WOYWW #507

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! This will be a quick post, as I have to meet my mother for lunch very soon!
Here is my desk this morning. We were away in Montreal this weekend, so I really haven't done much this week, but I do have a couple of things to show. My desk this morning:

The card I made using my new 3-D Texture Fade Embossing folder

My journal page from Carol Dube's prompt "rectangles". I did "found poetry" using a TH  booklet of phrases. Here are the doors closed. . .
and opened. The poem starts at the top with My Sweetheart, then in door #1 The big moon shines in the sky. THE STARS ARE ALWAYS SHINING.
Door #2: I dream of stars that glitter by the light of the moon Door #3:And voices soft and sweet. Remind me of the happiness... no regret
at the bottom: For thy sweet love rememb'red

We went to Montreal on the weekend! This is pretty much what the stairs looked like leading up to my BIL's house!
One of the best parts was visiting Duc de Lorraine, a fantastic pastry shop!

Oh my - so hard to choose! But I did and it was delicious!

So that's it for me today, the cats are snoozing somewhere in the house, they did not kill each other while we were away (whew!). Hope you all have a wonderful week!

WOYWW #506

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello to everyone! I hope you are all well and happy! Here is my desk this morning:

Still looking fairly neat and tidy! Journal page in the making...here is what it looks like behind me...

quite a different story!

Yesterday was my mother's 83rd birthday, I made this card for her, using a new stamp set:

We had a big snowstorm yesterday, 35cm predicted, but this is all we got:

only about 10cm. Regardless of the snow, Inky had to get outside for a few minutes, but soon wanted back in. . .

Mittsy wants to get out there so badly! Nope...

Here is Mittsy's favourite perch, I have had to remove everything from the top of this cabinet as it all hit the floor at some time. She runs across the top of a love seat, across the top of the couch, across the top of my chair, and lands on this cabinet, screeching to a stop just as her feet reach the edge, all at full speed! So much fun to watch! I have also had to remove everything from our dining room table, as it all ends up on the floor too!

Inky and Mittsy are getting along better each week, although cuddling and grooming each other hasn't happened yet!

Here's hoping you have a wonderful week, and the kitties say "meow"!

PS: regarding my pigment inks, the consensus was almost equal in keeping or getting rid of, so I am boxing them up, and will see if  I use them at all by next January. If not, I will donate them. Thanks for your input!

WOYWW #505

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! Yesterday was my 14th Blogiversary! Wow! It's fun to look back over those 14 years and see how much I've grown over those years!

I hope everyone is keeping warm, we just went through a "February Thaw", but winter will come back with a vengeance!

Here is my desk this morning:

I actually have been busy, made 3 journal pages this week, two in my art journal, and one in my junk journal:

This looks like I spent hours and hours working on this, but it's actually 2 long stamps by colourbox, not really meant to be used as a stamp, but as a spot to make impressions with a colourbox tool, you heat the pad, press it onto the rubber to get an impression, then use that as a stamp. I didn't do that. I did however, buy a whole new set of markers as I was going though my Marvy Markers to see which were good, and which were not - forget this, I'm going to just get a new set of markers from Amazon - they arrived the next morning! And I threw out all my old markers.

This one started with a Carol Dube prompt (she does a weekly prompt, I am way behind!) The prompt was "do something twice", so everything I did, other than the words, I did twice. I used my new TH time stencil for this.

And some catching up in my junk journal:
...at least until the film ran out for my printer, have to get some more! It's amazing how, when I pre-prep pages, it just all works out. I pre-prepped the half-circle page a month ago, not having a clue what it would be, then realized yesterday that the 25 was highlighted. . .

And last but not least, the kitties. . .

Mittsy was dying to get outside, so I caved and got her a harness and a leash, she loves going out! She even loves walking through the snow!

Look how big she is! Almost the same size as Inky!

We hope everyone has a wonderful week, I'm off to work now, the kitties are napping, life is good.
