Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well. We finally have a respite today of a few days of solid miserable rain and cold. Brr! We should have a fairly sunny day today, but, since it's Fall, still chilly out there!

Here's my desk taken last night when I thought I was done for the day:

But I was too excited to get this pop up page done that I worked on it a bit later when everything was dry. This is a project from Marjie Kemper, in an Altered Book. I love working in Altered Books but haven't done it in quite awhile, since we stopped meeting in our little group. We used to send altered books in rounds in the post, but the postage got too high and we had to stop. So I was happy to do this page in my Dictionary Altered Book, A for Asia

I had quite the time with that pop-up, I had to re-do it entirely once, then the first time I glued it in, it stuck out the side of the book! So I had to cut it out and re-glue it. All learning curves! I would love to make another one, maybe further along in the book.

On Saturday, Hubby and I went for a long "leaf tour", as he calls it, but sadly we were about a week too late and most of the colour was gone, except this awesome tree in Perth, Ontario!

We went there for our Anniversary Dinner, to a lovely German Restaurant that we've been going to for years (it's about 1 1/2 hours from home) called Maximillians. Since I am on a Low-Carb diet, my menu choices were slim, but I did get this!

Smoked Salmon Appetizer

Sausages with sautéed veggies

I only ate one sausage, but most of the veggies!
I also took this eerie photo: (I inverted the colours!)

Last week I mentioned that I had cut down my hibiscus, but saved all the branches with flower buds hoping they would bloom, and so far they are!

And now for the cats, and their favourite sleeping spots...

she likes her privacy!

Well  that's it for us today! We hope you have a wonderful week, Mittsy and Inky say "meow!"

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall (Spring) weather! Personally, I'm freezing. Hubby thinks it's funny. He's not cold, just me. Just like in the heat and humidity of summer he complains about the humidity, but I don't feel it. I love summer! He loves fall. Today is our 37th wedding anniversary! Somehow we are still together, having different favourite seasons!

Here is my desk this morning. I was making a Belated Birthday card for a dear friend. It looks very neat. I must have put everything away! I'm letting the glitter dry overnight.

I also made hubby's Anniversary Card yesterday:

I finished the project of the Month for my Marjie Kemper group this week, using Oxides:

And I finally finished unmounting and storing all my mounted and clear stamps! I have well over 1000 stamps, and remember almost all of them! I've never bought a stamp I already have!

They are, as you can see, divided into topics.(The one that says Photos is Words #3) I don't really care what company they are from, I like to mix and match my stamps, but if I know where they are from I write it on the paper that covers the stamp. I was making my own pocket pages until my sewing machine gave out, and now I'm using bought pocket pages that fit most stamps except the really big ones, I use photo pockets for those. I needed something to give strength to the pockets, so they are stapled onto magnetic picture pages that I also cut up and use to stick the stamps onto. This one is brown, most are white.

So with that finally done, I can buy new stamps! Yay!

Fall means bringing the indoor plants back indoors, sadly (for the plants, they love being outside!). My hibiscus grew like crazy, so Hubby pruned it so it would fit in the house, but at the end of almost every branch, was a bud! Some of you may remember a few years ago I was moaning that this plant hadn't flowered in 20 years. The secret is fertilizer! Hibiscus plants love fertilizer! Anyway, I put all the branches in a vase, hoping that all those wonderful buds will bloom. I'm crossing my fingers!

And here are the plants back in the Living room, it's like a Tropical Forest!

Hopefully the cats will enjoy the plants over the winter a much as we will.

Well that's it for today, we are off to see a play tonight in celebration of our Anniversary! Mittsy and Inky say "meow" and I day have a great week!

Happy Wednesday! Time to see what's on everyone's desk today! This has been a lovely week for me, we had Thanksgiving on Sunday, and my DD and Granddaughter are staying until tomorrow. It has been so wonderful to get to know Jasper! So I haven't got much done in my Art Room, but I did manage to sneak in there once, anyway!

And I made these little circle tags

That's about it! The rest of the time was family time!

Both cats were very curios about Jasper, stayed close by but far enough away not to disrupt. Mittsy was brave enough to come close enough for a sniff, but usually just sat back and watched her.

That's it for today! Have a great week! Mittsy and Inky say "meow!"

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello to everyone out in cyberland! I hope you are all well, and starting to enjoy the Fall (or Spring) season! This weekend is our Thanksgiving, and since everyone is vaccinated we are so happy to be hosting it this year! We haven't had a proper Thanksgiving for a couple of years now, so this will be awesome! There are only 6 of us (plus little Jasper), so well under the limit of 25 in Ontario.

So this week, here is my desk:

I am making "things that will fit in my hand" for my Marjie Kemper challenge this month, starting off with tickets and coins. I will either make a ton of these, or choose something else that will fit in my hand...

It's the first week of October, here is the view from my Office window, and a bunch of garden pics:

My cherry tomato plants were prolific this year, but now their time is up...

My hibiscus has been blooming all summer, and there are still little buds on the end of each branch! This is from a plant that only flowered a couple of times in the last 2 years, after 20 years of no flowers! I think it must be happy now...we will need to bring this massive plant indoors soon...

And this one is still going strong, I can't remember the name but it has been super prolific all summer, and is a tropical plant, so either  I bring it in over the winter, or let it die...seems so mean...but have so few windows in our house! And it's so big!

And yes, the leaves are indeed starting to fall...

The cats are still happy to go out, the temperatures aren't a lot cooler, and they are probably a lot more comfortable. They do like to drop in from time to time throughout the day so say "hi!". They get a good brushing every evening, especially since SIL is allergic to cats, I'm trying to keep the hair down as much as possible. They love it!

Here is Inky in her favourite spot...

While Mittsy is "out and about!"

I hope everyone has a lovely week, and that all my Canadian friends have a wonderful holiday. Stay safe! Inky and Mittsy say "meow"!
