Day 7-GYAO

What a gorgeous day! Not too hot, not too cold, it was hard not to spend the entire day outside (the mosquitoes convinced me that that wasn't really good idea though!).

This is where I like to read and the mosquitoes like to feed. A citronella candle has made life a bit easier. . my summer read is going awfully fast - good thing I have 4 more waiting!

But I did get some art done today despite the nice weather. I have been reading this book:
and it is full of little projects, so I decided to try the first one, creating several prepared canvases at a time.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 all done. I need some paint that I don't have, I will pick it up tomorrow when I'm downtown, and then see what comes next!

Your canvases look wonderful! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Your front porch is dreamy! I'd love a lazy afternoon, looking out at all that greenery, cool breezes and a good book.....I am dreaming. It was 106 in the brown desert today, so I'll just live vicariously through the pic of your front porch.

I have been going back and forth whether or not to purchase that book. Oh I love what you've done so far with the 3 canvases.

Linda, great minds think alike. I also read Pam Carriker's book "Art at the Speed of Life" loved it! So glad you're enjoying it as well. Have you checked out Pam's online youtube videos they are very inspiring as well? I agree with Barbara about your porch it looks so inviting... darn those mosquitoes they will learn their lesson when they become part of your next mix-media project. LOL
