WOYWW #434

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello from Ontario, where we are having a heat wave!  Leave it to us to have the hottest time of the year so far in the fall. Hopefully it will be over tonight (so they say).

Many thanks to all who commented last week when I couldn't (although I think I returned all the comments!) I'm hoping this week will be better. My job is not going well, I think I will resign tomorrow, it is just physically too demanding for me. I guess at my age I need a mostly sit down job!

Anyway, here is my desk this morning:

I was challenged to make a journal page with what was on my desk at the moment

Below is the finished page from last week. I had a hard time with it, my creative mojo seemed to have left me as exhaustion, sore feet and sore back took over. But it's not terrible. My new page (above) seems a little more uplifting, but that's after 2 days at home. . .

Ever wonder where Inky is when I'm in my stamping room? (I'm sure you do!) Right here, waiting patiently for me to finish so she can follow me to wherever I am going next (and hoping I will open the front door and let her out!) When she is impatient, she let's me know!
By the way, last week, after I posted my blog, I went out to call her one last time, and she came a running!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, thanks for peeking at my blog!

WOYWW #433

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! Today will be short and sweet - I start a new job today! Hopefully I won't have to give up posting on my blog because of it!

Here is my desk this morning:

This is the result of last week's unfinished page:

I took this photo at a farmers market several years ago, a Mennonite father and son. I've always wanted to use it in something!

And here is a digital collage that I did with the same picture:

Lastly, you know it's Fall when. . .

the squirrels start hiding these things! We have found a few!

So I am off to new adventures, I will try to get to as many as I can when I get home! Inky isn't coming when I call her at the moment (bad girl - she most know I have to leave!), so I will say goodbye alone today! Have a great week!

WOYWW #432

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Whovever sent the lovely sunny weather with no rain - thank you! It's finally warming up again and we are getting gorgeous late summer days!

Here is my desk this morning - I never change anything when I take my pic on Wednesday morning, and usually have forgotten what my desk looks like when I walk in! Here it is, just click on the photos, all explained on the photos:

I have been playing with the mop up paper towel from a few weeks ago. I decided to photocopy it!

This one I added some Oxide Distress ink to

My last journal page, using the tissue paper technique:
And if you haven't quite gotten pic overload, here is my September garden~

I'm glad I planted these impatiens in the pots, worked very well!

I cut down all my geraniums in August when it was looking ratty, and now look!

This perennial bed is looking a little scruffy, that's because I need to get in there and trim off dead flowers and weed! But otherwise I'm very happy with it - I even have a poppy bloom!

Here's to a lovely week 3 of September (isn't it going by fast?)
one of my canvases!

Inky is surveying her territory, so I will say "bye!" and have a wonderful week!

WOYWW #431

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Here we are in September already! And someone told the weather it was FALL!! NO it's NOT! We should still have summer weather for a whole month yet! Oh well, maybe it will come back. . .hope you all still have your summer!

Here is my desk this morning:

Still unmounting my stamps! But look at the progress!

I have had to clear the next shelf for more binders! And look at what I still need to do:

These are the rest of the boxes of mounted stamps.

Here is the pile of stamps I am currently unmounting:
These filled up one of the large boxes!

I have a journal page to show you, I am working from a book called "The Mixed-Media Artist" by Seth Apter (and Seth actually commented on it when I put it my FB group!!). I used his technique on pages 166-117 for this page:

The background technique is 4 layers, and you can just see layer two peeking through - I used an embossing folder on gesso to make the subtle pattern:

This page pairs up with the page I made for Texas:

I suppose next week I will be making a page for Florida  😟

I've asked Inky if she wants to go outside again - she says "it's too cold!" We both hope you have a lovely week with lots of sunshine (and if you do, send some our way please!)
