WOYWW #586

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I hope today is finding everyone well and in good spirits!

Here is my desk this morning:

I have been working on a couple things this week, one is something called "clusters". I used the "one page" method where you build all the clusters on one piece of paper, then tear around each one. Then I sewed across each one.

which is just a way to use up all the scraps that are generated by making junk journals, and are used like this on a journal page:

I am also coffee dying paper as I was running out from last year's supply. I do it outside and let it air dry.

I also dyed envelopes - note: be sure you open them up before dying! I forgot and frantically had to open them all up, most were OK, but some had already sealed shut!

Big step for me yesterday - eating lunch at a restaurant! My friend and I went to a place right on the water and ate on their patio, it was lovely! Perfect weather, beautiful view, almost felt "normal"!

This is on the St. Lawrence River in Ontario, Canada. It's the home of the Thousand Islands!

That's it for me today! Inky and Mittsy are happily sitting in the chairs on the porch, watching "cat TV". They both say "meow" to you all! I say have a great week! Take care!

WOYWW #585

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well, we are slowly getting back to normal here as far as health goes, thankfully! Here is hubby coming back from a doctor's appointment! He can drive now! Yay!

So things are improving! But he's getting all his beautiful covid hair cut next week. :-(

Here is my desk:

I'm trying another envelope journal, this one is pretty tiny. I fell in love with my last envelope journal that I thought I would be able to sell, but now I can't bear to let it go. So I'm trying again, and will try to not put quite so much of "myself" in it. This one is smaller as well, and quicker to make.

My latest journal (the one I can't sell!):

I gave you some sneak peeks last week, and now it's quite different. I tried sewing around the pages, but my machine just keeps jamming so I gave up.

That's it! I'll show the new one next week.

I will leave you with this poster, but I don't know who made it, I just like it!

Inky and Mittsy say "meow", and I say "have a great week!"

WOYWW #584

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! I totally missed last week's post, I think I realized it sometime on Thursday...oh well, so today I'm starting writing my post on Monday, hoping it will be done by Tuesday so I can post on Wednesday. I have realized that I just can't do my posts on Wednesday since I have to be out of the house by 10:15 am, there's just no time. And since  my Cloud is acting up again, my photos aren't showing up. Again.  Anyway, here goes.

My desk today (actually yesterday...)

The zipper pull is for my Mother of the Bride dress that I bought, not realizing until I got home that I couldn't actually do the zipper by myself, and what that would mean! I found this blingy wrist strap at Micheal's, and the wheels started turning...success!

I'm still working on the new journal that ha an envelope as a cover. Here are a few pages:

Almost done!

Update on Hubby:

He is finally, after a month in bed, able to get up and get back to normal (such as it is). His poor little legs have lost a lot of weight and muscle so he will have to build that up again, and get his new knees working properly. It was such an awful setback (the infection), it took a lot out of both of us, but things are looking up.

Garden:

My first (and maybe last!) tomato from my tomato plant.

And finally, here's Inky

and Mittsy,

wishing you all a wonderful week, as do I. We have doctor's appointments today and tomorrow, so I probably won't be able to get back to you until Friday...

or two...
