WOYWW #438

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Another very busy day, late getting to my blog! It has started to cool down a little bit here in Eastern Ontario, but last night we were walking around in T-shirts still! Crazy weather! It is often very cold by this time, with frosts!

Here is my desk this morning. Not a lot different from last week's as I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to my journal, but I did get a little bit done to it. Hopefully I will have more time this week!

Playing with my gelli plate! Starting to get the hang of it! Lots more to learn though!

We had our 33rd wedding Anniversary last Friday - here's the card I made for hubby!

Also some sketching:

This is my view, sitting in bed watching TV, of the wall in front of me. The bird is part of the wooden lamp.

We had a lovely "fakesgiving", our version of a late Thanksgiving when everyone could get together! And the next day we went for a drive.

Amazingly, we were able to have our apps on the porch!!

Appetizers!

My Mom and Step-Dad

 Spicy Moroccan Peanut Butter-Tomato Soup!

My DD, me, and my niece in the background! (she made the delicious soup!)

Sketching on the dock
The 3 of us!

Well that's it for today, a hearty "meow" from Inky (no she did not drink the wine!) - she's only allowed on the table when there is no one at the table, in case you were wondering!

I hope everyone has a great week ahead, sorry if I can't get to everyone these days, my time seems to be limited! I will certainly get back to those who leave a comment, and to all whose number includes an 9, since I will be #29!

WOYWW #437

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I'm very late today, just got off my shift at work (which is going better!). We are going to be celebrating our Thanksgiving on the weekend, as DD was in California during the real Thanksgiving weekend. It will be a short post this week, as I haven't had a lot of time to do very much!

My desk this morning, started a new page last night. Also made a birthday card for a mother of a friend who is turning 99!

And last week's journal page, with my favourite "Artisto App" rendition of it! I was hoping the letters looked like bones!

Beautiful, sunny, very warm October day - Inky is nowhere to be seen! I don't blame her. . .! She'll come by later when I'm sitting on the porch with my wine!

Well that's all for me today, probably won't get around to visiting until tomorrow! Have a great week everyone!

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! Today is a cold October rainy day in Ontario, the leaves are turning, but the temperatures are going up and down like a yo-yo! Yesterday was sunny and very warm, up to 20C! We BBQ'd last night (my hubby is very picky about his BBQ weather, has to be perfect, no BBQing in the snow for him!) Last weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada, but since our daughter was in California, we are postponing it for 2 weeks when we can all be together.

Here is my desk this morning:

It was such a busy week, I didn't get much done with my book (The Art of Whimsical Lettering By Joanna Sharpe) except playing with my own handwriting. One of our deskers wondered if she could join the fun of working through a book (I think she has this one) I think that would be awesome! If anyone else wants to join, please feel free! Essentially I'm choosing one book a month, and choosing the pages I want to work with, nothing organized, so if you would like to join, it would be great to see what your interpretations are too! If you don't have the book, try your local library.

I have started a new journal, I have the itch to go back to drawing and keeping kind of a daily/weekly journal, not too specific, but I do want to get back into sketching. So I bought 2 Craftsy courses and have been working through those as well.

Last weekend my hubby and I went on a day trip to see the leaves, do some shopping and enjoy a great meal. Here is what I did in my new journal:

So that's it for this week, short and sweet,
Here is a pic of Inky, in her fav spot in our bedroom window, made artsy by my new fav app called artisto! How cool is that!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

WOYWW #435

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

We have been having the loveliest Fall weather so far, except for today, the first overcast day in about a week. Hope you all are enjoying your Fall (or Spring?) weather as well!

Here was my desk first thing this morning:

I have chosen to work with Joanne Sharpe's book "The Art of Whimsical Lettering" this month. I have such a huge stash of art books, and I've never really done more than glance at the pages. I am hoping to choose one book a month to play with!

This is what I've done so far:

More writing/drawing than I am used to! But I am enjoying it.

As far as my job goes, I did not quit, but they did allow me to reduce my hours to no more than 4, which at least makes it bearable until I can find something else! Here is my journal take on my job:

Now, there's lots of plants and things coming up, if you want to stop here, that's fine!

Here is my Fall garden:
still blooming!

Morning Glories did not do well this summer - too much rain?

The lettuce has been replaced with these! So pretty! I think I can plat this in my perennial garden. . .

Looking a little sad - I weeded it. Needs more fall flowers!

The last of the Cherry Tomatoes!

Indoor plants are back indoors and pruned - they were wild!

does anyone know what this is? The florist said it was a Lime Tree - those red berries do not look like limes to me!

And finally, Inky has now been successfully "treat-trained" to a new kitty bed on my night table next to our bed. She now sleeps there every night for a few hours. It took about 4 weeks to train her!

It is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, we are going to have a "fake Thanksgiving" this year (as my DD calls it) later in the month because she and her boyfriend are off having adventures in California at the moment! They are off to a wedding in Los Angeles, driving from San Francisco along the coast, camping and surfing along the way. Oh to be young again!

Thanks for looking, hopefully I will get to more desks this week!
