gluing on, and testing markers, etc.

Next, some pages in my journal, which is almost finished. I need to make a new one!

I showed Jasper how to do a Gelli Print. First she drew on the gelliplate with Posca Paint pens, then we put the paint on top, and pulled the print. I don't think she was that impressed...maybe next time! I liked it though. It is the first drawing of something recognizable that I have seen her do, though obviously she is drawing a lot now!

It was my birthday on the 1st, and my DD gave me a lovely gift of stickers, rub-ons, and Mulberry Paper. The gift came wrapped in the paper that I used as a background to the girl beside the Santa, so pretty! And it was tied with a kind of rolled paper rope. they make the ends into a beautiful flower!

so cool! I hope I can use it on a journal page!

And here are some birds I finished off yesterday:

We had a visitor for the past week, I opened the door one morning and it was standing there looking at me! Henrietta the neighborhood wild turkey:

She decided to stay quite awhile,  but I haven't seen her yet today, so maybe she's moved on. Of course the cats were quite concerned...

I will leave you with this photo of Jasper and her Christmas dessert!

Happy new year! Have a wonderful week!
