WOYWW #759

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Well, it's the last Wednesday before Christmas! If anyone else is like me, I haven't even looked at my desk in the past week. I have been too busy doing this...

Anyone want a MOUSE or two? I have had 3 mice at different times (this is the second time we had to do this) jump out at me while cleaning out the mess they made. They even ate through my Tetra Boxes of broth and almond milk!

And once that was cleared up and traps set, I managed to do this:

as well as chocolate Spritz cookies which was pretty much a disaster. Anyway, I'm sure you were all busy baking and /or eating yummy things as well!

My DD took my Granddaughter Jasper to see Santa...

I have the feeling she said "sit in your lap? I don't think so!"

Here are the 2 handmade Christmas cards I received this week from good friends of mine:

From Marg who loves Lavinia stamps...

And from Therese, I love this impressed snowflake!

Anyone else have cats who like to take ornaments off the tree? Hubby came up with this brilliant idea when I had removed all the ornaments from the bottom foot or so of the tree:

Those are all their cat toys! Now when I come down in the morning it's just the cat toys on the floor!

Have a wonderful Christmas full of Joy, friends and family!

Lovely pics of Jasper, that’s what Christmas is all about! I’m so pleased you’ve been having a great time with the exception of the mice, what a pain, I hope you manage to get it sorted. Let the cats have an explore of the cupboards, their scent might put the mice off!

I'm late calling in cos I had a surprise customer this morning who wanted 7 memory bears making before Christmas!!! Hense I've been head down sewing all day and hope to finish them off tomorrow as I am out tonight at Sam's singing concert [He's singing a duet with a little 9 yr old little girl so will be taking my tissues ].
I'm doing a flying visit today to wish everyone a very happy Christmas. Hope to 'see' you all after the festivities.

What fabulous photos of Jasper Linda. Hope you have solved your mouse problem. A tree isn't a tree without a furry! Glad they don't go to the top though. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Merry Christmas and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

OMGee we've been through the mouse stuff too, but never so close to a holiday that requires lots of baking, argh! You dealt and recovered really well. Like you I've done bags of baking, 5 dozen mince pies, three Christmas cakes, a heap of Biscotti and some fudge and chutney. I think discovering mice would have finished me this week! Sweet Jasper is growing so fast Linda, those lovely shiny shoes...how I loved having a little girl to dress. Or is that how I loved having control?!!! Absolutely genius idea with the cats toys, wow, I don't have cats but am bowled over by the simplicity of the solution to a conundrum that I see all over my friends houses!! Happy Christmas to you and yours xxxxx

So sorry to read about the mice! Eek! and with two cats in the house! they must breed tough ones where you are from.
Joking apart i hope you are mouse free now.

I hope you are mouse free for Christmas, they must hide in the cupboard where the cats can’t get in. Your baking looks delicious. Have a great Christmas. Happy WOYWW. Angela #18

I'm a bit late getting round today as we've been to pick up a new car this afternoon. That's a clever idea with the cat toys unfortunately it wouldn't have worked with a cat my friend had as all he wanted to do was climb to the top to get at the fairy. Hope you get rid of the mice, smelly little creatures. Not sure that Jasper was very keen on Santa! I mean who would be very keen on an old man in a red coat saying "come and sit on my knee" Lol! Wishing you a very happy woyww Christmas. Angela x11x

You would think with cats the mice would stay away, but no. Genius idea to put all the cat toys on the bottom branches - does it work? Lucky for us Poppy sits on he cat tree in reach of the Xmas tree and never bothers it a bit. Loving all your baking - no disaster I can see - I have a lot of baking today too (or at least pie making and some cheesecake bars! and your Granddaughter is looking lovely. Neither of my kids were keen on sitting on Santa's lap. A good healthy consideration of strangers is a good thing!
Happy Christmas WOYWW!

Love the cat toy hack!! The Santa grotto looks lovely though I have to admit the whole sit on my lap thing is a bit creepy, and not a bad thing I guess. I am sadly lacking in the baking department but hope to rectify that tomorrow!! Those cookies look lovely! Gotta love a handmade card! Hope you've got all the mice, Merry Christmas, love n hugs Cindyxx #10
(Lionel is gorgeous isn't he? Went over for a quick cuddle and squish this morning - love him to bits!!)

Oh what a nuisance having to deal with the mice just before Christmas. You've made some very tasty looking goodies and that's a brilliant idea for the tree ornaments. I love the photos of your granddaughter - what a cutie she is. Hope you have a lovely Christmas.
