It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.
Happy June! another favourite month! The trees and bushes are flowering and sending their scent wafting on the breeze! We have big Lilacs, and a Weigela right beside our porch that smells incredible!
and our wacky Crab Apple right in front of our porch. The flowers drop so quickly, we only have a few days to enjoy!
Here is my desk this morning:
Not much on here! To the left you can see something that looks like piano keys. This is something I need to make to help me with learning my chords. It's by Mat Creedon called the "Easy Key". I just have to put it together then I can let you know if it is helping!
I started working on my Mom's next Spirit Journal page, all I had at first was the washi tape border. When she pulled her Oracle card it was about mirror images - so I added the faces.
What I had pre-done was perfect! Here is where I am now, in the thinking stage of what will happen next!
I'm also getting interested in Crystals, and how they work. Anyone here using crystals?
I started a course called Love Your (Imperfect) Letters by Willa Wanders. We started with 7 days of letter drills:
Here is what I'm working on now, finding different ways to make each letter:
This part is quite fun!
Thats it for me today, we have beautiful weather, not too hot, just right. I hope the heat has left you alone this past week!

Your garden looks glorious. I love lettering, so the course you're taking sounds like something right up my alley. Happy WOYWW!
Oh lilac - one of my favourite scents - I have the essential oil of it actually - came across that at a craft retreat with my last church some years ago, delightful. Super start to the mirror image pages. I don't really do oracles or crystals but I do love you artwork. All the best with the lettering. I tried a course some time ago and never got on with it. I tend to push down when I ought to be lifting off and vice versa, it was so unnatural for me. Oh and I am having thoughts of some embroidery on my plain black harp cover - it has red ribbon ties so some red embroidery doodles would be cool. It's cooled down considerably here thank the Lord so I am functioning again. Hugs Bj#4
It's lovely to see the early summer colours in the garden. I love lilac. Your letter patterns must take lots of patience. x x Jo 🌈
the crab apple looks lovely! the mirror image faces on the journal are just perfect! Happy WOYWW Helen #1
Love to see your lilacs, weigela and crab apple, we have those here too but in May! Your mirror image faces were meant to be, they’re lovely and I do love a letter practise sheet, they’re very satisfying!
Hugs LLJ 2 xx
You're right June is a nice month, everything seems to come to life. We have lilacs and they are so pretty. You do look busy so much going on. I like the journal page with the faces, very clever. Dear Inky, cats just don't care about your stuff! The weather has calmed down a bit here as it was very hot last week. Happy woyww with hugs Angela x10x
Such a glorious scented garden. I dabble a bit in crystals and am much attached to my Blue John stone from the Peak District. I might look up what they mean now and then but I’m far from expert.
I love how Inky wanted to join in! Bella sends purrs to Inky and Mittsy.
Have a good week

What a lovely array of flowering trees and bushes in your garden Linda. The lettering looks fun to try and your Mum's journal is fabulous. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ooh love the smell of lilac, as you say June is a great month. Interesting makes and the lettering too (as a left handed crafter my writing is NOT tidy). Kyla
I am just back from the weekend away at a Celtic Music Festival - very little internet! Happy belated WOYWW Susan #13! Love those mirror images - look forward to how the pages develop. Also interested by your letter drills!
Good morning
Love the flowers. I'd love to have a new lilac bush. My favorite is the Cherry Blossom bush, which the wile honeysuckle roots have crawled under the ground from the south fence and taken over. I've been pulling it out for weeks. I'm hoping it hasn't killed the bush.
I haven't pulled my oracle or tarot cards out in ages. My plan is to have my tarot journal put together in time for Summer Solstice. here's hoping.
Creative Blessings & Hugs!
