WOYWW #591

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

It's the last day of September, the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are just starting to turn. Summer is over. Or on it's way in for our friends in Australia!

Here was my desk yesterday afternoon:

not too bad, there's stuff under that sheet of paper though! I still have to bind and finish this new journal.

Here's another pic of the happy couple -it shows their true nature! (if you missed pics of the wedding, they are in last weeks blog post!)

I did go on a card making binge this week:

Some Lavinia stamps...

This was just a picture of a window I had...

Playing with oxide inks and background stamps...

I think the background is Hero Arts, and maybe Stampendous for the stamp...

I think she is Paper Artsy, background is Hero Arts, the words are Viva las Vegas

I think this background is also Hero Arts, the stamp is Dina Wakely

Another Lavinia stamp - I love this dragon! I want more dragons! I did this on coffee dyed paper sprayed with Dylusions while still wet. Made a very neat effect! (I used the same paper for the other Lavinia cards)

and here is the inside of the dragon card

Mittsy and Inky...

I was a bit worried about Inky, but she has finally settled back to normal. It took almost a whole week...

                                                               Contented!

And Mittsy is up to her usual shenanigans, only took about a day!

Well, that's it for me. We have a road trip today to Prince Edward County to return some furniture used at the wedding. Should be a beautiful trip!

WOYWW #590

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I hear that the UK is having covid-19 surges again, I hope everyone can stay safe, wear your masks, and carry on! I think a second wave is due for everyone, so we all need to stay vigilant.

I did not post last week because I was in Toronto getting ready for my daughter's wedding! The wedding was on Friday, a beautiful day (but got very cold as the day went into night, the wedding and reception were outside!)

But first things first, here was my desk yesterday afternoon, as I left it last week:

Working on my scroll, and making the sculpy tags for the macrames. There were several trials, until we finally hit on the perfect tag! The tag is edged in gold, and on the back is their initials and the date. All the men got leaves pointing to the right, the ladies got leaves pointing to the left, and on the back, the leaves are crossed!

I can also now show you the big project I was making for the wedding. I was going to keep it a secret until the day, but we ended up talking about it as becoming part of the ceremony, and she loved it! The large tag at the top has their names and date of the wedding. It fit perfectly for their Boho wedding!!

Here they are getting married. The efficient was at the side which is why they were looking sideways.

Then the "altar" was brought into the reception area, an open but enclosed area. You can see the one of the buntings I made from the extra small hangings (there were supposed to be 120 people at the wedding, but we only needed 20 small hangings)

Here is the place setting with the small hangings, everyone had one at their spot.

It got very cold as the night went on, and as we were outside, they set up heaters in the space, but there was also this! We all ended up in this area at the end!

The food was incredible, the people, all close friends and family, were wonderful. They zoomed the wedding so others could watch as well. All in all it was a terrific, wonderful, exciting, and memorable wedding!

So that's it for me. Inky and Mittsy spent 5 days at the "Whisker's Inn", Mittsy did well, and bounced back right away when we got home, but I think Inky was traumatized. She's still recovering. Hopefully will be completely back to her old self in a day or so.

Have a great week! Stay safe!

WOYWW #588

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well today. I managed to clean off my desk this weekend, so I have a place to work!

Here is my desk this morning:

You can see that I have started working on a scroll book, using the two macrame tubes from last week! It's almost done, so I should be able to show you next week.

I have also been working on making salt dough ornaments for the wedding, to put on the macrame ornaments. They will serve as placecards.

It's been a busy week, I'm trying to get back into the routine of cleaning a room everyday, but since it's been awhile (I hate cleaning) the rooms are taking a long time. Today is hallway, stairs and bathroom. Yuk. Although I do swipe the bathroom everyday.

Since we will be away for the wedding, I decided I didn't want anyone traipsing through the house while we were gone (pandemic and all) I have decided to board the cats for the first time. I found a really cute place called "Whiskers Inn" which is out in the country, and has large "rooms" as well as outdoor and indoor free space. I'm hoping Mittsy and Inky can share without killing each other! So I will be going out there this afternoon to check it out. Maybe they will take photos for me and then I can share!

So that's it for today, very short and sweet!

Meow to all from the mini-panthers, and I hope everyone has a lovely week!

WOYWW #587

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings to everyone! I hope everyone is doing well, and things are getting more "back to normal". It is difficult, with our new "normal", but hopefully everyone is coping OK.

I haven't been in my craft room at all this week, except to add things to my desk.

I have added a new stamp set that should be fun in my journals, and some Alcohol lift-ink, something to play with!

but I haven't been totally idle, I experimented with adding colour to my coffee dyed papers:

which I thought turned out well, I want to make more!

And I've been getting ready for my daughter's wedding ...She's having a "boho-style" wedding, and I have made little macrame "hangings" to go on each plate, they will also serve as name tags when I make the little salt dough circles to attach to them...

and with the leftover hangings (originally there were to be 120 guests) I made these buntings to decorate the venue...

My macrame cord came on one of these:

I almost threw the empty spools away when I suddenly got a thought...what do you think I can do with these?:

Maybe next week I can show you what my thought was!

Hubby and I made it all the way to the lake this morning - about double what he has been walking for the past few weeks! Yay!

So that's it for me. Inky and Mittsy are still living the "good life"! They say "Meow" and I say "have a great week!"

Still my favourite poster!
