It is a lovely fall morning, all the snow is gone!!

I wasn't in my art room this week, so not much to show, but here is my desk this morning, I am working on a paper doll.

Here she is, not quite finished, but I was trying a technique that Megan Quinlan was showing on YT to do the face. Trace the face area first with a pencil, then mix up the skin colour with watercolours and paint the face. You don't have to be neat (you can see I went out beyond the face), just get the colour on smoothly, and let it dry. Then put on the features and trace the pencil marks with black ink. This way, if you mess up the face, you haven't messed up the whole thing and you can start again with a new one. Great advice!

Grumpy cat is happier this week...

the snow is gone!! But the temperatures have gone way down (-6°C) and Inky is not happy.

Hello! We had a surprise the other day...

Grumpy Cat was not happy, neither were Inky and Mittsy! It has snowed even more over the past 2 days, but rain is expected, and we are hoping it will all disappear!

Here is my desk this morning:

I did make two journal pages, and a bunch of leaves and trees...

The little fox is hiding! The stencil is from Megan Quinlan and the little fox is my own handmade stamp!

You can see some of the leaves and a tree that I made this week, the rest are tucked away in my Fodder Book for later.

Well, that's it for me, short and sweet. I apologise that I did not get to anyone this past week, but I will this week coming up!

Happy November! I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! It was freezing here, pouring rain, and we still got 38 kids! And now it November...anyone have their Christmas Tree up yet?

 Every Saturday I have lunch with my mother at a local Vietnamese restaurant...yum! She's 90 years old!

 I didn't do anything notable this week, so all I have to share is my desk. I am in the midst of a little project which I will show next week.

If you remember, last week I was running out of space for my Posca Paint Pens and markers which shared the same holder. Also my black drawing pens were overflowing their little space. So this is the solution so far, and so far it seems to be working.

Now you might have noticed Grumpy Cat in each of these pics. I really like Grumpy Cat and thought I would start a daily (or semi-daily) Instagram post of what Grumpy Cat and I are doing, and where we are going (no big International trips here!). I thought it might be fun. We will see!

I do have a question. I often use (or try to use) Aileen's Tacky Glue, but I have a very hard time getting the glue out once I've used it, and always have. I tend to use up about 1/4 of the bottle then throw it out when I can't get any more glue out. I've tried clearing the nozzle with a long pick, needles, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Or maybe a glue that does work everytime? I see people using the little bottles with the long noses a lot, should I transfer my glue into one of those? Would it work any better? TIA.

Here are Jasper and her Dad cutting their Halloween Jack-O-Lantern. Last year Jamie did most of the pumkpin while Jasper lost interest. I think she had a bit more interest this year!

I hope everyone has a fun Halloween! Last night at choir our section (the "Lows") put on a skit to the song "Everyone's Gone to the Moon"!

Every thing is really beautiful now, the trees are bright and glorious all around us! I have seen the most beautiful oranges and red and yellows, all combined on one tree! And Floribunda Roses sre still bright and colorful. it is just now getting cold in the mornings, but it still warms up in the afternoon.  Inky doesn't care about the cold, but Mittsy refuses to go out in it!

Not much on it! I had just finished the Anniversary Card I made for hubby for our 41st Anniversary yesterday. Here it is:

He liked it, and gave me a very soppy romantic card in return❤️

I made 2 journal pages this week, this one I had started last week:

And for this one I used the stencil I made of Jasper when she was little:

She's now a potion seller! I need to make more Jasper stencils...if only I could remember how I made this one!

I have a bit of a problem beside me at my desk...

Too many pens and markers! I was keeping my Posca Pens standing up in the second container with some markers, but it got so that I couldn't jam them in anymore...so I tried putting them in the basket beside my black pens...too small! So hopefully I will have the solution next week!

I spent most of last week working on the purple rectangle, but did get a few things done. Here is my desk on Tuesday afternoon:

I did manage to use most of the pieces I made last week like this:

The above little book was made for me several years ago, and is very small!

On Saturday we went on our annual "Fall Leaf Tour", which always ends up at a German restaurant called Maximillians, in Perth, Ontario. Here are a few fall photos-the leaves weren't as bright as they could have been, it was a cloudy day, and many of the trees hadn't turned yet...

Yesterday was our Canadian Thanksgiving, but nobody comes aymore, so I just made a dinner for 2, and now the turkey soup is cooking away! I bought a turkey breast, and then some bits and pieces of turkey (back, neck etc) for very cheap, and used those for the stock!

Pssst! and it was low carb!

That's it for me! Mittsy is quite disgusted with the colder days, although we are still able to have our "Wine Time" on the porch! Inky doesn't seem to mind. Have a wonderful week!

Chat GPT and I have been working hard to remove the purple square — hopefully it is gone!

I've had a busy week, I was in my art room every day, and so have a lot to show today. First, my desk, it needs a bit of cleaning up as my workspace is getting smaller and smaller!

I had an inspiration from Fodder School 2 to make a Sympathy card for a friend who lost her father, and so I made this...

I made a masterboard from a bunch of leftover fodder, after cutting it up, and adding a botanical cut out (TH dies) I had the focal point. I had several pieces leftover, and two more focal points for 2 more Sympathy cards, and a bunch more cards as well. I even have tiny ones to put in my tiny journals!

That was a lot of fun, and I might do it again this week! I worked on several journal pages as well this week. You may remember the page I didn't like last week:
