WOYWW #673

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. We were very happy to have our daughter and granddaughter home for Easter, but hubby got a severe gout (we think) attack on Easter Sunday, which sent him to bed as he couldn't put any weight on it at all. We were at emerg that night until 3:30am, with no diagnosis except that it could be gout. He's been in bed in excruciating pain ever since, and I have been his nursemaid (something I was not really cut out for, but doing my best!). I got the kids home to Toronto OK. Someone is coming to take his blood tomorrow so hopefully we can tell more what's happening. So needless to say, I haven't been much in the mood for anything "normal" lately, and I missed last week's WOYWW, but I have been in my art room a couple of times over the last two weeks.

Here it is this morning:

And some of the art journal pages from the last few weeks:

And, Easter pics! Even though hubby was bedridden, we continued on, and had my niece over for Easter dinner as planned, and the Easter Bunny came as he does every year!

We had a lovely array of appetizers, charcuterie is our favourite!

And then Easter dinner - bacon wrapped ham, scalloped potatoes and green beans Almondine. My niece brought cute Easter cupcakes for dessert. Jasper loved her Easter Basket and her giant Easter Bunny! Jasper is now crawling everywhere!

Mittsy kept a close eye on everyone from her perch!

Earlier that day we went on a walk in the woods, saw lots of Canada Geese and Mallard ducks in the water. It was a lovely day!

Well, that part of April was lovely, full of great memories, and now we are here, I'm looking after my bedridden hubby who I hope will heal quickly enough to be able to go to Jasper's 1st birthday party in May.

I hope everyone has a great week, I will now go and catch up on all that I have missed! Inky and Mittsy say "Meow!"

Hello everyone! It's a rainy spring day here, but still cold, about 9°C, but the cats are outside more now that the birds are back! Don't worry, they just like to watch them!

Here is my desk this morning, still playing with paints and flowers!

I have made a couple of pages this week, some are not finished yet, but I also made a birthday card for my SIL:

I also enclosed a package of Sunflower seeds for him and Jasper to plant together in their garden

This is a tulip page I did on black gesso

Inky had her annual visit to the vet last week, she's always the model patient, they love her there!

That's it for this week, short and sweet! I hope everyone is doing well out there. My Mom got Covid last week but seems to be handling it well, the symptoms aren't too bad, and hopefully she will recover soon. Have a great week, Inky and Mittsy say "Meow!"

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone! We are enjoying a lovely Spring morning this morning, but tonight we be getting a ton of rain. Good for the flowers!

Here is my desk from yesterday morning:

I bought a couple of new journals and this is one of them. it is smaller than the one I was working on before. You can see my desk is filling up with paints and gesso and stuff, paintbrushes, water jar, paper plate palettes, I'm running out of room!

I did a journal page in what Suzanne Allard called the "Mexican" style because of all the bright colours:

And I have a limited amount of bright colours to work with. It was a playful page, not something I really like.

Here is the page I was working on when I took the photo of my desk, almost finished...

And with a few little tweaks, finished.

I'm slowly getting the hang of this!

Here are a couple of backgrounds in my larger journal waiting for some love:

As always, I can't wait to see what manifests itself onto these pages! Right now they look dark and troubled...

Here are my DD and my Granddaughter hamming it up, I'm sure we will see lots of these types of photos from them, as my DD loves to ham it up! They are so cute!

And Inky looking very serious as she is watching me on the computer. Both cats have been popping in and out much more lately as the weather has been getting nicer. I haven't seen any foxes yet!

We wish everyone a lovely Spring (or Fall) week, and hope you can get outdoors to smell the air and feel the sun! Inky and Mittsy say "meow" and I say "Have a great week!"
